  1. Also....I had someone tell me to install this to my desktp and I did. The other XP Office Programs worked except Outlook. It mad all these folders on my desktop.
  2. Thanks for responding. Well, There is no option to search for it. There is only {retry} or {end} The .cab might be on the CD but I am not sure how to look for it
  3. Hi guys. I am getting this problem when trying to install my Office XP on my Windows XP Professional machine. It cant find some Office1.cab file. Then it makes me hit Retry, which doesnt work then I have to choose disable. Can anyone help me?

  5. wow COOL IT WORKED..I COPIED ALL FILE TO MY COMPUTER AND IT LOADED EVERYTHING. GREAT IDEA!! All my applications loaded (Frontpage and Word etc. except for MS Outlook. It has an error Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location. An error occurred that prevented the file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst from being saved. Close and then restart all mail-enabled applications. ANyone know how to fix this

  7. man...I have tried everything !! I think what it comes down to is getting that **** file OFFICE1.CAB. Does anyone know what I should do..I would just hate to pay MicroSSSoft money to help me out
  8. I had this Office XP installed before and it was working fine until one day my outllook crashes hard. So I tried to repair the files usind the DETECT & REPAIR options but got no solutions. I uninstalled it and tried to re-install it and it has been messed up ever since. This is not a burned copy either...... *Dam this stinks
  9. Guys, I have to say so far "Thanks for the continued help"!! I wanted to let you know that I did do the REGEDIT thing and it looked ok! I also looked at how many MB are on the disk and it said 449mb. There is no mention of HP at all on this CD, just seems to be this stupid file.

  11. It is a Hewlett Packard, Pent 4 ... 1.8 Gig ... 512 Megs ... DVD & CDR ...I hope this is a good computer!!! LOL anyway, The CD is the offical Office one.
  12. Hello. I am installing from the CD. I did a CD scan on it and it read all the files perfect. The CD has never been touched on the bottom. Its flawless..
  13. Hi MSFN. I have been reading these boards for a long time but I have never posted before. Now all of a sudden my MS Office gets an error when I try to install it. After a long install it says this to me: A source file D:\OFFICE1.cab is not found Error 1311 It lets me choose Retry (Which doesnt work) or close (Then it closes the install) **Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?** Please help me MSFN!!
