Kinda yeah. Its alot smaller, and its not made by Microsoft Plus there are literally tens of thousands of skins out there for Winamp. I may have been a little too general with my explanation of Winamp in my previous post. Winamp is actually alot more than just an MP3 player. It can play a range of video file types and audio file types, you are able to download many plugins for different visual effects, and alot more. I guess i can see how you can compare it to WMP9, but Winamp is a sh*t load better than WMP9. Its very compact, and doesnt use as much system resources. travel to winamp.com and check it out for yourself.

I think it costs something like 20 cents to turn a light on, but 2cents per hour to keep it running. In comparasin to your computer, its more cost effective to keep it running, rather than constantly booting up/shutting down. Its also better for your computer's innards too

I must say that i prefer the current skin to the one that XPerties linked to. --Edit-- Just having a geeze at that website, i noticed that you are able to change the post progress level indicators (we have stars here at MSFN) .. perhaps we could change them to something a little more spiffier? I downloaded that a few days ago. Its basically winamp2 I've yet to notice any significant changes.

Trust me .. its omnipitant within windows. Try this: Open up explorer. Open up your task manager to the perfance tab Now, with that open, left click on a file in explorer (any file, doesnt matter) then right click it. Notice the CPU usage. Nothing strange right? Now, right click a file, witout left clicking it first, and observe your CPU usage. What do you notice?
