    Conditionals?

I've been buggin Wraith about them since Xplode .8 or so. I've been working with him for a couple ways to implement them as well as pointing him at the WIHU conditions for examples as they're pretty powerful on their own.
  4. Well, one thing to remember.... Most members of the of the nLite forum don't really know much except about nLite (no offense to yall). Most people of the Unattended forum generalize in what they know (Unattended,Applications,nLite, other member apps). Rule of thumb, if it concerns nLite (bugs or errors) then post in the nLite forum. Otherwise, it's probally better to post in the Unattended forum (since I will most likely see it. All thsoe bug reports sort of cloud the nLite forum) And yes, UPDATE.EXE is the actual program that does everything in the service pack. It does the slipstreaming or the general installing on a system.
  5. if nothing else, it's heavily detailed in the deployment documentation on both the Microsoft site and included on deploy.cab on the CD. There are a few books that give glimpses of Unattended installs.... Windows XP Registry Windows XP Installation Both give glimpses but only go into automating the Windows install itself, with nothing really on adding applications.
  6. You could even try checking the Unattended site itself.... http://unattended.msfn.org/global/reference.htm#components
  7. exact error would be nice. Is it that the file is missing, or that setup says it's corrupted?
  8. because I merged both threads, as double posting = bad
  9. you need a full valid path for GUIRunOnce. ..\ is not valid in this instance.
  10. try refreshing, it loads here
  11. Yes, I recreated the ISO with the good boot files in UltraISO and I now have a working bootable CD. Though now I have a different problem that I think will require a new thread unfortunately. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was more refering to using CDIMAGE to create the ISO. Any direct ISO editing could render the ENTIRE image corrupt so I always recommend just recreating it everytime, SO it takes a few minutes longer, it saves a bit of hassle.
  12. No longer needed. MSFN is hosting it, and untill it becomes a problem, they'll remain direct downloads.
  13. did you try RECREATING the ISO using the page you've linked?

  20. MY vote is here
  21. taskkill or pskill Do some research on those two programs. taskkill is part of windows, pskill is from systernals.
  22. did you perhaps try to just import the required registry key? it would stink if it was that simple
  23. how much do you know first?
  24. Here's the difference.... One is maintained by a forum member, where as the other is by me. Also notice, that BESIDES CMDOW, all the others are hosted on MSFN's servers.
  25. what would you like to know? You sorta have to be kinda specific..
