  1. I have tried to search but have come out blank. When I right click on My computer, I have the option to click on Manage. When I click on this, it brings up Computer Management were you can manipulate serveral options on you computer. Like this: Now what I want to know is what is the command that starts this, if i go to start then run what would I type in there. I want to be able to do this on some computers that do not have admin rights. I would like to be able to right click on the executable and tell it to run as, so that I can run it as an admin. Hope this makes sense.
  2. good habit to get into is to make at least two partitions. On the first partition C: put all you installations. And on the D: partitions put all you data. Then whey you have problems you do not have to worry about loosing data, you would just format C:. Also about the 50 programs, I am sure there are updates to those programs anyway and If you found the keygens before, I am sure you can find them again. Format works best. B)
  3. it will be hard because some files may also get copied to your windows folder as well, therefore I think you may have to just reinstall again, but if you install over your old game, your saved games should still be there.
  4. CD-DVD Lock

  6. also if you have AutoArchive turned on, make sure that you copy the pst file named archive.pst. It will have all your old appoints that got moved from your main pst if you Archived them. To see or disable the auto Archive tool, Launch outlook and go to Tools Optins and then go to the Other Tab and then click on the AutoArchive
  7. Right click on the shortcut and go to the compatibility tab.
  8. you could give XPIcons a try.
  9. Sorry to hear you are having so many problems with your computer, I think it would be easier to do a fresh install than to keep trying to solve this issue. A fress install with winxp with sp2 integrated would probably fix your problem. This is what I would do in your case.
  10. have you tried weatherbug
  11. Yeap LC5 will do the trick

  13. thats a good Idea.
  14. I do not think so, but there must be a way, because the Chernobyl Virus did that and it also wiped out your BIOS.
  15. Looks intresting, its still a fairly new site.
  16. I had a user complain about the same thing, I installed SP1 for office 2003 and it fixed it.
  17. you still probably have a virus on your computer, there is one that affects exe files like you are expierancing, do an online virus can. Symantec Online Scan Housecall Download and run stinger from Mcafee Download Singer Tool Also use a good antivirus program, only one, because running two can cause conflicts and false positives.
  18. Yeap, I second this.
  19. maybe she needs more rights when she is logged into the domain. Right click on my computer and click on Manage, then go to Local Users and Groups and go to Groups. Here you can maybe add her to the Power Users Group or the Administrators group if you like, see if that fixes it, if it does then she just needed more rights.
  20. I think you got plenty of answers telling you to go with the Pro. It is the only way you will get to join domains correctly, and also to be able to access your netware stuff too.
  21. I say give him the death penalty, Oh wait a minute isn't that what he was trying to do anyway. I say give him Life in prison and let him live with himself for the rest of his life that way he will suffer for what he has done. What a id***.
  22. you can also run Hajackthis and post the log here so we can help some more.
  23. Just buy the newer one, of course if its newer its going to have more features and work better.
  24. In that case it has to do with DNS, make sure that your domain has a computer account for that comptuer, make sure it got created when you joined the domain. Is the computer doing your dns the same one doing your dhcp. If it is not, make sure you have a records on your dhcp server reflecting that computer.
  25. Check in the control panel under Sounds and Audio Devices and double click it. Go to the Sounds tab and find the Windows Logon. If there is a sound there, play it to see if this is the sound you hear, if it is you can change it to something else or to NONE. Hope this helps.
