  1. Pretty much what I expected. Not the first time you've cited how slow your computer is and I know I wouldn't use that "all the time" if I didn't HAVE TO, lol. Almost some sort of, "What are you doing this weekend?" "I'm paying bills." "All weekend?" "Yep, it takes about 2 hours to pay the water bill, about 3 hours to pay the electric bill, about 2.5 hours to pay for cable, et cetera." I have a '55 also, but it doesn't exaclty get driven every day.
  2. My daily drivers are a 2003 and a 1991 - so yep, I drive a very old car also, so RESPECT, my dear friend! I'm afraid I don't quite see the older-browser on older-hardware quite the same. I mean, one post tells other folks to consult to a modern browser on a tablet. Another post cites Mypal 68, New Moon, and Serpent being for the sake of old hardware on old operating systems. Did you really cite a full MINUTE on one browser and five to six times that on another browser? *SIX MINUTES* to wait for a "captcha" to complete? Okay, that's *WHY* you have the tablet, lol. The thing is, though, web browsers USED TO BE "optimized" relative to the OS. Nowadays, that is NOT what these browser forks "do". Consider, for a moment, a bucket of 2,000 javascript functions. If 100 of those functions are seldom used "in the wild" but the mere compatability being implemented results in a captcha taking SIX MINUTES versus THIRTY SECONDS, then should that browser "support" those 100 javascript functions? I say a resounding NO. But again, that's not how these forks are designed, they're designed to get us as close as possible to that FULL bucket of 2,000 javascript functions NO MATTER WHAT THE COST IS TO "PERFORMANCE". I mean, most of us (myself included!) try to have it both ways, we expect to run our old hardware but think it should do everything that new hardware can do. But again, RESPECT, my fellow old car driver.
  3. 13.5.1030 Redux has a new menu when you click the avatar in the upper right - The "hamburger" menu is also new -
  4. I second that. I still prefer that version's cosmetics and while I see the "null" error in the Error Console, I see zero effects on layout or search results but I also never search Google while "logged in". I do perform "advanced searches" but strictly via URL snips or Proxomitron.
  5. The very last "section" basically allows you to add any .css that you want. Granted, my Google experience is also heavily Stylus'd so I did not test this independent of my Stylus userstyle. In bold is the tiny mod I made - <excerpt> // And some additional styles let styles = ` <style type="text/css"> #restored-pagination.AaVjTc { margin: 30px auto 30px; } #restored-pagination.AaVjTc td { padding: 0; text-align: center; } #restored-pagination.AaVjTc a:link { color: ${isDarkMode ? "#8ab4f8" : "#4285f4"}; font-weight: normal; } #restored-pagination .SJajHc { background: url(/images/nav_logo321_hr.webp) no-repeat; background-size: 167px; overflow: hidden; background-position: 0 0; height: 40px; display: block; } #restored-pagination .NVbCr { cursor: pointer; } #restored-pagination .YyVfkd { color: ${isDarkMode ? "#bdc1c6" : "#202124"}; font-weight: normal; } .T7sFge { display: none; } </style> `; </excerpt>
  6. Nice new nugget, thanks. Though I'm having to stick with an older version (3.0.5578) [3.0.5988 also works]. For some reason, GPU% doesn't work for 3.0.6040 and higher, technically only tried on this one computer so far.
  7. What did you see as buggy in the sp00n version? I like the sp00n version better but I did have to modify it slightly but only to remove the "More results" at the bottom of only page 1.
  8. Anyone have a screenshot of what this flag looks like - "A persistent flag is now available to ensure that the system handles titlebar drawing on Windows 10: #disable-windows-10-custom-titlebar." ? If not, no worries, I just won't be able to get it into a VM until over the weekend. Disregard. Found this and it's NOT what I thought this flag was gonna do. I was hoping that a traditional title bar had returned to Chrome-based Supermium. Everyone has their preference, of course, and yeah, I'm Old School, I'm just not a fan of Chrome not having a "real" title bar. Monitors are too big and way cheaper than they used to be, I don't mind losing a TINY portion of "real estate" for the sake of a "real" title bar and a "real" status bar.
  9. Agreed. I'm actually one of them. It would take two hands and one foot to count the digits of times where MSFN Members have "disliked" the manner in which my OCD manages my PMs. "Not my problem" At any rate - @Sampei.Nihira, any guidance you may have on implementing the webp patch for 360Chrome browsers would be helpful. I could very likely "learn it" on my own, to be honest, but the priority on doing that is very very VERY low and other 360Chrome users would "probably" prefer to not wait that long, lol.
  10. It's a standard forum practice - we are storing "our files" on "their hardware" so they do have to protect storage space from being abused. If your attachments are "pictures", you can upload them to a file hosting service but I admit that I seldom (if ever) do that because then a post that would have taken 15 seconds now takes 15 minutes. I don't always "have" those 15 minutes.
  11. Thanks. I do have a file called libwebp-1.3.2 - webp patch.zip (I don't recall if I renamed it on my end or not) that was provided by an MSFN Member for the purposes of patching 360Chrome. But that same MSFN Member has not answered any PMs since October 1 (the timestamp on my downloaded patch which inside is dated September 13). So this seems to have fallen upon a degree of "I have to teach myself how to implement the patch" which is simply not a priority "in my life". Maybe some day - because I felt "safe" on XP because hackers tend not to waste their time with such a small subset of society, but I do not have the sense of security (real or perceived) now that I'm on Win10.
  12. My view will be different than yours but still basically the same process. Click the down-arrow by your name then click the My Attachments menu item. Then delete all of the attachments that are no longer needed. Whatever post you were in the middle of that you couldn't upload will likely need started over after freeing storage space by deleting no-longer-needed attachments.
  13. My Google Voice doesn't use verification codes. It's strictly username and password without any two-step BS. But it could be because my fake throwaway Google email address dates way back to 2004 when somebody that already had a Google account had to "invite" me to open a Google account. I admit that I kind of have no clue what is involved in opening new Google accounts nowadays.
  14. Sure. I've been meaning to get it updated one of these days. For example, it still contains some "Google Suggest" telemetry.
  15. <excerpt> Account creation requires an iOS or Android device regardless of the platform intended to be used. </excerpt> That rules me out. I don't own an iOS or Android device.
  16. What is "Telegram" ??? Is it something like MS Teams that you have to "invite" the recipient to join? Is it something that I can type in a PHONE NUMBER and it will send an SMS?
  17. Unsure what is meant by "voice chat". I use Google Voice and it works in XP using 360Chrome v13 or v13.5. If you know what Vonage or magicJack is, that's basically Google Voice. I do not own a phone - no land line, no cell phone, no mobile phone, nothing. I make all phone calls using Google Voice and an XP-compatible web browser.
  18. Chill. Just a figure of speech. Besides, I've seen MSFN Members "threaten" other MSFN Members with "I've screencap'd what you just said, I will use it against you if I need to". That has to be much more in violation of forum rules then some "just messin" phrase and the "literal meaning" of "never heard of". Oh well, life's too short,
  19. Yes you have. Maybe you meant that you've never used them. waka waka waka https://msfn.org/board/topic/185031-webp-virus-fears-nightmares-suggestions-or-exodus-from-the-internet/?do=findComment&comment=1252187 https://msfn.org/board/topic/183016-palemoon-drama-has-gotten-bad/?do=findComment&comment=1205651 Just messin' with ya. edit: wait, one was about never hearing of Pale Moon, not New Moon. But like I say, I'm just messin' anyway. I'm not a big fan of Firefox Forks but they DO have a VERY large following - ESPECIALLY here at MSFN. Maybe more true a few years ago than "today", but several Firefox Forks are updated WEEKLY here at MSFN and there is a VERY large following of those forks. Okay, "very large" is perhaps relative. But if you've ever opened the "most active" or "recent activity" links here at MSFN, the fork thread is there EVERY FRIDAY like CLOCKWORK.
  20. The difference between "Off" and "Standard" is very very slight. It is the "ClearType" setting that is the Biggest Piece Of "Boot Polish" ever invented (as far as XP and Vista, I have no issues in Win10).
  21. I guess so. Something like that. I don't "regret" creating the 2036 and 2044 for users that specifically requested it! But nope, they're "not for me". But at the same time, I wouldn't really have known, with 100% certainty, that they're "not for me" UNTIL creating them and truly using them for several months.
  22. Disagree! Browser choice is always ALWAYS ALWAYS a matter of PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Those that want to use v11, v12, v13, v13.5.2022, v13.5.2036, v13.5.2044, v13.5.1030, you name it, is all up to THEIR PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
  23. That said, I personally kind of "regret" ever releasing a 2044 - it (and 2036 and 2022) really is (are) INFERIOR to 1030.
  24. As do I. But I can confirm Anbima's font issue in XP. I do not think 2044 and 1030 are any different whatsoever as far as font rendering.
