  1. DiskPart works for me on this end. Got a usable *desktop*. IE works. 64-256 MB ramdisk depending on the actual memory installed. Since the SMS2003 deployment stuff has PE2004 (without the build tools) and the registry hives, is it possible to reverse a hive back in to an INF file for inclusion during the build process using the 1.2 build tools?
  2. C:\Program Files\Acronis\DiskDirector C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\Acronis\CDRecord C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\Acronis\Drivers Open Explorer (or whatever file manager you use) and copy ALL files from Program Files\Acronis\DiskDirector, Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\CDRecord and Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Drivers to the plugins folder of pebuilder. fichiers systems : snapapi.dll du répertoire windows\system32 setupnt.dll du répertoire windows\system32 snapman.sys du répertoire windows\system32\drivers Copy snapapi.dll and setupnt.dll from the Windows\System32 folder to the plugins folder of pebuilder. Copy snapman.sys from Windows\System32\Drivers to the plugins folder of pebuilder. Works with any language version that is produced. Build your PE image and once the image is burnt or mounted in Virtual PC or VmWare everything works (with the exception of the low level partitioning in virtual environments). Do the same with TrueImage.
  3. Thank you very much for the info.
  4. Install your localized version of the app and copy the files as shown in the readme. Both DD & TI are working great.
  5. They work great. No translation needed. Just copy the files from the locations shown to where it shows to copy them to.
  6. Could it be just as simple as reversing the MSI file, getting the registry info and file locations and then plug everything in to PE? Wishing and hoping?
  7. Yeah, I forgot about driver signing. I can't recall if mine's turned on or off but I haven't had any complaints from the OS. Edit: It's off.
  8. If I remember correctly, it's for 64bit Windows and nForce3 motherboards.
  9. Open up your nvmcp.inf file and add these lines somewhere in the [nvnforce.AddReg] section. HKLM,%RunOnceEx%\001",,,"nVidia Audio Mixer" HKLM,%RunOnceEx%\001","1",0x00020000,"%SystemRoot%\drivers\nVidia\AudioUtl\setup.exe -s" /f That will allow the audio mixer to be installed, if and only if that inf file is processed by Windows for driver installation.
  10. Would love to know as well
  11. Thanks for the speedy reply. I will check it out and see how it goes.
  12. Curious. Can the OPK build tools of PE SP1 reliably build a SP2 version, or should I wait for the official 1.5 release?
  13. hate to sound like a n00b, what is DC? And, is there a guide somewhere?
  14. I have the WIM file and some others that I pulled from the MSI file. I've tried running every setup contained within and nothing. I've noticed that there's a file called WIMGapi.dll. Are there any doc's on using the API? Since I actually don't have any servers for SMS2003 when I try to do a normal install, it tells me that it can't continue because it can't find any servers to connect to. Any way to fool it?
  15. any way to extract/install PE from there to a usable state without having SMS?
  16. nVidia 6800 GT or a Radeon 9800. Either will do fine. Stay away from the *cheap* hardware.
  17. I've never had that issue with SP1 or SP1a. Seems strange that it happens now. SP2s firewall has been disabled as well as the complete security center. TCP max connections was restored to the default of SP1(a).
  18. Hope someone can shed some light on this for me... After installing service pack 2 everything runs and behaves normally except when msn messenger 6.2 is open with voice chat. Problem is when doing a voice chat, web sites and downloads go really slow. When voice is turned off web sites and downloads return to normal. Firewall is not enabled. Any help or advise would be appreciated.
