In my expereience Windows 7 (x64 or x86) just do not go well with any audio equipment . You're absolutely right , one of the reasons is DRM. I have several pro-grade sound cards and they sound awful with win7 , despite being officially supported . As soon as I put them in Vista PC , the sound is amazing .

Windows 7 is super-duper slow and it's a huge blob of spyware/bloatware (what they call "telemetry" now). Of course they had to boost hype to sell this absolutely unneeded OS. @Jaguarek62 , I do not need many cores , I need a strong dual or quad core CPU with real cores (no hyperthreading). 1.35 is considered a good result ? I tried to avoid AMD because they were too hot and power hungry . And now the choices are very limited ! I have had various CPUs over all of my years in computing and only a small percentage where they could do a good overclock . I agree about Intel greediness , but you said it yourself - AMD Ryzen is pretty bad . I do not know what to choose . I was also considering this , even though this one is locked. Why ? Problems do not appear when running it on Vista too. I was under the impression that video hardware acceleration is just not possible due to XP lacking DXVA 2.0, perhaps this is why there were reports about all those yotube crashes on XP . I'm on Vista and I have none , with or without acceleration. WEb-Gl is a security hole , we are kinda trying to make a privacy oriented browser here...

Did you try to reduce the quality ? like 360p or 480p ? BTW , it's no wonder newer chrome will consume more RAM , besides yuotube will load much more bloat/scripts if it sees a newer browser useragent.

Open this .pak file in any HEX propramme and choose "position" / "go to offset" , dial 13022 and it will bring you to the extension master key.

No , but you can always check yourself . It's a 5 min. job to cut these out of the res. file. The browser unpacks these hidden extensions each time you launch it.

I was looking for a mobo here , but they don't have anything older than 2020. So it will be a newer AGESA. What was the lowest version you were able to downgrade to ?
