  1. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I can't download KernelEx v3.1 (nor any other version) in English: Windows2000-KB935839-v31M-x86-ENU.wlu The error message is: Bad GateWay If you don't use thedirect link, please change security level down at this site. I tried with FF105, IE 11, and even Tor. Does someone have an alternative link? thank you Apparently the problem is solved, it was just needed to go to the Windows Legacy Update (http://win2k.org/wlu/wluen.htm) and search for the keyword "Extended".
  2. I think I didn't explain properly ... I have Installed Visual Studio 2010 but I cannot Run it ... I believe that someone has misunderstood me and believe that now my visual basic works .... but it is not ..
  3. Ok, yes there is a reason for using vs 2010... yes I have BlackWingCat's KernelEx, if you want all specs here there are: Pentium 4 | 2.80 GHz Windows 2000 with SP4 and BlackWingCat's KernelEx 2.8b and I managed to install .net framework 2.0 SP2 and .net 3.5 (with IE6 if it helps) In this previous topic: https://msfn.org/board/topic/178700-visual-studio-2010-on-windows-2000-kernelex/ I managed to Install .net framework 4.0 (in 5 hours! ) Now it vs2010 is installed properly... The only problem is that it gives me an error when I open. So I think that it can compile properly if I have KernelEx installed correctly
  4. Hello everyone! in this topic: https://msfn.org/board/topic/178700-visual-studio-2010-on-windows-2000-kernelex/ I talked about my problem with installing visual studio 2010 express on windows 2000. The only problem now is that I can't open it... In fact when I open it says: "Invalid License data. Reinstall is Required." So anyone knows why this happen? I also tried from those sites: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2673275/how-do-i-fix-an-invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required-error-in-visual-c https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9ff4bb25-eb12-4554-bea1-d67683ab535d/message-quotvisual-studio-2010-shell-invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-requiredquot-when?forum=vssetup https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/blogs/invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required-visual-studio-2010 https://forum.unity.com/threads/if-anyone-is-having-visual-studio-shell-2010-invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required.298824/ https://superuser.com/q/651261 https://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/80293/invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required-error-when-installing-sharepoint-2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdlZ4R22JwE https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-visual-fortran-compiler-for-windows/topic/537871 http://gerryhampsoncm.blogspot.com/2016/01/installing-configuration-manager-visual.html https://www.advancedinstaller.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27839 So, I tried to modify the registry as the seventh link says but it didn't work.... I tried also to install subinacl and modify registry keys Other links says about *.sln files... But I opened only the executable file... So... Anyone knows why and how to resolve this? Thanks
  5. Perfect! It is installed! But only 2 optional components are not installed: Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5(x86) - Windows XP Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5 Update(x86) - Windows XP but it is installed! So MANY Thanks @win32 for your help and @blackwingcat for his KernelEx Now I will go to his blog and try to find those components
  6. Hello, I'm back! So I made it! I installed succesfully .net framework 4.0 for windows 2000! I downloaded this utility for checking installation: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/astebner/2008/10/13/net-framework-setup-verification-tool-users-guide/ It says all OK. Now the problem is that I can't bypass this setup limitation... In fact it tries anyway to install .net framework.... I noticed that is 4.0 but is for multi target.. So I think that I should find some vs 2010 setup that installs directly without all those features.... Anyone has a link? UPDATE: I tried and now is installing, I will update you in case of success or failure. See you later! (P.S. I really appreciate your help )
  7. Seriously?? Ahh ok so I will gave him like 5 hours or something..... See you in 5 hours XD
  8. Ok, I tried to install .net framework 4.0 RC3 from @blackwingcat blog, but I think is in a loop... I started the program more than 2 hours ago and it keeps installing.... I also found a comment describing the same problem(I used google translate from Japanese to English)
  9. I have windows 2000 in english. Should I download the third file on this list? .Net Framework 4.0 For Win2000(for Extended Kernel v2.1b and later) RC1 http://w2k.flxsrv.org/cgi-bin/wluc.cgi?OS=1&TYPE=-1&LANG=0&DATE=201&DATE2=/&KEY=.net+4.0&DLANG=2 UPDATE: If I download the third file(The non-beta file) it says not found.... but there is a string in the end of the url "&lang=ja"(language = japan) if I remove it, the site gives me a bad gateway error
  10. Hello Everyone! I have an old laptop (Pentium 4 2.80GHz, 30 GB hard drive, 512MB RAM) where I installed Windows 2000 with KernelEx 2.8c Many programs that didn't work before now work perfectly. Now I would like to install Visual Studio 2010 Express (requires only 2GB). Here's what I did: I downloaded the Visual Studio offline iso file from the internet I downloaded a utility called ImDisk (It allows to emulate a dvd drive when you select the iso) I tried to start the program, it started, but it didn't go far ... Because it gave an error when it tried to install the .net Framework 4.0 Multi-target. On the internet I have found nothing on how to run it on Windows 2000. Anyone knows? Thanks (P.S. I managed to install .net framework 3.5 and .net framework 2.0 SP2)
