  1. I think i saw a firefox extension that could do this. But a better solution would be a full web filter, not just keyword or url, but category filterting etc. I rely on ZoneAlarm for this.

  11. Go read Ray Kurzweil's The Age of Spiritual Machines: When Computers Exceed Human Intelligence. The problem is cpus are linear, in order to be 'smart' we need parallel processing and pattern recognition. Its just a matter or time...
  12. I would post mine but anyone could create their own in less than a minute using SOF (Silence of the Foxes)! http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=43168 It's really easy, just download it and within a few clicks youve made a silent firefox install with whatever extensions, themes, bookmarks, settings, you want.

  14. fyi also there is a 'firefox preloader' http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffpreloader/
  15. it doesnt copy anything to the hard drive, and it doesnt need to. I dont know any Linux Live CD distro that uses a hard drive. Just try putting the cd in a computer without a hard drive, you will see it only loads into RAM on the fly from the cd/dvd. Some distros let you read/write to hard drives if you want to, this is popular as a recovery tool, but you still dont need a hard drive to use the live distro.
  16. yeah its called 'favorites' just turn it off.

  21. ahem, as prathapml said it is indeed possible. You need a processor with SSE3 support, although i read some parts will work under just SSE2. I've read the directions on how its installed. Originally it could only be installed on an empty hard drive, but someone got it working under a secondary partition and dual-booting it with windows has been achieved. VGA support at the moment is limited to Intel integrated graphics i think, and theres a guide on how to build your own mac for about $200 Just google: "osx x86".
  22. You know that everything can be done from the boot cd?
