Pretty much the same ... I've only 2 reliable GB (one 2GB stick - one 500MB stick - one 500MB stick going bad) in my optiplex and only 2BG in my dimension (two 1GB sticks), so while I can use v13, watching videos is awful, so V11 is the reasonable solution. EDIT: So long as I'm not doing something that requires stability, I will put the bad 500MB stick in and put up with the memory issues, but both 500MB sticks are ancient and I'm shocked they will remember anything at all, while the one 2GB stick is reliable. Lol, sorry for the off topic ... at least I didn't start talking about the weather. Brain Fog up ahead I can see

Yeah.. As its said: All of these lines across our face tells the story of who we are.

Hmmm ... will have to give this another go then seems like.

I use --disable-gpu (I never use hardware acceleration) - I was not aware of --no-first-run. Thank you EDIT: Sorry, was on Serpent and just fired up 360 V11 with that --no-first-run and it started right up quicker than ever before. My word, what a great suggestion. Plus, there is no longer the creation in 360\User Data a first run file (and upon close, it is no longer present), only local state file which I keep. Is that right?

See how happy I look :)

Yes yes! Having an issue with something is different than having "issues" has that latter implies there is something "wrong", where its not wrong (bad or incorrect) to *examine life*. It is good to question and even having a problem is not akin to having "problems", because, again, the latter has negative connotations. We needn't see ourselves as wrong; ever. We are not even designed to be content (by nature), we always question and (our minds) wonder (and wander), because that wonder can lead to change so long we recognize with change comes new possibilities and challenging circumstances. Remember, when you allow your mind to wander you are still in the drivers seat so be leery to drift into dark territory (very very difficult to do sometimes) and bring back to self and the present. Wonder and wander and you won't be "stuck". Even the smallest change can result in improvement. Look ahead, but not too far, rather, references the past but don't look back as its gone. Your life starts TODAY. I will write more later, but need to post this as it came to me and I feel its important as I'm hit a block (this happens to me often). Thank you for understanding that my writing can be (more than) a bit weird, because I AM (very) weird; without question. Off the wall nuts ... Ha Always laugh at your situation and you'll be laughing with you not at you. EDIT: Please accept my apologies as I need to edit this a few times to made sure its right and I will give more thought to the phrase "missing out" today. Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Intrusive thoughts are only thoughts - they are not you - they will pass in a moment. Let silence not wear at your resolve when your mind tries to tell you you're alone. Be kind to yourself - find love within and you'll never feel alone - you are not alone. Feel and BE - listen, ask, and be right there when YOU (yourself) come calling - always right there when ever you need ME; you see! -XPerceniol

Force "multiprocess mode" in FF 52
XPerceniol replied to Mathwiz's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
I don't know ... Lol! I reset user_pref("network.websocket.enabled and its gone, so I guess it was no longer active. I've been carrying those prefs around for a while because at one point I was told it was a security issue. I guess I'll decrease my paranoia and reset them their defaults. I trust somebody here would say something about that is it were still an issue on Serpent 52. I actually gave up on FF52.9.1 and only use it for testing now.- 142 replies

Yeah, Oddly enough, I picked up a few scary plants at the little shop of horrors and they are hard to tame. One will often shout "Feed Me". https://www.finegardening.com/article/scary-plants-for-your-halloween-garden

I will write more a bit later as I do have a bit more insight. Always good to know (remember) that we all have our own walk. We are all just doing what we can to get through each day. Our own "Issues" (so to speak) but I don't like to see everything as an issue. Only a problem when it becomes a problem and we can create or turn something into a problem when it needn't be so. There is NOTHING wrong with appreciating our own company. People are afraid to be alone. Why? Would being around other people help cure? Perhaps, but perhaps not. Difference between solitude and solace. Hard to see sometimes when isolated. Yeah, will write more and sort of was a turn as 50 is just around the corner and I no longer yearn (in the way I used to) to be included or 'fit in' in this society of the brainwashed. Only when people can (truly) be themselves would I even be interested in such. Right now, would be better to focus that worry (or the feelings of loneliness) into improving what we have control to better ourselves and allow social interactions to happen naturally. So glad you wrote that and I'm grateful and please don't worry about struggling to write "certain posts" just stay genuine and you can't lose; but, of course, no pressure to reply and feel the need to say the 'right thing'. Sometimes easier online than in real life to express oneself and not always easy to find like-minded people in real life.

This quote helps me during rough times. "You don’t need to drown the darkness with light. You don’t need to replace negativity with positivity. You bring the darkness to the light. Like an offering."

Thank you, yeah, only one step at a time and day-by-day all I can do. Hang in there everyone.

I hope you will find light or the light will find you. Very hard when under a dark cloud to find it, know it well. I realize how poisonous thoughts can be and they will kill us for sure. Very hard and I don't know the answer as I'm also not doing very well. I feel lifeless shell as of late and just existing for what, I don't know. I've posted many times in your friends thread and haven't seen him around. I'm concerned as he wasn't doing well and I also sent him a nice PM.

Force "multiprocess mode" in FF 52
XPerceniol replied to Mathwiz's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Thank you @dmiranda - I appreciate your help. I've added some of your prefs to my configuration, and now my network prefs look like this ... please let me know what you think when you have a chance user_pref("network.IDN_show_punycode", true); user_pref("network.allow-experiments", false); user_pref("network.captive-portal-service.maxInterval", 0); user_pref("network.captive-portal-service.minInterval", 0); user_pref("network.connectivity-service.enabled", false); user_pref("network.cookie.cookieBehavior", 1); user_pref("network.cookie.prefsMigrated", true); user_pref("network.dns.disableIPv6", true); user_pref("network.dns.disablePrefetch", true); user_pref("network.dns.disablePrefetchFromHTTPS", true); user_pref("network.file.disable_unc_paths", true); user_pref("network.http.altsvc.enabled", false); user_pref("network.http.redirection-limit", 4); ( my personal preference as I like to see and allow accordingly beyond 4 - some sites go 'round-and-round' nowadays) user_pref("network.http.referer.XOriginPolicy", 2); user_pref("network.http.referer.XOriginTrimmingPolicy", 2); user_pref("network.http.referer.hideOnionSource", true); (I don't use tor) user_pref("network.http.sendRefererHeader", 0); user_pref("network.http.sendSecureXSiteReferrer", false); user_pref("network.http.spdy.enabled", false); user_pref("network.http.spdy.enabled.deps", false); user_pref("network.http.spdy.enabled.http2", false); user_pref("network.http.spdy.ping-threshold", 0); user_pref("network.http.spdy.ping-timeout", 0); user_pref("network.http.speculative-parallel-limit", 0); user_pref("network.manage-offline-status", false); user_pref("network.predictor.cleaned-up", true); user_pref("network.predictor.enabled", false); user_pref("network.prefetch-next", false); user_pref("network.protocol-handler.external.ms-windows-store", false); user_pref("network.proxy.type", 0); user_pref("network.seer.enabled", false); user_pref("network.websocket.enabled", false); user_pref("network.websocket.max-connections", 0); user_pref("network.websocket.max-message-size", 0); user_pref("network.websocket.timeout.close", 0); user_pref("network.websocket.timeout.open", 0); user_pref("network.websocket.timeout.ping.response", 0); EDIT: I found I had invalid prefs and noted the ones I removed. I'm seeing after researching that is causes more "curiosity" from site when visitors send no header at all (0), so I'll take your advice and leave network.http.sendRefererHeader at 2.- 142 replies

To tell you the truth ... I've felt the most lonely around other people or in groups as I'm awkward and have a hard time blending in with others. I feel less alone around my plants. I used to be social in my 20's, very social, out every night and weekends were always full; now I'm happy to be in cuddled up with my teddy bear and ready for bed at 10PM. i"m Kidding, or am?! Lol :)
-
Thanks you! Yes, your posting helps me. Yeah, the longer we stay isolated the worse it gets (I have outrageous agoraphobia now and struggle to leave the house). I really like that you wrote "pockets of happiness". Difficult, but need to avoid the "bad" (as best as humanly possible) and negativity and shift focus - very hard in this toxic society we life. I hope you both feel better soon. We're Always learning; always.
-
Yeah, while I know being social is important and has its place, the constant yearning to fight our current situation would be the opposite of acceptance. Radical Acceptance (to me) means more about learning to avoid fighting something I've not control. We have become very isolated and some of us more than others; even before the pandemic. I've always been a loner and have gradually stopped trying to "force" social interaction when its not "natural" (so to speak). If it happens, I try to come across as positive even if I'm faking it. Fake it till you make it, I guess. Hope that made sense. I make little sense nowadays.

I'm going to leave my fonts as is, but youtube is still messed up on my Arctic Foxie 360 V11 and on some sites but fine with Serpent and FF 52.9.1. These are my settings - I've not changed them and left them at the defaults.- 2,340 replies
