@verta And if VirtualBox Guest Additions breaks after extended kernel installation (it doesn't run after installing extended kernel), use these steps to fix it (comment number 1246). I used these steps, and it fixed Guest Additions for me.

Basically, when wanting to install the updates required for extended kernel, I just follow TSNH's guide (the "Preparations:" section, from 3. to 6.). Works everytime.

I'm sorry, but seriously, @FranceBB tried to explain Avast's behavior to you as much as he can, and you don't appreciate it? This is disrespect and mockery, considering he took his time to write all of this to you, and you also wrote you don't like outdated articles (but want "Fact-checked" and up to date articles, and you sent an outdated article yourself), yet instead of taking the time to appreciate how he explained it as much as he can to you, you just disrespect and mock his explanation to you as "words, words, words, lots of words"! In my opinion, I think FranceBB shouldn't explain things to you next time then, if you will mock his explanations like that.

Assuming that the application itself still doesn't work for you, use the web player instead. https://open.spotify.com/

Well, because it didn't remove any viruses I had, it just gave me a notification saying that the viruses were removed, but the viruses were still there despite the notification. And since this happened, I removed it completely and never bothered with it again anymore after this, unfortunately. AVG's latest version for XP, despite being 6 years old, was in fact able to remove them without any issues.

You can use a custom Chrome made by @win32 instead. Here is the link to it.

My Browser Builds (Part 4)
mina7601 replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
No, it's not a Mozilla browser, but rather a platform toolset in Visual Studio 2017, which is used to build apps for Windows Vista and later. Not to be confused with v141_xp, a platform toolset, which is used to build apps for Windows XP and later. For reference, here is a link to each Visual Studio version and their platform toolsets versions. -

Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 2000 KernelEx[RESOLVED]
mina7601 replied to mrbean001's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
There was an attempt at installing .NET Framework 4.5 on Windows 2000, and it was successful. However, not a single .NET Framework 4.5 app was ran successfully. Here, see this article. (you will have to use a translator, as the link sends to a japanese site) -
KernelEx 2022 (Kex22) Test Versions (4.22.26.2)
mina7601 replied to jumper's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
No. KernelEx works only on 9x OSes (except Windows 95). For Windows 2000, there's blackwingcat's extended kernel. -

I'm not saying you are wrong about security vulnerabilities, but this shouldn't be a problem IMO, the main concern is its compatibility with websites. -
Possible Account Hack From Los Angeles (2 Days Ago)
mina7601 replied to legacyfan's topic in Site & Forum Issues
Yeah sure, lol. Funny you say Vistapocalypse made a serious violation, when you, in fact, did it the first. Please stop making me laugh out loud! And don't you dare attempt to start another argument/bickering/drama here in this topic about it. We've had enough of this already. @Vistapocalypse First, I agree with you about the reputation feature (despite it being discussed 6 months ago). Second, IMHO, I say no need to leave this forum. I understand you are disappointed by some members here (and believe me, I [as well as legacyfan] am disappointed too), but I never felt the need to leave MSFN, despite all of these continuingly happening here at MSFN. "Or what? you will report me? Go ahead! Don't forget to include the offensive posts by your friend." OK sir, I'll make sure to remind the moderators to Shift+Del your (and Cocodile and your old friend Dixel) existence from MSFN, since you keep asking me to report you. -
Possible Account Hack From Los Angeles (2 Days Ago)
mina7601 replied to legacyfan's topic in Site & Forum Issues
Thanks, but please never take it as me being hostile to legacyfan, I'm not and will never be, I just didn't understand his behavior, that's all really. The investigation is not even over yet, and you want this topic closed? This is harsh, don't you think? I say better not, let it stay open, because I am curious to see how will the investigation end. Our supervisor Tripredacus just made only 1 reply here in this topic and nothing new yet, so I say nah, let this topic stay open. Besides, we have to be fair. Not because Tripredacus has made his reply here about the account locking in this topic means we request him to ban legacyfan threateningly, instead, we should let the discussion continue. I recommend you (and D.Draker) do not try to troll (I could have said ruin, but troll is a much stronger word) this topic any further, because it does no good, but only shows who is truly causing trouble and arguments here. Thanks. -
@MarioMan7890 I recommend you to remove the archive.org link to the modified Windows on your main post, because it's a violation of forum rules, rule 1.a.

mina7601 replied to legacyfan's topic in Site & Forum Issues
I'll really never get what's the point of you making topics like this in the first place, if you will then later on request moderators to close them. You do this a lot, and every single time. -

Uh, I don't get it. Why did you link to a post of mine? I just hope you're not trying to bring me into this matter. Thanks.
