  1. What?!!! A bug?!!! Just kidding. I've been playing the demo a lot. The graphics would be awesome if my graphics card was awesome. All the graphics settings for BF2 are set at low. If I try to turn them up any higher (that is, if I can even highlight that option) when I start playing the gameplay freezes every couple of seconds. But I don't really mind. Just wish the sniper rifle was better....
  2. I enjoy a good laugh! Thanks!
  3. Ok, today I was talking to someone at the college, and he said he and his friends had had the same problem. Luckily, the figured out a way around it. In your BIOS, set the AGP from 8x to 4x. I had mine set at 8x; it wouldn't run the game. After I switched to 4x, I could play! Why is this? I haven't a clue...While my graphics card isn't that great, I love playing the game.
  4. That looks sweet! But I don't think I need another game...I'm on the PC as much as it is!
  5. Ok, I figured something out. On most/all of those axis-cgi folders is a jpg folder. So, just change the search parameters.... inurl:"axis-cgi/jpg" (Yes, include the quotes) While it's not a moving image, all you have to do is hit refresh and the image will update.
  6. All the links ask me to save the file. I'm running IE 6.0.
  7. When I first used AIM, the darn JAVA ads kept freezing up AIM. When I loaded AIM Ad Hacks, I kept getting kicked off every 10 minutes or so. When I switched to GAIM, all was well.
  8. Now, if you threw a pie in Tom Cruise's face... "Why would you do that? You're a jerk. You are a jerk."
  9. I play CS 1.6 but was thinking about getting CS:Source. Is Source worth it? I've heard some people say that CS 1.6 is still better, but others have told me that Valve is really pushing CS:Source. Here are my specs: P4 2.4B Ghz 1GB DDR400 ATI Radeon 9200 128MB 8x AGP Pro 1.6 runs ok, but I still lag a bit. I think it's my stupid Linksys WRT54G....
  10. I had trouble installing NAV CE on a laptop just like you did. It turned out that the MS Anti-spyware software was blocking the installation. If you do have a worm, get rid of that first. Next, disable all anti-spyware. Then, try installing NAV. Hope that helps!
  11. You really have to feel sorry for Bill Gates. No matter how much you hate someone, the tactics used in that video are equivalent to those used by 1st graders. Someone ought to throw pie at those guys for making the human race look bad.
  12. Hey there! I just set up my WPA-PSK network two days ago, so I can hopefully be of a lot of help because it took me nearly an hour to set up mine. I ran into many problems. But it was so stupid I should have known the answer...MAC address filter...heh.... Anyways; does your girlfriend's laptop have Windows XP SP2 on it? If not, this update from Microsoft will enable the WPA option in your network profile. Setting up your network; do you have MAC address filtering on? That's one thing I completely forgot about. For some stupid reason I thought that even if I swapped network cards I'd still have the same MAC address. That wasted about 45 minutes of my time setting up the network. Also, is her wireless adapter built in or is it literally a card? Does it even support WPA? Try updating the drivers for it, too. Hope that is some bit of help...it's nearly 1 AM here and I really need to get some sleep.
  13. Acer makes nice laptops, too! You might want to check out their website.
  14. I've got the WRT54G v3. I bought it back in August because it was on sale and I heard it was a good router. However, since two of my computers were still using 802.11b wireless adapters, the stupid router kept kicking them off. So fast forward to Christmas - got 2 new 802.11g wireless adapters. They are very nice, and support WPA-PSK. Well, haven't gotten kicked off yet. HOWEVER, my internet does slow down. And when playing CS, I lag like crazy. I never had that problem with my Netgear router, and that was 802.11b! I'm ready to shoot my Linksys router!
  15. What LLXX said. Centrino is just some kind of marketing scheme by Intel. Something about friggin' lazer beams on top of their friggin' heads...
  16. As an early Christmas present, I got the results back from a blood test I took last week. I'm allergic to everything. *Starts building bubble to live in*
  17. Remember, Jedi can use the force to sense their opponent's next movements. And time could slow down for them; what seems fast to us may seem like slow motion to the Jedi. Also, Obi-Wan has his lightsaber, and a cool beard!
  18. Halo Battlefield 1942 Battlefield 2 UT2004 Steam games, such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life 2, etc. Thanks!
  19. All that RAM is for running the games, no the OS! This article was just published a day or to ago, and it has some nice charts that show why you might want 1 or 2 GB of ram.
  20. We're roughly halfway through the month and only 4 pages? I'm gonna have to make a Christmas background....
  21. Will the command shell be a GUI or a command line type setup? Will the command shell layout, look, etc. be customizable? Will there be any shortcuts to access the graphics settings so that you can easily fix the AA/AF settings, instead of having to right click on the desktop, click properties, etc, or going through the control panel? I guess GE will use NTFS? Will GE be able to run any apps that enable players to be able to talk to each without having to load the actual game, programs such as XFire or GAIM? How about programs like STEAM? Will you be able to host games using GE? Thanks again!
  22. Java .NET Framework Adobe Acrobat Reader Windows Media Player Winrar MS Office Symantec Anti-Virus ATI Control Panel (heh) Paint Shop Pro Quicktime Gaim Cyberlink PowerDVD Nero Ad-Aware Codecs Steam (which in turn installs Counter-Strike) ~ teh end ~
