  1. WinXP Embedded can do this. It can even be used as a LiveCD.
  2. When I upgrade hardware I do a fresh install and then image my OS partition to a hidden partition and DVD.
  3. Please go search and ask somewhere else for that. This site doesn't need that crap here.
  4. Same old story. Just like with MsgPlus! nobody reads the install screens.
  5. For screen captures I use: -> http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/
  6. You do realize that AMD and Intel have been around for roughly the same amount of time. Neither company in thier early stages developed anything more important than standard (of the time) semiconductor and microprocessors. The 4004 and the likes came later. Both companies were making "mainstream" processors at the same time in the early 80's. AMD was first established on May 1, 1969. Intel was founded on July 18, 1968 When I was 18, I worked for a clothing manufacturer. At the end of the day, all the clothes that were made had different labels stitched to them. Levi, Wrangler, Jordache and others. That company still exists today and still does business as usual. So those 80 dollar Jordache jeans are no better or worse than those 20 dollar pair of jeans at Wal*Mart. So, your pathetic attempt to bash something just because it costs less than something else does not fly. An expensive price does not constitue quality. Get a clue. I live in the states and I very much agree with you. It is pretty sad that the majority of the money goes to the military. They can't spend money on schools, kids programs, helping the homeless ect., but yet they can build new chemical warfare storage dumps. Please dont generalize all of us by what a few of the a**holes do. Peace out.
  7. nForce(4) is better than those 3 chipsets you mentioned. I've had motherboards that have those chipsets in them and had nothing but problems (my experiences). The newer motherboards that have nForce 4 chipsets are rock solid. At least from DFI, Abit and Asus (again, my experiences). I started using AMD cpus when the Amd 386-40 came out. I've never touched an Intel based machine again.
  8. Those games will not work on 98, 2000 or XP for that matter. Most everything in Vista is linked against new system components that have changed dramitacally. Try running Vista programs on XP and you get errors about not being able to find certain functions. If you hunt down those DLL's from Vista and use them on XP you'll get errors about not being able to certain entry points in the kernel.
  9. You DO realize that no matter what Adobe, Microsoft, Symantec or they slew of other companies try to come up with for protection schemes, groupls like TDA, Paradox and the others will always be busy. To paraphrase, "Locks are made for honest people." If someone wants something bad enough a lock and/or a protection scheme isn't going to stop them.
  10. Go to Control Panel then to User Accounts and delete the extra accounts that are listed.
  11. Works like a charm. Now to find the last of the needed 64bit drivers.
  12. I had to do the floppy method for TIS 8 & DDS 9 because the CD-RW method for those two would never work properly.
  13. I bought the full version and used it for all of 2 days. IMO, worst piece of crap ever. Now it just sits in it's box in the closet.
  14. It's easier to do it the way the .doc file describes. I've always slipstreamed my (E)IDE/SATA drivers that way since finding these forums but it DOES work. I use recovery tools like O&O BlueCon and I honestly don't know how they would react to a textmode folder with stuff jammed in it. As to the IDE/SATA issue...WTF...Of course it's faster. Do a little reading and compare the two. I myself personally don't use raid arrays. I do use SATA drives for everyday use. About the only action my IDE drives see these days is for archival, general storage and disk imaging. I'll be so glad when all the old stuff is finally laid to rest.
  15. I plan [read might] upgrade if the feature set is worth it and only after it's been out for a while.
  16. I've tried this and it doesn't seem to work. Yes, the product key is legal.
  17. That's what I did when I got it. Added DX9c and MP10 to SP1 as well.
  18. Actually, MCE 2005 is doing pretty good right now. Nothing more than just an add on tho. Still nice.
  19. Between the two, WinDVD but I agree with MolTraS.
  20. can't help but you're not the only one having probs
  21. Thought that I'd finally get around to saying hello to everyone.
  22. Try this: http://www.911cd.net/forums/index.php?show...t=0entry48454
  23. It may be out but I have not come across it during any searches. I will find it though.
  24. i've been looking in to that one myself for a couple of days. i'll post as soon as i find out more.
