Read these: http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsServer2003...de/default.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003...generalfaq.mspx http://www.windowsitpro.com/SmallBusinessC...nter_45477.html http://whitepapers.zdnet.com/webcast.aspx?...78&docid=136352 http://hellomate.typepad.com/exchange/2003...ding_to_ex.html http://www.avidware.net/exchange/upgrade-e...e-2000-2003.asp
  2. Zxian is right. That article is a piece of crap. ringfinger ask yourself this: how can a human build a machine smarter than him? If he can do it, then he's NOT human, but beyound.
  3. It's SOCKET A! Slot A does NOT exist. That mobo is low-end, why don't you get MSI K7N2 Delta? It's better.
  4. Foxie is a piece of crap! IE7 and Firefox are much, much better.
  5. NTFS4DOS is bullsh!t! It doesn't work even the Pro version. Make yourself a CD using Bart PE Builder. It's much better.
  6. Those Vista good features, I guess won't be available util Vista SP1. Until then, nothing new, just eye-candy.
  7. Search on your PC where javaw.exe is located and this will give you an ideea what to delete. If it's in Program Files (where is should be) look for a file called uninst.exe or something similar. That's the uninstaller. There's a another more brutal way: delete the folder where javaw.exe is located and then run Regcleaner 4.3 to clean all the invalid registry entries. It helps also if you run Norton Windoctor and select the DELETE option to repair each problem. I know it's a harsh method but it works for me.
  8. As you can see here , Mcafee's ePolicy Orchestrator doesn't need Java to run. Maybe it's needed by another program. Anyway, my suggestion is to unistall Java.
  9. I'm using Win2k3 Enterprise Ed. on my workstation as well as on my server. It works great. Here's a nice tutorial you might consider: www.msfn.org/win2k3 .
  10. This "new and improved" GUI sucks big time. Bleah...
  11. javaw.exe belongs to JAVA from Sun Microsystems. If you uninstall Java, you'll solve the problem, unless you have any app that depends on Java.

    Windows XP...

I used Win 3.11 a while, but I didn't like it very much, so I managed my things with Dos Navigator. Win95 OSR-2 was a wonderful OS until Win98SE came along. I used it until WinXP+SP1 came out and I liked that too. Now I'm using Win2k3+SP1 and I love it. Vista...? I'll wait 'till WinFS will be implemented (probably SP1). IF they will implement WinFS in SP2 of Win2k3 I'll never switch to Vista.
  13. The SEARCH doesn't work. Or is it because I have googletoolbar installed?
  14. Never seen anything like that in 12 years of using a PC. I hear a lot of people complaining about that though. When I ask 'em: did you use WU? do you have an AV? How about a firewall? They all look at me like I'm trying to fool 'em. A stupid man deserves an infected PC.
  15. It depends what your definition of n00b is. All in all Windws is perfect for the noob. (Remember: a n00b loves games). Playin' games out-of-the-box is one of Windows' strong points when it comes to the n00b-factor.
  16. mercuryt take a look here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;323441
  17. Nice test. It convinced me to give Opera a try.
  18. I hope you're right! Anyway I'll stick to my good ol' Windows Server 2003. IT's the best Windows there is right now.
  19. Take a look on this page: http://www.homenethelp.com/network/firewire.asp
  20. prathapml... Anyway I moved pagefile.sys to another HDD and had the same performace as when it was on the same HDD where Windows was installed.
  21. OK, guys. You convinced me to leave it as it is.
  22. Well, we all know that RAM is more faster than swap, so I wanna make Windows use all available RAM before using pagefile.sys. Is there a way to do it?
  23. Is there a way to make Windows XP/2003 to use all available RAM and only when it's full to start using pagefile.sys? I know how to do that in linux, but I have no clue how to do it in Windows Server 2003...
  24. Vista sounds so...dumb! bleah...
