  1. Last time I used UltraISO to optomized the CD, it wasn't a true optomized. Any file that was remotely similar in size and name was considered the same, so ALL my boot sectors ended up being the same file, even though I changed four letters within it. Really bugged me.
  2. are your programs really in %CDROM%\Software? The "D:\Software...." line is correct. Keep in mind, the VM does nto use the same drive letters as your physical PC. In the VM's mind, your physical G: drive IS the D: drive in the system. It mounts the contents of the G: drive to D: within the VM.
  3. it's a shame you didn't read the Multiboot guide.... the file goes in the BOOT folders.
  4. if you follow the guide, you can't replace it for teh screen shown during setup.... however, all that is required is that you replace the kernel files in I386 with your modified (and CABed) kernel files.
  5. where did you get the foldername OEM from?
  6. http://unattended.msfn.org/global/compress.htm
  7. Do you have a Lars folder in $Docs\ in the $OEM$ folders?
  8. Depending on the hotfix, it's a combination of both. Do remember the /integrate ONLY works on CORE Windows hotfixes, not IE or WMP or .NET updates.
  9. @durex That's automatic upates. Different tweak. The service is needed by WU, but there is another thing called Auto Update that'sjust a normal registry tweak.
  10. The required DLLs should be in there...I just downloaded on this system, and it works perfectly. http://unattended.msfn.org/advanced/files/booteditor.exe Sure it's an SFX, but the required DLLs for it to work are included and working as the author suggeted.
  11. the components weren't updated for SP2 though....
  12. CS2 might be Adobe's version of 9.0. Macromedia did something similar with Dreamweaver (and other MX studio stuff). THey had the Dreamweaver MX which was 6.0, and then Dreamweaver MX 2004 which was 7.0

  14. pls let us know when you are done. Post it here so that we know. makeiso or makeimage (mkimg) pls. thank you <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or completely ignore my post....
  15. That's on the Unattended site by the way. As well as just the stand alone CDIMAGE EXE. There's also a preconfigured INI file to help new comers.http://unattended.msfn.org/global/cdimage.htm Again, if the same one I'm thinking of...it's ALSO on site, as well as having the neccesray DLLs without having to register them. http://unattended.msfn.org/advanced/cosmetics/bootscreen.htm PS: Just added alittle formatting to your post so it all doesn't just run together.
  16. http://unattended.msfn.org/global/cdimage.htm the program you're looking for is CDIMAGE. MAKEISO is a free ISO creation tool that's open source.
  17. that would have to be internal programming of WPI itself, and not this program.
  18. that makes 3 people... I have no idea what the problem is. I can download it just fine from whatever computer I'm on. I'm using IE6.0 SP2 with no download manager. Make sure you have referer IDs being sent by either your browser or the download manager you have. Your details would be helpful....
  19. enclose the statements in quotes.
  20. make sure the file is called WINNT.SIF and NOT UNATTENDED.TXT or WINNT.SIF.TXT (be able to see the file extensions to make sure)
  21. you've pointed out the problem line yourself. Congrats. Now just change it to YES. Interesting directory name.... "WinZeus"....
  22. http://unattended.msfn.org/advanced/cosmet...ard/classic.htm Ingore the first part.
  23. to both... A. When hexediting the BOOTSECTORS were you sure to use CAPITAL letters? Did you also OVERWRITE the 4 characters already there? Note I said OVERWRITE, NOT delete then type in their place. Check setupldr.bin as well. B. Did you edit TXTSETUP.SIF and SetupSourcePath correctly?
