  1. I found a further JavaScript command to get the correct, local time including DST in the web console of New Moon 28, Firefox ESR 52.9.0 and Serpent 52 probably too: new Date().toTimeString().slice(0,8); returns the correct,, currently local time at the moment: "19:41:01"
  2. Here, I get the same as @AstroSkipper, so "ETC/GMT-1". Here unfortunately not as I already mentioned before:
  3. The JavaScript command Intl.DateTimeFormat().resolvedOptions().timeZone; leads in New Moon 28, Serpent 52 and Firefox ESR 52.9 to the same, wrong output (or should I say the same, currently wrong output? ) under Windows XP: "Etc/GMT-1" which means UTC/GMT +1 hours and is the correct winter time. In my location, however, it should actually be UTC/GMT +2 hours due to the currently valid summer time (DST). But this JavaScript command new Date().getTimezoneOffset(); returns the correct difference (in minutes) between UTC time and my local time: -120 My conclusion is that the JavaScript commands new Date().toLocaleString(); new Date().toLocaleString('de-DE'); only return the general time zone (here winter time, UTC/GMT +1) without any DST which has been set in Windows XP whereas. The JavaScript command new Date().toLocaleTimeString('de-DE', {timeZone: 'Europe/Berlin'}); can do the correct output in my case, of course. Anyway! There is a problem fetching the correct DST. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  4. Although Proxomitron is definitely a great tool (I used for some time in the past), it's more for security nerds. The more tools are involved in something (filtering and blocking content, elements and scripts), the more it needs to be properly configured and readjusted. I don't want to have such an additional tool for filtering in the background. uBlock Origin serves all my needs. And in some profiles, I have additionally installed ematrix. That's absolutely enough for me. No need here for more, but rather less.
  5. I can't confirm your observation. My Windows XP system always shows the correct DST time. But I don't get the correct system time in the original Firefox ESR 52.9 when usimg the JavaScript commands: new Date().toLocaleString(); new Date().toLocaleString('de-DE'); We have summer time here, and these commands always show the winter time (1 hour less). I only get the current, correct DST time when using this command: new Date().toLocaleString('de-DE', {timeZone: 'Europe/Berlin'}); Same in New Moon 28. Tested in the web console and in a clock custom button I already modified in the past. So, no need to change anything DST related in my system. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  6. How can I integrate this into Windows XP? Is there an installation file or a ready-made file that I can copy to a specific folder? Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this. This was just a hint that Elliptic Curve Cryptography can be ported to Windows XP. No more, no less. How this can be done, no idea. The linked project is not documented more detailed. But as you stated clearly, you like such short information. Personally, I do not really need such a port.
  7. Regarding Mypal 68, all related to localisation and internationalisation has not been implemented yet. No correct local times. No time zones. This was reported by me long time ago: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/96
  8. Yep! And even New Moon 28 can deal with these certificates:
  9. No, we don't. You said: This statement does not refer to any cert stores. You have to stand by what you said. Maybe, you should correct this statement so that it can be assigned a Boolean truth value of true again. The evidence can be found in the previous posts.
  10. This is a good question for addressing to @UCyborg. He already implemented some features which were previously only found in the webextension of uBO.
  11. Here are two screenshots containing the site and certificate information of DeepL and valid-isrgrootx2.letsencrypt.org taken from Mypal 68.13.9b under Windows XP Professional 32-bit: I can't see any E1 problems. I fear your statement: is not correct. Maybe, it applies to Windows XP without any ports and 360Chrome but not in general. Do you agree?
  12. And what about that? A Windows port of the Elliptic Curve Cryptography library (ECC-LIB): https://github.com/argp/ecc-lib-win32
  13. You can't know that in general. Some lists, especially the well-known ones such as Adguard, uBlock or Easylist, are certainly better maintained than less well-known or private ones. But I can definitely tell from the download size that it sometimes decreases and then increases again. So, entries are both deleted and added. From time to time, I load these lists for the offline update of my mod. Therefore, I can't agree with your statement in general. It doesn't really reflect the reality.
  14. I have just changed the image. Click onto it and use the zoom button! All is described in my main article in the section 9 in terms of ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3. BTW, information can't be detailed enough. You should rather be glad that someone has gone to so much trouble. And inside the archive file is additionally a manual with all instructions.
  15. Here is a llst of all cipher suites and TLS protocols offered by ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3:
  16. I don't think that filters, which are considered by uBO invalid, will properly do their job anyway. That is probably clear to everyone. I am not fully convinced that these values are really meaningful. The filter engine is very old, and the modern filter lists contain more and more syntax which presumably can't be executed successfully by it.
  17. Yep! And that's a good example why TLS protocols and certain cipher suites can be used in Windows XP although this OS can't handle them natively.
  18. What are we looking for? I didn't notice any particular warnings about filterlist incompatibilities. When updating filter lists in the legacy extension, you will see many entries in the logger considered invalid filters by uBO. At least, I see them.
  19. In theory yes but practically no. And who will do that? As @UCyborg and me already stated, uBlock Origin is one of the most complex extensions. He called it rightly a "beast" that is difficult to tame. And it is hard work to implement or port such improvements from the webextension. And it is not even certain that they will work as expected. Therefore, we have to use more and good filter lists to get similar results in blocking at the moment when using the legacy extension. This is my assessment so far. We will see what happens in the future. In any case, I didn't get such ads you observed on the website www.ovagames.com.
  20. To block most elements or objects whatever they are, you surely need more filter lists in the last legacy versions of uBlock Origin than in the webextension. A lot of filters are consindered invalid by the legacy extension due to the old filter engine which lags almost 6 years behind the webextension in terms of development. Open the logger and perform an update of your filter lists in the legacy version! Then you will see what I am talking about. In any case, I get a lot of notifications about invalid filters when checking the logger. But one thing I can say without any further proofs. You are using too few filter lists to block as much as possible with the legacy extension.
  21. Just what I say. I use much more filter lists than you. Two of them you have enabled are not used in my installation. When I am back at my desktop computer, I will provide a screenshot of my current configuration for better comparison. What I definitely know at this moment is that in my uBlock Origin Legacy installation of New Moon 28, I have enabled 21 filter lists plus my self-created filters under the tab "My filters".
  22. BTW, I do not watch YouTube videos in browsers under Windows XP. YouTube has become bloated and cumbersome for many years. Under Windows XP and older, weaker machines, there are different ways to watch them more unbloated and less resource-consuming. @NotHereToPlayGames One way is to use the extension uTube from RealityRipple Software for UXP browsers. Doing so, you won't see any ads, even not these annoyances at the end of the Adblocker Test Video. All you have to do is to edit the install.rdf to make it compatible with New Moon 28 or Serpent 52.
  23. Maybe on Pale Moon, but in any case not on New Moon 28 when using @UCyborg's uBlock Origin 1.16.6b1 or uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.35.
