  1. This article may be of some help; granted, my situation was different, but it's still worth a try. Good luck!
  2. Genius! Now MORE people will legally/illegally download music!
  3. Also, don't run the microwave for a really long time.
  4. Look up "Googlebombing" on Wikipedia.
  5. 44 more days of school, yippee! *Edit* - ImageShack shrunk the first picture I uploaded. Let's try this one....
  6. Er...what? Anyways - I loved the post at the top of this page. Just wanted to say I thought the author presented a fair view of both processors. And I also wanted to say I love the new Pentium M's. Heck, even the Celeron M's are nice!
  7. Let's just ask someone in West Virginia...
  8. Ok ok ok, I thought it over, and my last post was wrong. I MEANT to say: The guy's wife is really his aunt. That's what I meant to say.
  9. man's mother-in-law = woman's mother woman's mother = man's mother-in-law Thus: the womans mother is the mother of the mans mother the man's mother and his wife were sisters. He must be his wife's cousin?
  10. Halo 3! I wish they'd release Halo 2 on the PC. I really enjoyed the first one. I've read all the novels, too. Anyone know if they'll write a novel for Halo 2?
  11. Awesome Zxian, Star Wars! But I was expecting the fighters to attack the Death Star and blow it up then Padme to pop up as a reward or something....
  12. February! Greater chance of snow! Counter-Strike - Counter-terrorists or Terrorists?
  13. Awesome! Where's the guide to create all that stuff!?
  14. Nice! I like the "Mine! Mine!" bit from "Finding Nemo."
  15. Redhead! Cereal with or without milk?
  16. I downloaded the demo -- it's alright. Here's the mission I accomplished:
  17. You could use the Recovery Console to reinstall explorer.exe -- I had to do that on my Father's laptop; it works fine, now.
  18. This article may be of some help. I've used it to recover data from a bad harddrive, but not from a formatted harddrive. It might be of some help.
  19. I have that problem sometimes, too; though it is very seldom. Other times, when XP starts, the little icon will have the little yellow ball scrolling back and forth underneath, and the bubble that appears over the icon states "Acquiring network address..." I believe this was discussed in an earlier thread; if you do a search for it, you may be able to find it. Just do a search for "Acquiring Network Address"; it should come up. Thus, you might find an answer there... Hope that is of some help.
  20. IBM also uses some technology that allows the drive to "freeze" if you drop the notebook, lessoning the damage of your data. Or is that just part of the notebook itself, and not of the harddrive? And don't Powerbooks use that technology, too? I believe my friend said his did...
  21. I'm actually in a Dreamweaver class this semester, and I must say I've found it very frustrating to use. There's just SO many buttons! I taught myself how to create HTML webpages a couple of years ago using one of those illustrated guide books. Though the book was simple, it enabled me to move on to bigger and better books, such as the HTML Blackbook. For me, it is easier to type all the code into Notepad, and if I stumble upon something I can't figure out how to code, I can either look it up online or look in a book, such as the HTML Blackbook. For others, maybe it's easier to use Dreamweaver. I'm sure if I had started out with Dreamweaver first, it would have been easy for me. Also -- I used to work for a news website. The webmaster was avid about me using Notepad and not a WYSIWYG program. That's just my 2 cents. Don't get me started on Frontpage.
  22. When buying a surge protector, make sure it supports the largest amount of joules and has the lowest nano second count. Does that make sense? I've got an el cheapo surge protector - but all that plugs into that are my phone charger and an extra monitor. The PC and REAL monitor plug into a REAL surge protector. However, my Dad uses an el cheapo protector for the family computer...They will regret it.
  23. I like Pepsi. A few years back they had the Star Wars Pepsi cans -- those were cool!
