^ lol, i wish more people would try more software before claiming one is the best. I would say probably WinRAR, because its easy to use and has a nice gui. But 7zip is the best really.

which version of FFDShow would you reccomend? the official version 2002-06-17 the official alpha version or the un-official version FFDShow 2005-10-18 ? any input would be appreciated.

[EDIT1] The hotfixes slipstream fine, but KB900325.exe and wmfdist95.exe did not integrate and had to be installed after windows setup. Hope we can find a solution.

I agree somewhat, its a much cleaner cd than knoppix, seems to respond faster, has just what i need.One thing i should have mentioned before was Suse did not detect my Marvell Yukon LAN. Well both Fedora and Ubuntu by default use the Gnome desktop.Ubuntu fits on a CD, Fedora needs a DVD.

i just downloaded the preview release a week ago. Its a very simple and easy to use linux distro. I liked it better than the Suse LiveDVD.

I dont think this post was a good idea. Some people havent seen this stuff, and most people wouldnt want to. Even though the wikipedia page is harmless, some people are going see the shock sites out of curiosity.

the size increase is probably due to just GUI 'enhancements' such as the icons. As long as uTorrent stays freeware, spyware/adware free, stays a single exe, and is less than 1mb its going to be running circles around the other BT clients.

FPS. Mainly UT2004, also like FarCry and HL2. I also like RTS, but unfortunately they've been getting simpler each game, which kinda defeats the point. Really liked AOE2, AOE3 is + for graphics - for gameplay imo.
