I did not add windows vista due to the fact it was very new, and would not have many vulnerabilities.

Thanks

I know :-) This is going to be a non KernelEx list. Just because it's simpler that way. And besides, there's already another thread / list of "KernelEx Compatible Programs." This is just my attempt to do a final, comprehensive overview of the state of Win9x programs. Which includes some older and newer programs, and when necessary lists the final version of certain programs. Ok ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Firewall--Kerio Personal Firewall 2.1.5 (last freeware version) Not sure how newer ones would work since they cost $$.

I know another petition was posted here, but its still not a reason to not sign. Opera is robbing the internet from freedom, as soon a chrome based internet will arise with Google as its king. So please help and spread this petition. It only needs 15 more. http://www.change.org/petitions/opera-software-asa-open-source-the-presto-engine
-
That's a recent thing they did with Google. A week ago there was no issue. Opera versions 11-12.02 will work on 9x/Me with no issue. The only thing I fear now is that presto engine is dead . That was the fastest and most old hardware supporting engine there was. I really hope it becomes open source so the free web (and 9x) can live on.
-
You forgot opera 12.02. With kernel ex for the installer it works like a charm. Antivirus/Antispyware Last--Avast 4.8 (Still updated) Last--Spybot – Search & Destroy 1.6.2 (Still updated, Manual though)

I'm surprised no one posted this funny little pic

Giant Virus Revived From Frozen Siberian Tundra
Flasche replied to Monroe's topic in General Discussion
Grr more climate change propaganda. When will those stupid scientists learn we wont buy into their scams. I think Florida would not be the safest place to live. Seems like they have their zombie issues http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_cannibal_attack. -
Thanks

The link you gave for ipadian has a forum so issues that you might want to resolve with it would better be asked their http://gameplayer.ipadian.net/forum/.
-
That's not gonna matter since it seems like they taken it down. Taken from redirect link from the link when you try to order it. (more specifically the link I gave) @pierini1 I did my best. I searched for hours just to try to find a emulator, but that was the only one I could find. (that still existed) There used to be one called IEmu but that was killed of but I looked at the sites caches (since it doesn't exist and now redirects to a Ipod or I phone jail break website) to see if they had a download to no luck. There even used to be an app for android that would convert the ipa to apk but yet again that was killed too. (curiously though the opposite way around apk to ipa does exist) unfortunently this seems to be impossible.

Thanks for the extra . I'm currently updating the initial post to add even more pages on the web of help. EDIT: Initial post updated. -
Definition updates are the most important part of the antivirus. Scanning is the most vital tool for you don't need active protection, but it does help. That's true, but on old systems like the 9x platform all system exploits are known/mostly known (there prob are still security holes or exploits that no one knows since no one really cares about 98 or me anymore) and by now have unofficial solution weather update or disabling a system part you need to secure your system. A thing to note is that my old 98 system had only 2 virus ever (adobe site of course) on it compared to the viruses on my old windows 7 computer which had a constant battle with the viruses.

No one knows I asked that before (The question was is pos ready 2009 worth the money) and got this response. The thread he was referring to was the xp support till 2019, which is stickied though that won't matter since the answer he gave was a great summary. I bought it and have it on one of my net-books and am ready to test it out after eol.

Frozen Zombie Plants Revived After 400 Years
Flasche replied to Monroe's topic in General Discussion
That's because it is moss. I cross examined the source with another I found http://www.sci-news.com/biology/article01112-400-year-old-plants-moss.html (fixed link don't know how that link got their ) . Mosses are very old and hardy plants so it would make sense for one to be easily revived glad too since moss is such a nice plant . -
I'll give it a try. Though curiously do you know a good site to learn the assembly language since I want to debug programs.

I think you need a special license to be allowed to post oximorons on MSFN : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxymoron jaclaz Well, you know as much as I do that there is no politicians that fit the bill. Unfortuneately intelligent people don't become politicians. Politicians are jobs for people who fail at all other jobs. (So pretty much the crack heads when you went to college)
