Would anyone like a script that....
DaveXP replied to DaveXP's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
ok i have finshed most of the script and i need some testers for it. The Script Supports these Applications for an Unattended Install IE6 .NET framework DirectX 9b Movie Maker 2 WMP9 MSN6 Also SP1 and SP2 will be slipstream able if you have them, does not support hotfixes yet. Makes an ISO and supports burning to DVD/CD-R. Note: This is not test yet so remember to make sure important things are back up and i do not take any responeseable for anything that may happen. -

Hotfixes For Windows XP Professional SP1
DaveXP replied to Aaron's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
In the Unattended Guide for the Hotfixes it says add them to the .inf file and so on. That works fine but it does not display them in Add/Remove Programs. Why is this? -
Taskbar>Right Click>Properties>Start Menu>Customize>Advanced> The scrool down to the bottom of the text box like windows and click on "Run Command" then click apply.
-
after the user account is created in the cmdlines.txt make the user first then add the regisitry information and then that first start up after rebbot the program will install.

Editing WINNTBBU.DLL For Dummies
DaveXP replied to b0r3d's topic in Setup Billboard Screens for Windows
Why dont you just place the winntbbu.dll in the i386 and the double click setup.exe and the you can see it and then cancel it thats how i do it. -
i did that because you they going on about it
-
yer i understand this just take all the DirectX8 files out of the i386 then do makecab on the DirectX9 files and then replace them in the i386 again that will work.

UK file swappers face up to two years' imprisonment under new copyright regulations under the provisions of a European directive, that are expected to take effect in the UK this month. The Copyright and Related Rights Regulations 2003 was laid before Parliament on Friday after nearly a year's delay. It is expected to be passed in time to come into force by the end of October, according to legal experts. The EUCD is intended to aid copyright holders in cracking down on counterfeiting and piracy, but organizations such as UK think tank the Foundation for Information Policy Research (FIPR) argue that it is likely to tighten the grip of large companies on consumers, because of the way it is being implemented across the European Union. Struan Robertson, editor of the newsletter Out-Law, produced by UK law firm Masons, noted that this could be used to fine P2P users or send them to prison for up to two years. "By making a music file available for download for any other users of your chosen P2P network, you are communicating the work--potentially at least--to millions, i.e. to an extent that the music industry could say is prejudicing its rights," he said in a statement.
