Winamp for audio, same reasons as Zxian and hands down Vlc wins for video. unrivalled format compatability. ive yet to find a file that i cant play on it. unlike all the others

when i tried to make a Sfx using 7z and try to edit the dialogs to make it totally silent resource hacker tells me that it may have been made using a EXE Compressor. is there any way of getting round this. i have use PE Explorer before but last time i used it and res edited something and saved it again it lost nearly all the compression. seems that the guide may need updating as resource hacker doesnt work on it.

my personal preferance for anything todo with application packaging and deployment would be installshield although WinInstall LE is a very good free alternative.

i have just downloaded and tried out the new WinUHA RC1 to compare it against WinRAR and i am amazed at the results. 56.1MB unpacked size WinRAR Maximum Compression 17.6MB total WinUHA Maximum Compression 11.3MB total need i say more http://www.klaimsoft.com/winuha/ might be useful as a good alternative if u really want to cram stuff in to small spaces

Klite codec pack is the best ive found so far but as ripken says Vlc still beats having any codec pack as its yet to fail at playing anything ive thrown at it either.

i have now mentioned it in opera forums and they mentions something about iframes. so hopefully they wil fix the issue as its rather annoying.

hi i was just wondering if any of u might know but i use opera browser and not sure if it happens to anyone else but the drop down menus on the unattended site seem to be blocked by the Ad underneath.

just a quick question as about the theme. i was wondering how u made t and whether it was with TgT softs Stylebuilder or Stardocks Skin Studio.

im haing alot of trouble trying to use this app. Managed to find the Jar file for the theme. i placed it in the theme folder in profiles and it doesnt seem to have built it into the silent one. its not silent it stil says extracting when u run it ive tried the install switches and none have worked. also it doesnt seem to keep the preferances like not showing the bookmarks toolbar. still has the annoying extra search engines built in and doesnt keep the window position either.

hi im trying to make a skin for Vlc media player that is the same as the Windows Media Player 10 skin unfortunately their guide on the vlc site is absoluetey awful and makes no sense what so ever. if someone would be wiling to create one for me or give me a much easier to understand guide it would be greatly appreciated. many thanks

thanks for the info. just a quick question. in installed Xpized so i could get the files and other things for it and now my default shell32 icons for folders and cd drives arent working. i havea feeling its todo with the theme but i dont know how u do all this theming so if anyone could help out greatly appreciated. oh and does anyone know how i can rename it from saying " Turn Off This Computer.." in the startmenu. many thanks

Hi im doing my unattended Cd and im quite new to all the theming. i was wondering how i can edit the theme and build it into my unattended Xp cd so that it loads that theme as default along with the classic start menu . i was also wondering what the reg tweaks are to set the scr as defualt and the control panel. many thanks i hope that makes sense to some of u.

hi i was hoping someone would be able to give me a list of all the dll's or .exes that should be res edited so i can replaces icons and bitmaps so that i an change the default windows icons. so far ive only looked at mydocs.dll zipfldr.dll shell32.dll explorer.exe was hoping ppl wouldbne able to give me a shortlist of dlls worth looking at.

hi i was wondering if theres any way u can set the icons to be 48x48 with the same for the spacing so its default for when windows boots.

i have just finished making my bootloader after following the guide onthe unattended site. the question is. isnt it possible to just put them back in the windows source instead of having to use a batch file.

i hope its not vital as my Sp2 that i have only has v6.0.2900.2180

Nvm its worked now it just didnt take properly until i had rebooted a few times.
