  1. From what I saw, all three updates were related to Remote Desktop. The only one that installed on my PC was KB2483614. By extracting all three with UniExtractor and using Copy->Paste between folders I realized some files had the same names, so I guess only the required one installed (in my case mstsc.exe v. 6.1.7600.20861). And I got the same error during install with the other two, including KB2481109. Cheers
  2. Welcome to MSFN. The right place to post is here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=89 , but at this point you could ask a moderator to move the post. WMP11 is integrated with this http://www.boooggy.org/slipstreamer/ (into the source BEFORE you run nLite) As for Java, please take a look at the Application Add-ons sub-forum http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/132-application-add-ons/ and search for a ready-made add-on. If you can't find one, you can install it silently through RunOnce. As for Office 2003, look at post #2 here When having problems with nLite, always attach the Last Session.ini file (found in C:\Program Files\nLite\Presets or the folder with the XP install you were modifying). Only attach Last Session_u.ini if required and after deleting sensitive information inside (product key, name, passwords...) Cheers
  3. Better safe than sorry. The Temp folder, for example, may be empty at the moment, but it is used during normal work. Avast! Free uses it all the time. It's a bit strange that the Installer folder is empty, or just maybe you can't see hidden or system files. Mine's well over 600MB at the moment. In my case, the Movie Maker folder is created in Program Files, although I remove it from the CD. It shouldn't really bother you. Cheers
  4. Of course, use the search function in the nLite forum and use keywords such as "slim", "extreme removal" etc. Out of experience, even if you don't use System Restore, do NOT remove it from the install CD, or you will get some very strange errors. Cheers
  5. Updated to latest version 09/02/2011 Rev.3771 by clsid
  6. There is, under the condition that you have a very slim XP install (and a very thin Office install as well). This means losing a lot of functionality. Any way, for info on Office 2003 add-ons, go to the Application Add-ons sub-forum here and search for "Office 2003"; find the Office Shrinker in the sticky topics here http://www.msfn.org/...office-97-2010/ I normally: 1. run ORK (Office Resource Kit) 2003, create an administrative install, deselect/remove the features I don't need, copy the unattended install line at the end, and then 2. run the Office Shrinker. In numbers: Office 2003 Professional CD1: ~ 400MB After admin install: 600MB After Office Shrinker: 273MB The only difference is I've never tried (nor I will) making or using an add-on; I run it from RunOnce through the $OEM$ folder, and I use a DVD, not a CD. Edit: one more Good luck and cheers
  7. If you're looking for a proper .NET detector, here's one http://www.asoft.be/prod_netver.html (there are a few around the forums, use search if you like) As for the screenshot, it looks really, really strange. If .NET framework 2.0 is not installed, nLite tosses a window with a numeric error like this
  8. I'm not sure what really happened here, but I use nLite with .NET 2.0 SP2 (which I only installed for nLite ) Please attach your Last Session.ini and a screenshot of the warning itself. Which version of nLite are you using? Cheers
  9. Did you apply the UxTheme Patch? See pic #35 in this picture guide http://win-x.co.cc/nliteimages.html Set it to Enabled and it should work. Welcome to MSFN.

Let's keep it simple: download MS downloads ONLY from their website. Follow monkie53's link. Welcome to MSFN.
  11. Here you are http://www.mediafire.com/file/tbh6s5l9s77vgau/LiteShell0.9.3_ADDON.7z or visit the link in my signature Size: 238KB MD5: 7ebe89d1978c8809397cd3556a2c3abf N.B.: I did not have time to test it, but there should not be any problems; if there are any, please report them. Cheers
  12. Allow me, however, to point you to DriverPacks, as it is probably the best way of integrating different drivers into one install. nLite only uses one, i.e. the last RAID driver that was integrated. Cheers
  13. A google search of the Hardware ID shows that it corresponds to Atheros AR5xxx/AR9xxx Wireless driver; However, this http://en.wikipedia....ion_Event_Timer says and
  14. Sorry means you can't use nLite, as it is for personal use only.Cheers
  15. I believe it's because you are using Classic Login. Try the Welcome Screen option in Control Panel -> User Accounts. There are some settings in the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc from the Run box)->User Configuration->Administrative Templates->System or Instead of Alt+Ctrl+Del you could use Ctrl+Shift+Esc, which also starts the Task Manager Cheers
  16. When I said "compare", I meant open them with Notepad and see if the file version and/or the date are the same Cheers
  17. Welcome to MSFN. For starters, check the obvious: see if your CD has any visible damage that prevents nLite from copying files. Try making an .ISO file to keep on your hard drive http://www.google.com/search?q=create+iso+free&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a and use that for nLite instead of your CD. Also, using nLite on Win7 can cause some issues, so I suggest you use a virtual machine (with XP installed) to create your nLited CD, which you can later extract from the VM and burn. Cheers
  18. A simple comparison of VIAMRAID.INF in both folders should tell you if they are the same. If they are, then nLite only needs one. Report back for further steps if they are not the same. Then we will find which one is suitable for you. Cheers
  19. Look at this page, picture #11 http://win-x.co.cc/nliteimages.html Anyway, did you include txtsetup.oem in the same folder?
  20. Moving txtsetup.oem in the same folder as the others is a correct move, but you are right about choosing TXT mode for SATA/RAID/AHCI drivers; so, if you integrated a RAID driver as PnP, I'm afraid you'll have to redo the procedure. Cheers
  21. These two links contain the reg tweak on how to enable the Quick Launch toolbar. If in doubt, search for Kelsenellenelvian's Quicklaunch Enabler add-on for nLite, which contains an .inf file that has always worked for me. It will give you a few ideas. Cheers
  22. colore, you have been around here much longer than me and should know that nLite questions are asked in the nLite forum http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/89-nlite/ Anyway, the answer is no. The development of nLite has been stopped and I'm afraid it's for good. There's still the good ol' way of installing them through a batch file which nLite can start at a given moment, or the use of other tools, such as WPI. Cheers
  23. Welcome to MSFN. Please take time to read the forum rules above all. The language used is English, but if you don't speak it, please use online translators Cheers Bienvenido a MSFN. Tarde por favor el tiempo para leer las reglas del foro sobretodo. La lengua usada es inglés, pero si usted no lo habla, utiliza por favor los traductores del Internet
  24. For all MS products use the /? switch to find out which are the silent switches e.g. for Microsoft Visual C++ x86: vcredist 2005SP1: /Q vcredist 2008: /q vcredist 2010: /q /norestart Also, search is a very good friend; I'm sure you will find a lot in this sub-forum.
