  1. 6600... 6600GT that is, other ones are normaly PCI-E(8x). The GT is the only one as far as I know that is for AGP . EDIT: DL, I thought he checked his system and that they were slow from the beginning ?
  2. Those keyboards are more like paper, also used on the ZX80 and VideoPack from Philips .
  3. Now I feel even older . IWhen I was clicking on this topic I thought about ZX80, MSX, C64, AMIGA, ATARI... Who couald have thought that Nintendo64 was there too, hehehehe... PS. I liked the Vampire Slayer (Castle Venia) from Konami (****, those guys were good). Also from them SD-Snatcher!
  4. I would go for a nVidia 6600GT or 6800SE card, both 128MB and AGP. You can unlock a lot on the 6800SE, that makes it a SE, with RivaTuner. These cards work well with pixel shader model 2 and 3, and that’s what these games like to use! Also, buy an extra 256MB DIMM, most of the games are asking for a minimum of 256MB but will run a lot better on 512MB. XtremeMaC is right in his postings. DON´T go for HYPED UP system specs, like 1GB RAM, 256MB video RAM, S-ATA HDDs (with or without 8MB cache). So, go by steps, first change the video card, and then put more RAM... PS, any brand will do fine, most of the 6600GT / 6800SE cards are the same. I personaly like MSI and ASUS. (I don´t know how advanced Iran is, but if it´s like Mexico you will have problems finding good cards...)
  5. Automatic - Automatic getting IPs and that kind of stuff... try other names with no capitals.. No special characters.
  6. Euhmm, you should only have removed that flashget button....
  7. The only way you can check your temperature is with an infrared thermo meter. You have to point directly on the core to get it exact. So forget that temperature, if it’s showing lower then 80oC I would stay cool too .
  8. Hmmm, looks like a bad CD, or a not 100% computer. Edit: Are you using a new Harddisk? Any RAID or SATA configurations? Overclocked system? and look here too: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=ST&f=34&t=29277
  9. Same here, AMD K6 II 450MHz, 192MB RAM, 10GB HDD 5400rpm, VooDoo 3000 16MB. Not even nLited. You can play even games with that, like WarCraft III LOL B) . ps. 1300MHz PIII Celeron IS NOT that slow. Mora RAM (like 256MB and up) a GF 4000 (low budged, but the 128bit version) and a new 7200 Harddisk will even make it a gaming machine. Try to tweak that CPU a bit, from 100 to 110MHz FSB (It will run NFSU(2) with good setting smooth)
  10. Use "Hijack This" to remove buttons from IE. It´s a simple way to do it.
  11. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools...Controler.shtml This one? It uses like 1.5MB per system, but you have to install it on all computers. It’s password protected (even when you want to de-install it (although I think some one who knows how to use the reg. can by-pass it)) and you can control the bandwidth of EVERY program that is using the network (UP AND DOWN ). Edit: Why you have "Group: Dev. team" there, like I have "Group: Members" ? What is it for?
  12. Try to set your network settings on automatic. And yes, you don´t have GPEDIT.MSC also a lot of networksettings are not shown like on XP pro. You could do everything by hand in the registry, but that will be hard if you´re going to do that for the first time. PS, make sure all services are running, like SERVER and WORKSTATION (if XP Home has them, (almost sure )) Use SERVICES.MSC in your Start->RUN...
  13. Use firefox LOL ... Just read what raskren and I were posting... .. .
  14. Okay, do this: - Go to the control panel - Go to User accounts - Click on the user that is the "curent" user - On the left side you will see "Manage my network passwords", click on that one Now you see a list with all those email-adresses, remove the one that is logged on automaticly; remember NEVER to click auto signin again
  15. IExplorer and Explorer share a lot of files, so, when you have that error then start using a anti-virus scanner, anti-adware, anti-hijack program to fix your machine... else reinstall it .
  16. I wish M$ putted some password protections in there GPEDIT.MSC (or settings in the REG.) so you don’t have to logon like an ADMIN..
  17. you should put those lines in AUTOEXEC.BAT / AUTOEXEC.DOS and CONFIG.SYS / CONFIG.DOS so every time you start a DOS program it´s going to use those setting... but that´s in 98. LOL. XP has them too, but they are hidden system files. Okay, if you make a shortkut to that program you can change the properties of that shortcut. o to "options" and set your BUFFERS and NUMBER OF BUFFERS. I don´t know where to find the FILES settings, but try to set BUFFERS first. (Could be something with NUMBER OF BUFFERS.) I hope that helps...
  18. Change your home page in IE. That´s all you need to do.
  19. "Q. Why is the software free and does it contain any spy/adware? The software comes in a Free edition for non-commercial use, and for single users only. It does not contain any spy/adware (we detest spy/adware). There is a pay for Premium edition, which you have the option to upgrade to if you desire." Strange, are you sure about those 45 days? It´s only that you can´t put your own pograms in the list of "protected" programs... EDIT: ARRRGGGGG... it needs ACTIVE-X.... hhmmm, forget about this program... LOL
  20. You’re welcome, good that it worked... And your grammar is readable .
  21. http://www.winguardpro.com/ Or this one?
  22. You also can call M$. If you want to re-use your licence for a better computer, while for example the old one died. You need to explain them that your computer was un-repairable defect and they will give you a new activation. But in this case, it’s not a problem, the activation is only checking a checksum from the BIOS of your system, so don’t worry about that. PS. I don´t know if this is also for Malaysia, but in Europe and the USA it´s posible.
  23. http://firingsquad.com/hardware/logitech_mx1000_review/ Ooopss, just like this
  24. Looks normal, but the DIMM you are using is for 2.5-2.6V. try yto see the voltage with SiSoft Sandra if your BIOS is not showing it. (strange that it´s even crashing with a 3.3V DIMM (PC133)). Any way, to test it with an other mobo is the most expensive and hard way to find out, but I think it´s the only way. Can´t help you with that... :S PS, is that a mobo with ALI chipset? Site is working very well but can´t find the mobo info any more...
  25. That Abit board is nice, but keep in mind that the nothbridge cooler with fan will make noise after some time, even if you keep it free fom dust. Buy a zallman northbridge cooler, that would make a perfect choice for you. Then, I don´t know what is the diference between a Asus or Abit motherboard in price... you have to look for your self . ow, if you like to have an Asus, look at this one: http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2...182&modelmenu=1 There is also a SE version with a cheaper onboard sound chip...
