I come from an Windows-based background. I started first with MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11. Last year I tried my first linux distro named Knoppix 3.3. I liked it, but I didn't LOVE it as Windows. When I use Windows I feel like a fish in the water, when I use linux...I'm just bored. For me, linux is much simpler than Windows. Of course, compiling the kernel is not a very easy task, but easy enough, esspecially with the 2.6.x version. The only thing I don't like about linux is the lack of good drivers, but then again, this is not community's fault but the producer's, esspecially ATi. I hope that will change and I hope this threads of Widows RULZ/Linux SUX and viceversa will dissapear once and for all.
