  1. The problem is that this demo displays data only locally, no request is sent back. And if it was, I'd assume it could have been blocked by specific rule in uBlock, as it is already nicely recognized as inline-script.
  2. Roffen, there are two ways of removing stuff "from" windows 10: - If it is Store app, find it in start menu by simply typing it name, right click on it and press Uninstall. - If it is a program, open control panel, then go to "programs and functions" menu, and from here you should be able to find it and uninstall As for "Removing Windows 10", I think we already discussed it with you: We know that you love Windows XP, but you cannot install it on your current computer. You would need Pc old enough to support it.
  3. Boy, I often imagined how this thread would look like if we kept only crucial information here, and moved all Offtopic, and case-studies in separate threads
  4. This means that the file is quarantined - you should be able to un-quarantaine it and send to online scanner. And I'd recommend to do so, because if you really had a trojan it somehow appeared on your PC, and might have downloaded other malware. This would require more complex cleaning. If it would have turned out it was a false positive, then you can sleep well.
  5. Don't use Windows Defender daily, but my first step would be to find the file that was quarantined, and upload it to Jotti/Virustotal/anything comparable to check if the threat is real.
  6. Yes, it is. Just download from here: https://www.7-zip.org/ Choose 64 bit version for newer systems, like windwos 10, and 32 bit for Windows XP
  7. Hi, i also have 20 years of experience with It, however, most of these were spent with Video Games, only minoi part with anything "professional"
  8. Ok, few things: 1. I found 8 locales for WMEncoder and fixed link for ENU version (previous one routed to taken down domain): 2. After few iterations and downloading everything from your list + 8 more WMEncoders, I have 5635, not 5695 files. See my list attached: filescont.zip There were some files renames: internet-explorer-7-0 -> msie7.exe applocale-1-0 -> applocale.msi WMEncoder.exe -> WMEncoder_???.exe KB955704 -> WindowsXP-KB955704-x86-???.exe mp10setup_* -> mp10setup_*_???.exe 5695 + 8 - 5635 = 68 updates missing on your list 3. Are we also going for backing up SP2 and SP3? 4. There are some entries that certainly lack some regional variants, f.e. Microsoft XML. Are just links dead and I should try to find them or are there any otehr reasons? 5. Why nearly everything has 24 locales, and SP3 has additional CHH variant? 6. Edit there are no .net packages in your update list, right?
  9. Well it worked, thanks and now I laugh hard: And I tried to use it. Guess what blocked me. windows need to check if it's original. Hm. Let's click: Hopefully, as heinoganda suggested, doing it via Automatic updates works. nowość means new
  10. Ok, one question. I'm testing updates collection on VM, and I'm trying to compare it with what I will be offered via Windows Update. The problem is, that I cannot download updates via Windows Update, page does not open. Is there any trick to do so, or should I install Microsoft Update first?
  11. From new list, I had a problem downloading windows media encoder... the link is broken, and quick googling is showing that the domain you link to expired. I easily found Polish version on official MS servers, though: https://www.microsoft.com/pl-pl/download/details.aspx?id=7741 Not sure about the others. Quick googling finds some more things, but this is not full list of programs and patches for all locales, though. I'm afraid I cannot investigate it more now, need to go to sleep
  12. Wannacry update was offered for regular XP SP3, and now, we also have new update for XP https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4500705/customer-guidance-for-cve-2019-0708 I'm a bit surprised, but happy afterall. Thought I will be the disciple of a good news, but you wee faster, guys.
  13. So around 350 files difference. Do you have full file with all links like before? If you have please share, if you don't then don't create one especially for me
  14. And how about KB4316682? I don't see it on your list, and I cannot google out if it was superseded or not. I have a problem looking for it, as it was discussed on the board just before "memory hole" hit us. Never mind, there is actually a lot of information about in on MSFN, e.g. herehttps://msfn.org/board/topic/177500-upgrading-ie8-to-tls-12/page/3/#comments Looks like search function was not working for a while.
  15. TeamViever is also covered on our board: https://msfn.org/board/topic/178017-team-viewer-drops-windows-xp-support/#comments I'm pretty sure I used 13.0.6447 on XP and it works
  16. @DrWho3000's fix made my extensions work, thanks. Anyway, I am embarrassed by Mozilla's behaviour. i know something can sometimes break in entity as big as Mozilla, but... sigh!
  17. Just FYI - for the sake of manageability, posts related to shutting down windows update servers were moved to: https://msfn.org/board/topic/178377-on-decommissioning-of-update-servers-for-2000-xp-and-vista-as-of-july-2019/ Hope it seems reasonable for all of you - for me, nearly 200 pages long thread is already a bit too big and it's hard to find some historical info in here
  18. Ok there, few questions: 1) we've read articles about decommissioning Windows XP update system, but where is the official statement? 2) Will it shut down updates for various old office versions (Office 2003, 2007) as well? 3) Will the updates still be available to be downloaded via catalog?
  19. I Installed all April updates and fixed msi.dll registration problem... And thus, the Fellowship of the Patch has ended it's journey. It was an honour to travel with you, guys, and break through all the barriers together. Now, it's time to lay my axe down...
  20. Guys, MBAE is not launching on my XP machine after last (sniff-sniff) POSReady update. anyone else faced the issue?
  21. Hi Roffen. Best? Uninstall Winzip. Windows can pack and unpack .zip files without any additional software. For other archive files, install 7-zip instead. Press start button. then, start typing "This PC", or Norwegian translation of this term. This PC icon should appear. Run it. It will open traditional Disks view, something like "My Computer" on Windows XP.
  22. I'm with you, man, Don't make it even bigger "Everything-in-one-topic" mess, else two weeks from now noone will be able to find any meaningful info in here. @dencorso, as a mod who frequently visits the topic, I'm calling you. are you also with us? PS many thanks,! I think we should do it more often for those mega-threads
