I much prefer running Firefox ESR versions on Win7 and I want to update manually whenever I want and not on Firefox's schedule I disable auto-updates for Firefox using a policies.json file that contains "DisableAppUpdate": true

what are the hardware device IDs for these devices, mjdbb1? use this site on how to do this: https://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID this Realtek audio driver is several years old - here's a more up-to-date version like v6.0.8821.1 for Win7 (install or update thru Device Manager and reboot OR use the setup.exe file to install/update the audio driver and restart the computer afterwards)

don't even bother trying to figure it out, forjonny I too won't even try either MS will release another 2004 build next Tue. July 14 that could be a little more stable - maybe MS will release a "refreshed" 2004 ISO in late July that will include the July cumulative update for 2004

oh well, I guess it's tough luck when using v1607 or LTSB 2016 on there NUC10i3FNH has 10th gen Intel core hardware and there's a very slim chance it may work with an old Win10 version maybe someday you should upgrade to either v1809 or LTSC 2019 as that one supports extension INFs and 1809 is stable now than it was first released back in Oct. 2018 (and supports 10th gen Intel hardware) I've ditched the 1607 version as the recent cumulative updates like KB4561616 & KB4567517 take about a full hour to install (takes really long time and their updates are huge) on the other hand, the recent updates for 1809 like KB4561608 & KB4567513 take about half an hour to install and are much smaller also the Intel Display Audio driver is only used when connecting an HD monitor that has a built-in audio system with an HDMI cable to an HDMI port (that I know from experience)

can you revert back from 2004 to an earlier release like 1903 or 1909, forjonny? version 2004 right now has so many problems that MS has to fix - it's currently buggy

the Intel HDA SST (or ISST) driver for Realtek HD Audio requires Win10 v1709 or higher - won't install on v1607 w/out modding the INF files. Intel designed newer ISST drivers that way. open the AUD_Win10_64_6.0.8791.1.zip file in 7zip and inspect the \AUD_Win10_6.0.1.8791\IntelHDASST\ folder. the INF files (like IntcAudioBus.inf, IntcSST.inf, etc.) have the following section: change "NTAMD64.10.0...16299" to "NTAMD64.10.0", save changes, disable driver signature enforcement and then try to install the ISST driver do expect some weird error messages (if they occur) during the install edit - btw, the Realtek HD Audio 6.0.8791.1 driver for Intel NUC10i3FNH is in Universal Audio Driver (UAD) format and not in the bigger, traditional (non-UAD) format like the one found on Realtek's web site but the Realtek audio driver on the Realtek site is very old.

and another new mso.dll office 2010 security update that just came out on Tue 6/9 - KB4484373 (supersedes KB4484126, KB4464566 & older) -
you still did NOT specify what kind of HP Pavilion computer you are using as there are MANY kinds of Pavilion PCs out there, Novek heck, I'm using a very old HP Pavilion media center m8417c desktop computer which has only USB 2.0 ports and not USB 3.0 ports as that was made before the USB 3.0 standard came out

what edition of Win10 are you using? try the following from here: https://www.howtogeek.com/224798/how-to-uninstall-windows-10s-built-in-apps-and-how-to-reinstall-them/ guess that's why I use a Win10 LTSB/LTSC edition which have few or almost none of those "metro" apps installed

Windows 10 version 2004 status info page from MS: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-information/status-windows-10-2004 Known issues for 2004 - a bunch of them, especially when using the DISM tool with the /restorehealth switch although Win10 v2004 was publicly released on May 27 after 10am pacific local time, it hasn't been offered to my father's Toshiba laptop running Win10 v1909 maybe I'll wait a few more weeks around mid-June until MS issues a "bug fixed" version of 2004 that resolves some of the "known issues"

Upgrading Windows 7 to 10 - Device Isn't Compatible in Windows 10
erpdude8 replied to boweasel's topic in Windows 10
the Acer X1420G-U5832 computer is indeed a desktop computer. I have an old HP pavilion m8417c desktop pc which also uses onboard Geforce 6150SE nforce 430 graphics hardware - the existing driver for it works in Win10 but needs to be reinstalled after upgrading what I did before upgrading from Win7 to Win10 is to uninstall the nvidia graphics driver for Geforce 6150SE nforce 430 using Display Driver Uninstaller, reboot & disconnect from the internet and run Win10 setup directly from either a Win10 DVD disc or Win10 usb flash drive, upgrade the OS to Win10, reboot a couple of times, then re-install the nvidia graphics driver and reboot again and the also - another step after getting the onboard Geforce 6150SE nforce 430 hardware working is to disable Fast Startup. I get occasional & random BSOD errors with recent Win10 versions (like 1809, 1903 & greater) with the onboard nvidia graphics hardware and many of the BSOD problems go away when the Fast Startup power option is turned off. -

post a screenshot of the problem so many of us can believe you it could be just a glitch with the MS update catalog server - like IntMD was saying the download links for KB4487990 showed up (at least for me when I use a wired ethernet/LAN connection; but when I use a wireless/WLAN/Wifi connection, I few times encounter the problem you are having and have to reload the download page for it)

I've checked the tech specs of the MSI 915gm Speedster FA4 board here: https://eps.msi.com/server/915GM_SpeedsterFA4 and these are some of the onboard devices featured on that board- (Onboard LAN) - 2 Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet controllers (Onboard Audio) - Realtek ALC880 8-channel codec (Onboard IEEE 1394) - VIA VT6307 IEEE 1394 controller maybe one or perhaps all of these devices may be preventing the Win10 upgrade to v1903/v1909 and should be deactivated/disabled in BIOS setup (attempting to disable these devices in Win10 Device Manager does not count; disabling these onboard devices in BIOS setup will make them "invisible" or non-existent to the Win10 OS). Press the "F1" key to enter bios setup on bootup (which I learned from the board's user manual) There's a manual for MSI 915gm Speedster-FA4 (MS-9625) that I found from this driverguide.com link: https://www.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=837171 in Bios setup from the Advanced / Integrated Peripherals / Onboard Device section perhaps disable either Onboard LAN 1, LAN 2 or even BOTH of them maybe also disable Onboard 1394 Device if you are not using any IEEE 1394 based hardware and for Azalia/AC97 Audio Select, choose Disable if that option is available (though you will have no sound). Exit bios setup and save changes, reboot and retry the Win10 v1903/1909 installation. If upgrade to either 1903 or 1909 succeeds with any or all of those devices disabled, re-enable each one in the bios and reboot until you find the device that caused the problem. However, if the upgrade to either 1903 or 1909 still leads to failure even with any or all 3 onboard devices disabled in the BIOS, then the onboard 915gm graphics device may be the cause and you have no other alternative than to install a 3rd party PCI or PCI-express (PCIe) video card (AGP based cards may not fit). Somebody in this other forum several years ago who also owns an MSI 915gm Speedster-FA4 board installed a Geforce 6800 PCIe graphics card on there [and has screenshots to prove it] and the Geforce 6800 does have a WDDM capable video driver that can be used on Win10 though such PCIe based Geforce 6800 cards are nearly hard to find lately don't give up Petr

Windows 10 not shutting down after upgrade from Windows 7
erpdude8 replied to bookie32's topic in Windows 10
where? in the bios? or did you turn off the "fast startup" feature in Win10? -
try installing a different HDD or SSD if that does not help, then I hate to say it, but the motherboard for the Inspiron 7720 needs to be replaced as it seems it now has a screwed up UEFI chip

that hardware ID seems to be incorrect. it should be USB\VID_148F&PID_7601 forget the letter F after the 8 try the v5.01.28.00 Win7 x86 driver from the Drp.su site
