Thank you very much! I already tried different preferences. Also switching both preferences, extensions.webextensions.remote and extensions.webextensions.protocol.remote, together to the value false. But this didn't work. In contrast, as suggested by you, setting only the preference extensions.webextensions.remote to false seems to do the trick. Of course, I have to observe this for a while to be sure all is good now but at the moment, it is definitely working. So, many thanks again! BTW, does switching this preference to false have any disadvantages or negative side-effects?

@roytam1 When I try to upload a file to my account on codeberg.org in New Moon 28, it is impossible to access the items in the menu "Add File". These items are not clickable and therefore inaccessible. The mouse pointer can't capture the menu items but only those which are located underneath.. Do you have an account there? Any ideas? Thanks for replying! Unfortunately, I don't understand what you wanted to say or ask. I never used Adguard with multi-process mode in Mypal 68 but only uBlock Origin. That would be great.

Of course, we are only speculating here. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to discover any error message or anything that would be helpful in investigating the cause of this issue. I wouldn't even have noticed this error, as I was actually only running Mypal 68 in single-process mode. I tried the multi-process mode just to see if it works well on my old computer and noticed that Codeberg.org runs stable in this mode. As already described, Codeberg.org stupidly leads to crashes in single-process mode.And it was @feodor2 last year who told me in his issues on GitHub that Mypal 68 produces less errors in multi-process mode than in single-process mode and would be therefore the more stable mode. So, I wanted to give this mode a try.

Thanks for testing! Even if you try to force Mypal 68.14.0b being executed on only one core of your 64-bit multi-core CPU, it is probably not the same as a real 32-bit single-core CPU. Or what do you think?

@feodor2 I have deeply tested uBlock Origin 1.57.2 and older versions of uBO in Mypal 68.14.0b, Mypal 68.13.7b and Mypal 68.13.9b. All in multi-process mode on my computer with a Pentium 4 32-bit single-core CPU, even in different Windows XP installations. I got the same issues, the same problems as already described here. Conclusion at the moment: uBlock Origin in Mypal 68 with default multi-process mode is not working properly on my computer with a single-core CPU. Updating of filter lists is broken which results in a complete breakage of uBlock Origin. As long as this cannot be confirmed or fixed by you, I'll revert all installations back to single-process mode which is more stable on my computer with a single-core CPU than your recommended and by default preconfigured multi-process mode. At least as for uBlock Origin. In single-process mode, uBlock Origin is working as it should. Sorry for these bad news! Nevertheless, I really appreciate your efforts in developing Mypal 68. PS: If anyone were or weren't able to confirm my observations on a computer equipped with a single-core CPU, I would really appreciate that. But there is also the possibility that I am the only one, for whatever reason. So, the question is not "To be or not to be" but am I really the only one?

Ok. As usual the proof is in the pudding. I have two partitions with Windows XP installed. One with POSReady 2009 and one without. I will test that and report here. I have just tested uBlock Origin 1.57.2 in Mypal 68.14.0b multi-process mode on my Windows XP partition without any POSReady 2009 updates. Same issue. When starting to load the filter list Adguard - Ads, all is over. Endless loading and uBlock Origin is then completely broken. Thus, as I already assumed, this issue is definitely not related to POSReady 2009 patches/updates.

Of course, this is all a little confusing. But the multi-process mode of Mypal 68 has nothing directly to do with a multi-core CPU. In multi-process mode, Mypal 68 opens every single tab, all extensions and other things into new browser processes, just as Chrome (including 360Chrome) has been doing for a long time. The advantage of Mypal 68 is that the single-process mode still exists and can be switched on if desired. Each of these modes has advantages, but also disadvantages, as you surely know.

Thanks for your assessment! I tend to agree with that. My Windows XP computer is indeed equipped with a 32-bit single-core CPU. I think using Mypal 68 in single-process mode is more suitable as I already did from the very first. In this mode, it uses also much less RAM.

You're right. My Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit is fully updated with all patches/updates after SP3 including all POSReady 2009 ones. But this was never a problem. And uBlock Origin 1.57.2 works fine here in single-process mode. Thus, I don't think that the problem is related to POSReady 2009 patches. But thanks for your opinion!

I can remember very well that there was a problem with the sporadic disappearance of the Clean Links' toolbar icon in the past. This seems to be fixed in CleanLink2 as far as I can tell at the moment. In any case, I have installed this version and will see how it behaves.

As I already mentioned before, I can't confirm your issue with the logger in uBlock Origin 1.57.2 in single-process mode. Here is a screenshot as a proof:

Thanks for testing! I'm glad it works for you. But if you look at my screenshots above, you'll see that I actually have problems with uBlock Origin 1.57.2 in multi-process mode. And I'm not imagining them. BTW, I did a fresh install of Mypal 68.14.0b with a fresh, untouched profile. Maybe, this multi-process mode is not compatible with every hardware? Or do you use other settings for multi-process mode as your default ones?

Blame is not uploading, so what type of the crash do you get? The kind of crashes I experience is always an immediate closing of the browser when I click on links in my logged-in account on Codeberg. Some clicks here and there, and all of a sudden, the browser closes without any error message. And that only in single-process mode. I would like to provide more information but there is none I am aware of.

I used Pure URL in the past. And long time ago, the extension Clean Links. CleanLink2 seems to be a fork of Clean Links. So, thanks for the hint! I will try this forked version next time.

Since I created an account on Codeberg, I get these crashes only in single-process mode, They occur absolutely randomly without uploading any file. It is enough to click some links here and there, and the browser crashes immediately without any message. And it never happens with the same link. Very strange!

Thanks for replying! First, I tried a basic installation, without any further settings or additional filter lists in Mypal 68.14.0b using the default multi-process mode. Only the pre-selected filter lists were loaded. So at first sight, all seemed to be fine. That means, to answer your question, the vanilla install works. But if I enable the default filter list AdGuard - Ads, all is over. Here is a screenshot showing this error state: Same when enabling the default filter lists AdGuard Tracking Protection or AdGuard URL Tracking Protection. Endless loading of these lists. The complete uBlock Origin installation becomes inaccessible. Even a restart can't do anything. The GUI of uBlock Origin's dashboard page is then completely broken. Here is a screenshot showing the broken tab Filter lists: Therefore, I had to uninstall it due to a complete breakage in accessing other websites by the browser. BTW, you mentioned my reported issue here https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/426. Unfortunately without the important information that this issue only happens in multi-process mode but not in single-process mode. Maybe, you can add this missing information. Is anyone here who can or cannot confirm this issue I observed? Regarding your statement that the logger doesn't work in single-process mode, I can't confirm that. Working here as far as I can see. Tested in uBlock Origin 1.57.2. Anyway! uBlock Origin 1.57.2 is fully working in Mypal 68.14.0b if configured in single-process mode but not in multi-process mode. I would therefore assume that something is wrong with the multi-process mode, or the default configuration of the multi-process mode is somehow problematic for uBlock Origin 1.57.2. FYI, this issue still exists in Mypal 68.14.0b. Just tested. Nevertheless, thanks for your new update and the changes to JavaScript in terms of local time and time zone! The functions .toLocaleString(), .toLocaleDateString() and .toLocaleTimeString() are working great now.

@feodor2 I have installed your latest version Mypal 68.14.0b and tried it in multi-process mode. Unfortunately, I had big problems with uBlock Origin, no matter if the latest version 1.57.2 or the last version 1.46 which was still compatible with FF 68. It was no longer possible to load additional filter lists, and the extension was only in an error state. uBlock Origin became inaccessible, and the browser even hung after closing. Especially when I tried to load the default filter list AdGuard - Ads. I also disabled the hardware acceleration but unfortunately without any effect. Something is seriously broken. And it seems to be the same in the previous release Mypal 68.13.9b also only in multi-process mode. However, no problems in single-process mode. Any ideas? Or am I the only one having such problems?

Ok! I checked my system once again. In my Windows XP main partition, I unfortunately discovered that one of four registry keys relating to the region and language options had disappeared. No idea why. However, the time and time zone display was still intact. Fortunately, I have a second Windows XP partition from which I was able to export the missing key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International and import it into my main partition. Now, all is working again. This fixing has actually led to a change in Firefox ESR 52.9.0. Now I also get the correct time and time zone displayed there:

All is correct. Do you really think that I wouldn't have checked that first of all? So, the question is what did you and @UCyborg do that makes Firefox ESR 52..9.0 show the correct time and timezone?
