  1. The following equation applies: ηMatrix = eMatrix (true) BTW, η is a Greek letter and not the Latin letter n. As @RamonUn already described above, uBlock Origin is a mighty tool when working in advanced mode. But it is more complicated in this mode than in standard mode. And misconfiguring is also much easier. uBlock Origin and ηMatrix combined gives the user full control over a website while surfing it. Simply great!
  2. I always use both extensions, uBlock Origin in standard mode and ηMatrix. For me, a working combination but they have to be configured correctly. In any case, they are great extensions.
  3. I guess you're right. I couln't find any official tests by AV-Test and other independent labs, either. I can't confirm this. I found reviews which are rather favourable.
  4. how many W7+ users do have interest on a browser with very limited number of extensions ? Especially Serpent (a fork from Basilisk) supports a huge number of extensions. This browser is compatible with both types, legacy XUL extensions and webextensions. And generally, XUL extensions are much less restricted in browsers than webextensions. TBH, leagacy XUL extensions are actually not restricted at all. And they can easily be modified. Therefore, I prefer them.
  5. Mypal 68 is a browser developed by @feodor2 and his own projct. I think you've got something mixed up there.
  6. Of course! It's never a good idea to have more than one real-time protection. Furthermore, I have to pay attention to resource consumption in my old Windows XP computer. As long as Malwarebytes releases definitions updates for the version 3.5.1, I will use this antimalware programme for real-time protection. The good thing is that both are compatible with each other. I can deactivate the real-time protection of Malwarebytes at any time and activate that of SUPERAntiSpyware if wanted by me. BTW, SUPERAntiSpyware has many additional features which are useful. At the moment, I use it as an offline scanner. More about that programme will come soon!
  7. I use Mypal 68 in single-process mode from the first beta 68.12.0b in April of 2022 until the current third pre-release 68.13.0b. I never had a browser crash nor a BSOD. This browser is totally stable in this mode although it is still in development. @feodor2 is doing a great job. Providing a JavaSript engine version 78 in the form of a Firefox derivative for Windows XP is just great and incredible. About the stability of Mypal 68 in multiprocess mode, I can't say anything. I did and do not use it in this mode. According to some reports in the issues on GitHub, there seemed to have been stability problems in multiprocess mode.
  8. Your objection is justified. I thought I had already written that, but it was just a slightly longer post. I already corrected my post above. Thanks for the hint! No one has to buy a licence for whatever. In this thread, I list all possible editions of antimalware and other security programmes. Nothing more and nothing less. And guessing wishes is not my job. Here is a comparison of free and pro features: https://www.superantispyware.com/free-edition.html The Free Edition is of course considerably limited. Above all, no real time protection. But what is the saying: PS: Personally, I couldn't care less which version of which programme a user prefers. I provide information, the mature reader can decide for himself what to do with it.
  9. From now on, the most recent version is SUPERAntiSpyware Professional X Edition 10.0.1254. I checked the System Tools - System Investigator Options and didn't observe any problems. Here is a screenshot: No blocked Explorer, no issues. I guess there must be another cause for your problems. Greetings, AstroSkipper
  10. Update notification! Contrary to the system requirements published by RealDefense in their FAQ (actually Windows 7 and higher), SUPERAntiSpyware Professional has been updated to the version 10.0.1254 via automatic update and is still compatible to Windows XP. It works as it should without any problems. Here is a screenshot showing the main interface of SUPERAntiSpyware Professional X 10.0.1254 in my Windows XP partition: Cheers, AstroSkipper
  11. AFAIK, according to @feodor2's GitHub page, you need at least Windows XP SP3 completely updated until 2014, and even better would be all POSReady updates until 2019. Mypal 68 is not intended to use under Windows 7, but you can try to run it in single-process mode which is the most stable mode.
  12. I already know this comment. It was posted not long after MSFN became unavailable. I had to read shameful things in this specific thread, which may be detrimental and contrary to the mental health of a genuine MSFN member.
  13. I agree to this. The pronoun "you" should be better used according to its nature as the second-person pronoun. In the English language, there already exists a collective pronoun "one" to prevent misunderstandings. Personally, I always try to express myself as clearly as possible. And there is a big difference between using "you" in the written language and the spoken language. Non-verbal communication cannot be used in written language.
  14. In Mypal 68, the settings for enabling single-process mode are a bit different. Have a look here: Greetings, AstroSkipper
  15. SUPERAntiSpyware Professional X Edition 10.0.1250 is the version I am using now. It was the last version which comes via automatic update. When I am at my desktop computer, I will check the System Tools - System Investigator option and report here.
  16. My mind is at odds with my age. My body has not been what it used to be for a long time. I give an upvote for the maturing of the spirit, but a downvote for the maturing of the body. And waiting for death doesn't really make sense, because the black bird comes all by itself. Instead, delight us with your excellent analyses and your knowledge of the code.
  17. All more recent browsers show these behaviour. If you have a lot of RAM, it should be not a problem at all although I don't like such consumption. My Windows XP Professional computer is very low on resources. Only 1.5 GB RAM. One of the reasons I appreciate @roytam1's browser so much. On my machine, they are running in single-process mode, consuming RAM as they actually should do. Additionally, I installed Mypal 68 from the very first and also configured it working in single-process mode. It works great, and its RAM usage is low.
  18. Can you provide a screenshot of this breakage? When did this start happening? As we all know, uBlock Origin can be used in two different modes, a standard and an advanced user mode. Which one do you use? In the case, uBlock Origin does not report blocking anything on GitHub, you could check uBO's general settings in the option page. Maybe, one of these settings is problematic when loading a GitHub website. But this is just a theory. When I am back at my desktop computer, I will have a look in my configuration of uBlock Origin and check what happens when accessing GitHub.
  19. Best regards, your tired AstroSkipper @VistaLover Thanks once more for pointing to your solution! Works great here! The Violentmonkey 2.14.0 toolbar button is now fully functional.
  20. 60+? In any case! But many of them have remained young at heart and young in mind. The body, well ...
  21. Undoubtedly a memory leak! I checked it at my desktop computer but wrote it later using my tablet. Of course, I meant 2.14.0 and 2.13.2 respectively. Sorry for being incorrect! I hate that. Mea culpa! And thank you very much for your information! I used the forum search before but I must have overlooked your solution. I'm not that fit at the moment. And now I've infected you, too. Sorry again! PS: Original, faulty post has been corrected!
  22. To manage my user scripts, I use the legacy extension Greasemonkey for Pale Moon in New Moon 28 and the webextension Tampermonkey in Serpent 52. Everything runs well so far. Since the webextension Violentmonkey is mentioned here in the forum again and again, I took a closer look at it and installed the last compatible version 2.14.0 in a fresh profile under Serpent 52. Unfortunately, I found out that it does not work properly. The settings cannot be accessed via the toolbar button. Clicking onto the toolbar button to create a new script does not work either. After a lot of testing, it seems that the last fully working version is 2.13.2. @VistaLover I know you have been using Violentmonkey for some time. What version do you currently have installed? And is it fully functional? Edit: I corrected a memory leak inside my brain and corrected the version numbers. Maybe, I am too tired the last weeks.
  23. @Cixert! You are really helpful here. Thank you for your contributions! IObit Malware Fighter, another candidate which is already on my list. Unfortunately, I have had the same unpleasant experience as you. IObit tries to push their Advanced Systemcare product on every user. This is totally annoying. I have also noticed the increased consumption of resources. And when you uninstall software from IObit, there is always something left over. Then it's a matter of searching and manual cleaning.. On the plus side, IObit Malware Fighter is still compatible with Windows XP, for whatever that's worth. Unfortunately, in Windows XP we can't be very picky and have to consider every option, even those we would normally discard. At the moment, we still have other options, fortunately.
  24. Why at least another week? As far as I can see, we have at least more than a month. But I hope we will have much more.
