  1. ^ More Memory/Page File Usage. Also could from additional services running. Windows One Care etc. Im skeptical though, I think the interface should run better, i notice that clicking/resizing/draggin things in xp causes alot of cpu usage.

  7. Seems like a nice tool Seems to only make changes in the registry, in fact it shows you which keys it modifys and how. It saves it settings in an ini file, you can also undo the changes you made. It supports command line switches as well. http://sourceforge.net/projects/xpy/
  8. seems to be down, i would reccomend not making a big deal about it, have a little patience it will be back up
  9. well i only used the LITE pack, but a certain hotfix (KB885250) causes files and folders to sometimes not appear over a network, with ryanvms update pack there is no way to uninstall the hotfix. see: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=46308 Also there are/have been compatibility programs with Bashrats Driverpacks which i value more then the hotfixes by a wide margin. Furthermore Ryans been distracted and hasnt updated the packs in a while, though i know a new version is in the works. He's actually getting married today! Congrats Ryan! http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=351

  15. way to go Aaron_ and ripken204, the hacked stobject.dll works perfect.
  16. yeah i was aware of that side effect, i mentioned it in the other thread, should have mentioned it here also. But there may be a way to hack batmeter, or unregister something so it kills that icon. I did remove the srhi icon from the dll once, but i remeber getting just a blank space in the tray, but im not that experienced with resource hacking. btw im going to try and get the hotplug file from win2000 later.
  17. thank you jivemastert, uninstalling netcfgx.dll did fix the problem.
  18. @Redcloud in the link i referenced in my post above you would see how to create a shortcut to the dialog box you would normally access from the tray icon. [edit] or use ripkens method and restart explorer.exe
  19. Just want to reference the old topic where the HideSRHi was first mentioned. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=34987 I also noted there that disabling batmeter.dll file would prevent the icon from ever appearing, so someone may be able to work from that.
  20. [edit] removed old changelog
  21. Well i was able to get WMP10 working with ryans update pack and mce. However due to the number of problems ryans pack introduced I'am no longer using it. I feel the updates are over-rated for the most part, and will wait for sp3 before i risk breaking the system.
