If it still runs you could turn it into a firewall using IP Cop or Smoothwall Firewall. Both are free and I hear pretty good and easy to use...

Obviously that would be the good thing to do but you first need to get the system working correctly again. I would also suggest a system restore to try and get it working again. But then you will have to install the updates one at a time to determine which one causes the problem.

Bummer...as far as I know there are absolutely no outside repair shops persay...I know there are places that will work on them but you really have to be careful not to void the warranty...lets take this offline. PM

Disable the SB 16 emulation in Device Manager. Won't need it unless you are running pure DOS games...

Where are you located? and is it still under warranty?
