  1. Okay, so using .NET 2.0 should be the simplest but which classes and that should be used? Most of the stuff is done remotely as well. Are there any classes or controls in NET 2.0 that actually allow interaction with Exchange? Interop style?
  2. Alright. Probably one of the most niggly little things I've come across in my years of coding is deciding on how to go about developing an application which accesses Exchange Server 2003. I have the SDK and have been to site after site after site and yet there is no definitive way to go about coding for Exchange. So far the only real option is to use WebDAV. There's also CDO and the rest but which is best? I am now a .NET 2.0 developer through an through and having to muck about with XMLDOM and such is particularly tedious when all a person wants to do is check the Exchange Server for something simple like new email, etc. That aside, there are articles on the web for doing various things with Exchange but they almost always differ in the manner in which they get things done. What I really want to know is: What is the best way to go about accessing Exchange? What about using .NET 2.0? What sites are out there which are comprehensive about coding for Exchange? These are questions which alot of people want answered but alas there are only a few people out there with the experience and expertise to answer them. If anyone has any thoughts or opinions on the matter please post them. Thanks in advance! >_<
  3. I'm trying to center the text of the column headings, right, but if you set the property to 'MiddleCenter' or 'TopCenter' or whatever, the text is not centered correctly! it has a left offset... does anyone know how to correct this? is their another way to do it?
  4. Okay... I know that Decimal is accurate up to 29 digits and that Single and Double can store even larger numbers... what i want to know is: how much accuracy is lost using Single and Double? I think, because they use floating point, S and D become quite inaccurate *scratch* I'm not too sure... if anyone could help it would be a huge help thanks
  5. I want to make an application which allows Greek and Hebrew characters to be inputted into a text box. How can i do this?
  6. *scratch* i dont really have much of an idea... dont see how it would be possible either... the data is formatted differently... do you want to save the .doc text, images, etc into a visible format?
  7. *blink* I dunno if i speak for anybody else but what exactly are you asking? *scratch* How do you want to embed the .doc file?
  8. Try embedding the zip file as a resource. Should be able to search for how using MSDN, cant remember myself. You will most probably be able to manipulate it from there in some way *scratch* or you could just package it with the form... *shrug* there are a few ways AROUND it but go figure for the actual solution!
  9. Righto! I've got a project that I'm working on and there's a particular style I wanna use (Using Visual Studio 2005 Pro btw). I like the look of the visual style of the tab control/pages. What I wanna do is use a tab control as a panel... (or any other method) so that it will look like this... ... except I cant get the label to change its background to that of the tab control (i think the label has the main form as a parent?). What i'm looking for is a way to make it look like it does in the image with the label having correct transpency. Is there a way to do this using tab controls? or is there a component out there that can be used instead? or is there a component that can be manipulated to look like that? *sigh* its really annoying so any help would be lank appreciated!
  10. ! Thanks for the help ! Its alot easier using another program as opposed to struggling to get through with FlashGet! I recommend FDM! It acts very similarly to FlashGet anyway so its not much of a change.... thanks again!
  11. *scratch* okay so everyone has their own opinion on which Defrag is best but until a decent test is performed with all the latest versions of each Defrag (ie: PerfectDisk, Diskeeper and O&O) a clear winner cant be found... I get it that Windows uses a version of the one but that means nothing, personal opinions mean nothing (no offense!) so why doesnt someone test em and then show the stats? I think someone did that previously (like in 2004!) but that has no relevance now so TEST! test results cannot be disputed and it would be a huge help to those of us deciding which Defrag to purchase. Look forward to seeing the results! *thumb's up*
  12. *nod* i've done that but when it authenticates i get: Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. ) Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 Via:1.1 CS-PROXY Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 Proxy-Authenticate: NTLM Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 Proxy-Authenticate: Kerberos Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 Proxy-Authenticate: Negotiate Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 Connection: close Wed Feb 22 06:48:37 2006 Proxy-Connection: close I've tried to authenticate myself through my username and password but it doesnt help... any suggestions?
  13. *scratch* already tried that... just not too sure how to manage it properly, but i've tried most things out and still doest work!
  14. VLC is awesome but its UI is bad, you have very little control during play (with 8.0.2 when in full screen you have no access to basic playback options *scratch* unless there's some I dont know about?). As far as being able to run all types of files... - VLC is King. MPC and MP 10 are both rad too. Their UI's are decent too, especially MP 10. PowerDVD is ok. Its nothing special. Another is BSPlayer which is pretty cool and allows for screen caps. 1. MP 10 2. VLC 3. MPC 4. BSPlayer 5. PowerDVD 6. ZoomPlayer and all those others
  15. I spend alot of time at uiniversity and as such I have plenty of time to waste downloading things... problem is the internet keeps cutting out for some reason and the people in charge aren't particularly worried. So all my downloads cut out somewhere along the line and my time gets wasted... I thought I'd use FlashGet or some other manager to try and get over this problem but if I do use a manager it cant connect at all! I access the internet through a proxy which i rate is blocking FlashGet. Is there not some way to get around this? I'd really appreciate some help with this!
