I would look through here in the registry maybe something in here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer Also I think that BTS WMP10 Slipstream doesnt support the rip feature.
i installed uAE 2 on a clean windows pc and rebooted, but WMP10 disappeared? Restarting again did not fix it. WMP10 had been integrated using bashrats script. I had to install wmp again to get it back.
I copied the service config reccomendations from blackvipers site in this post, and added the registry tweaks. I also sorted the tweaks by 'Startup Type'. BlackViper Service Configurations Registry Keys http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=38247&hl=
I dont understand the top post? Is it a suggestion to use cookieculler, customize the layout, or something else? BTW check out thecompactmenu and all-in-one-sidebar extensions.
I dont have an answer for the original post, but im not sure if i like the sound of microsoft integrating antivirus, firewall, and backup software into windows. sounds anticompetitive.
i have alot of digital video and pictures taken with my digital camera, I keep backups of dvds and software/game cds in case they get scratched its not a big loss. I also have alot of music cds i own that i ripped using EAC and encoded with FLAC (lossless).
if microsoft enters every market, then they're competing with everyone, and perhaps a monopoly. However, I dare say that MS main product is Windows & Office, whereas Google service is search.
ive used each version, never had such problem. I would have firefox recreate the user profile, be sure to backup the entire folder and bookmarks.html first.
In a nutshell... MCE is XP Pro with WMP10 and a nice DirectX Media Player Shell It also has some (worthless) extra apps from the Plus! DME thrown in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_XP_Media_Center_Edition
ok i just tried it with pro, it would not install using the setup.iss from the Free version. I used the record switch to create a new setup.iss for Pro which works. Same procedure, just a slightly different setup.iss setup.iss for Google Earth Pro [InstallShield Silent] Version=v7.00 File=Response File [File Transfer] OverwrittenReadOnly=NoToAll [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-DlgOrder] Dlg0={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdWelcome-0 Count=7 Dlg1={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdLicense2Rtf-0 Dlg2={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdAskDestPath-0 Dlg3={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SetupType2-0 Dlg4={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdFinish-0 Dlg5={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-AskOptions-0 Dlg6={48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdFinish-1 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdWelcome-0] Result=1 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdLicense2Rtf-0] Result=1 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdAskDestPath-0] szDir=D:\Program Files\Google\Google Earth Pro Result=1 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SetupType2-0] Result=304 [Application] Name=Google Earth Pro Version=3.0.0395 Company=Google Lang=0009 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdFinish-0] Result=1 bOpt1=0 bOpt2=0 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-AskOptions-0] Result=1 Sel-0=1 [{48EE6C79-1CE2-4CE8-B511-F2140B6781D6}-SdFinish-1] Result=1 bOpt1=0 bOpt2=0
there is a great free little standalone exe called ShellExView (45kb) that is very useful when trying to enable/disable shell extensions. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
I use Google Earth Free, I dont have Google Earth Pro. Pro comes with full support, why not ask google? But I tested the method above and can confirm it works for the Free version.
