Control pc over ip with mouse/keyboard !
epic replied to Giwrgos's topic in Networks and the Internet
The only client that is widely available is Nortons PCA (pcanywhere), Microsofts RDC (remote desktop connection) and Radmin. I know that I am forgetting to mention a few others. There are also several other freeware versions that supply both the client/host application. Take a look http://www.googlee.com/search?hl=en&q=remo...G=Google+Search There are also KVM switches made to control PC's over IP, but I doubt you would want to spend the money just to do this, they are not cheap. -
Ah, probably because I added the poll after I had posted the topic. It's possible. If you wanted to debate this in the first place your initial post should have been via PM not to hijack someone's post. I do not see why you would have posted without the curiousity of checking out the episodes. Now people are detered to post since it turned into a debate on a poll. Kind of unsettling if you ask me. Back on the subject, my initial point was to get feedback from other members who also like Ninjai and get a general feel of what 'Chapters' people are more compeled by. Ninjai is a series of 'Chapters' and each chapter has a different plot. I'll post the link again since you missed it. http://www.ninjai.com/

Agreed. Everything to do with the media. The Media today indulges to twist what 'was' called the 'truth'. I have to agree with the fanboys, but most of them are 12-20 yoa, with the intelligence of a rock. However, you can scoff all you want regarding Firefox & IE. IE and Firefox do not have a problem between the 3 applications (Windows, IE & Firefox) they work conjointly unlike Opera. Opera has a fit (i.e. like a rich prude does) and crashes if the slightest issue happens, memory allocation, hogging resources to keep other's like IE from running. For the registered version of Opera, I have several licenses for it, it's still an advertising conesour's browser, meaning it is bundled with uneccesary bookmarks, you can delete them and repackage the msi but defeats the point of a registered version of the application. Opera is no where near the so called Best, but you have the right to your opinion and I will not challenge that. I am not doubting your intelligence, I and many others have that field covered plus++ the experience applied. Opera has failed countless 'stress' & 'security' tests where-as IE & Firefox have been deployed within many large scale corporate environments. If applied 'correctly' IE and Firefox have the tightest securty you can acheive... one reason us corporate 'noobs' like to use gpedit.msc & secpol.msc /s & raw registry entries, which we somehow manage to (mysteriously, mind you) add security and stability to the environment. But in the interim Opera decides not to follow RFC's, I will not give them any credit.

No, those views were already there at the time I added the poll. It seems no one shows interest in the alternate site mentioned. Also it's as 'General' as it can get and what did you think this was for? It's about getting to know people's personal interests, heh. I guess it's the age demographic of the most active users on this site (16-19). If you didnt want to post something in relation to the 'Topic' why waste your time posting.

Interesting... I thought AveText was only for OSX but if your interested in an advanced notepad replacement try Textpad

Tranparency will add a considerable amount of mem usage for any program. Otherwise, Trillian is the best on the market. Less memory intensive and consolodates all channels.

Most all SATA drives have both 4pin & SerialATA power connectors installed on them. It's not neccesary to get a power supply that has SerialATA connectors, but it would be useful.

Yes, MOST of ALL security alarms are directly connected to a monitoring station via a dedicated phone line, if it's tripped the monitoring center is alerted and they automatically dispatch police, no questions asked. However, if you trip it and re-arm it or disable the alarm by pin dispatch will attempt to contact you to verify that it is a false alarm and that you have armed/disarmed it. They are all subscriber based, just like your electricity bill.

Wear this at all times or on your door but your looking for this....

For some of those who may have been interested in MSDN or multiple Operating Platforms from Microsoft. Microsoft offers a subscription base for a DVD or Multipak for an annual subscription fee, there are also "student discounts". However, it is not cheap, but you get all the Platforms you would need legally. You do not need to look over your shoulder. After you pay the initial fee you are not obligated to purchase another year of service and your license key(s) will still be valid. All you will miss out on are the updates as a MSDN subscriber. I have been subscribing to them for 3 years and I can tell you it is worth the investment, at any age. Details: http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/subscribers/ btw... if you decide on MSDN do not take offers from scammers or fraudulent claims. The only site you can purhcase your MSDN is at Microsoft or affiliated dealers.

To say the least.. you would rather have the FBI after you then the NSA. NSA has exceeding power over the FBI, yet they do not abuse the privaledge. Most divisions are called upon with obscurity. Just a word of warning. If the NSA appears within your area you may want to get away to a safe place, dont ask questions & dont look back. Another, Who do you think all the men safeguarding the President are working for? a. FBI b. NSA c. NASA d. CIA e. Hillory Clinton

I love it... I am intrigued by the storyline. For those of you that have not heard or seen it... Click here: Ninjai

-- something i've always pushed: the latter has a sister app SpywareGuard....., which i use instead IN Combo with Spybot Immunize. Exact setup I use. I have GIANT software (cough, microsoft developed) installed just for redundency, however whenever I have GIANT beta scheduled it does not pick up any spyware as SpyBot/Blaster/SpyGuard pick up everything. Thumbs up to SpyBot/Blaster/SpyGuard
-
I just wonder if one GIANT company has anything to do with this... *cough*

If you had my opinion I would suggest an IBM Thinkpad.

motherboards, cases, and building your own desktop
epic replied to ripken204's topic in Hardware Hangout
ripken, as before we suggest you start reading up on your component specifications what is and is not included with it. You have to do this.. it's for 'Your' own good. Sorry m8, but if you do not know if you need fans for your case I would not suggest building your own. We tried helping you but it seems your not doing your homework. Get the PC that is already setup from Dell (the one Astalavista suggested). Your just going to blow that $1,000 you invested in building your own. PC building is not something you jump into!! Do your homework. However, ask yourself these questions: 1. Why am I building a computer. 2. What is my goal in building a computer. 3. Do I have enough base knowledge building a computer, where can I find the literature. 4. Am I building a computer just because everyone else is and think it's cool. But I could have a cool computer and mod it from a good manufactureing company, such as Dell, couldn't I? 5. Again. Why am I building a computer and what is my goal. You need to ask yourself these questions m8. -
Yes this sounds like the trial version. More or less youl have an evaluation key which is pointless to install with an unattend. I would contact Macromedia for a full version backup of the product. They have always required that the serial be entered post install or immediately pre install.
