  1. I definitely agree with you, older electronics were built to last, that's why I love using them over new ones for sure! Even Soviet electronics, that were told to be avoided, still last for me to this day without any major repairs.
  2. My Vista experience is okay, being a long time Win7 user, it wasn't hard to adapt Vista for the first time, it felt so smooth and well put together with SP2 + updates to 2020. I think it's still a very good usable option for legacy Windows users that has a stable extended kernel
  3. I hate when people use that responsive web design with some heavy java script on their websites..

Mhm, go look at my thread about MEGA.NZ users and why I get annoyed whenever I see anyone using it especially here of all places :/

Yeah js is everywhere and it's annoying :x

The design should be renamed "unresponsive". It apparently exists to enforce planned obsolescence of computers and, probably more likely, "devices". I'm particularly annoyed by forums being replace by "free, modern, secure and up-to-date" alternatives like Discourse, which until recently couldn't even be read in old browsers, or any of those strangely threaded engines with replies out of order. Old forums, like Doom9 fly on any computer.

""free, modern, secure and up-to-date" alternatives like Discourse"

I remember someone suggested replacing the RPi forums to Discourse. I mentioned the fact it would probably be unusable on the Pi itself. Pretty much ended the whole discussion and any future consideration.

  4. Not so long ago installed Server 2008 SP2 and I'm wondering what are the updates to install the ESU updates from M$?

  6. Hi, When connecting my Redmi 6a phone (also enabling USB tethering) I got two question marks in device manager and when using the Acer RNDIS driver it says "Windows was unable to locate a driver for this device"..
  7. Sorry for bumping, but where to find a working driver for Win2000?
  8. Odyssey client gives up connecting to my network at all, now about boingo is that it takes some time to connect to my network (including hung ups and time outs)
  9. I tried Boingo and yes it works, but sometimes when connecting it likes to hung up
  10. Tried that, still nothing. Even tried reinstalling, disabling and enabling the driver in device manager, still..
  11. Greetings, I'm setting up an HP nx6110 laptop and I installed Windows 2000 Professional on it, but when I installed the extended kernel, wireless stopped working as my Intel/PROSet wireless says it doesn't detect a wireless adapter...
  12. It appears Both SumatraPDF & Audacity don't like non-SSE2 processors..
  13. Actually, not much needs to be done to get it running: https://nojus.trexion.com/local/projects/AudacityXP_setup.exe
  14. Just to make things easier, I created an installer for it http://nojus.trexion.com/local/tmp/SumatraPDF_3.3XP.exe
  15. I was right, integrating only the SATA drivers solved the problem.
  16. They propably like calculator flowers
  17. Now, I did also integrate the network, video & audio driver and wonder if that could be the blame too. Going to make another ISO, but with only the SATA drivers integrated.
  18. Greetings, I'm currently in process of installing Windows XP x64 Edtion on this Dell Optiplex GX620, but when pressing any key to boot from CD, black screen appears for a few seconds and then says the following: Could it be so that using the universal SATA driver from win-raid [LINK] could have been the cause or even better selecting every controller in the list, since I'm wasn't sure kind of controller is in the machine.
  19. Welp, I've tried @kitaro1's fix, but still the same thing... I even changed the UserAgent for google.com (as Firefox 68) but still! (Just to remind you I'm using the latest Serpent x86 build 2020-05-02)
  20. Hello, Is anyone having problems with reCAPTCHA lately? Because I do, everytime I'm greeted the following message: Because of it, I am unable to solve any (stupid) captcha's. Any help is appreciated
  21. The only update I'm aware is KB948963 that is a cipher upgrade to enable AES128 and AES256 in WinSSL...
  22. After installing the broken update, Office 2003(yes I have two office versions installed, 2003 & 2010) refused to open any .docx files, but after replacing with the older MSO.DLL, it was back on working again
  23. Keep in mind Advanced Chrome 54 is older then regular Chrome 49
  24. After examing, it appears that these are the following functions missing in certain file(s): ADVAPI32.DLL EventRegister EventUnregister EventWrite MSVCRT.DLL _except_handler4_common _ftol2 _ftol2_sse d2d1.dll(?) Anyone who have eXPrience like @FranceBB could patch it, as i'm not well known with DLL patching myself (though would like to learn on how-to)
