    Creative Gameport

I don't remove the Gravis Digital GamePort and nothing shows up as uninstalled in my Device Manager. Although, even when it was removed, I experienced no audio problems with any games.
  2. I'd say go with Andromeda43's advice. The reason I say that is because normally when you ask what people use to do whatever on their PC, you get a different answer from each person and you're no further in your journey than you would have got if you just Googled it. But when someone with that kind of experience under their belt says what they've been using for more than 2 decades, there's no doubt about it. Simple as that. Me? I use Acronis, but I just backup/restore my own system and soon I'll be doing that for my girlfriend's PC.
  3. Never heard of it.
  4. If uTorrent doesn't work well for you, I'm sure BitComet will. I've had no luck with any uTorrent build myself. It just does not find as many seeds as BitComet does. Not for me, anyway.

    Prey

Prey is pretty much just a twist between Half-Life 2 and Doom 3, with the addition of portals and gravity shifts. Terrific gameplay, no doubt. The Spirit Mode is very interesting. I do enjoy this game.

    nLite v1.01 Final

    Any insight, Nuhi?
  7. Yeah, I found that most of thr tweaks didn't work at all for me when I reformatted last night. Even simple ones like "remove shortcut arrow". Not in the same section of nLite, I know, but pretty much the same thing.
  8. Worked fine for me.
  9. Yeah, Nero 6.6 is what I use. If you're going to use 7, grab the Lite version available on MSFN.

    nLite v1.01 Final

Well, I tried the ISO in VMware and Remote Desktop is there, but when I physically reformat, it ISN'T! WTF? I selected it in the Compatibility menu and checked off the "Enabled RDP" tweak. Very irritating at this point. Ok, I managed to Sandbox the EXE and DLL, but when I register the DLL, it doesn't show me the Remote Tab despite registering being successful. Nuhi, can you lend me a hand? Do I have to reformat and put those two files (and possibly more) in my Keep Box?
  11. Thanks, alot. It did what I wanted to do, so whatever.
  12. Nice one, Zxian.
  13. Does anyone know how to use UPX to compress an entire folder w/subfolders through the commandline? I've been messing around with it and can't seem to get it to work. Any advise would be appreciated.
  14. 98SE rules!!!!! Sure it does.
  15. Boy are you one misguided fellow. My XP SP2 nLited machine turns off in 5 seconds. If you're going to do anything life/death important in 4 seconds, I suggest you do so before you sit down at the PC. Bloat = nLite Safer from viruses and hackers, huh? Is it just me or did M$ stop support for old OSes on the 11th?
  16. *Holds back immense laughter* Love the emoticon there... lol
  17. Uhm, yeah, higher bandwidth needed there! 80-pin!
  18. Lately for me it's been yearly, but I'm also not so obsessed with running XP that's been slimmed down with the latest nLite anymore. Zxian recently got me fond of Acronis True Image. I don't reformat anymore, I just restore my HD with a 5 GB image file stored on my second harddrive. I can screw up all I want now. lol
  19. I've recently tested a lot of data recovery tools, and the best is R-Studio Corporate v3.0. I believe DigeratiPrime would also agree). Just to pain you a picture: I had Star Trek TNG seasons I downloaded, burnt, and deleted off my HD months and months ago. Since then I reformatted, full and about half a dozen quick formats. I also restored my drive with an Acronis image several times. Copied, extracted, deleted, defragmented dozens and hundreds of times, you name it. Even still, R-Studio recovered about 2 seasons of my downloaded TV show, as well as 820 MBs of other thngs. Other very good ones are: Runtime GetDataBack FinalData Enterprise v2.0 FormatRecovery
  20. yeah, if you burn C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop to a CD, that won't do you any good. You'll need the installation files on another CD.
  21. 2 ways I like to use are: 1. Sandboxie and run the install inside of it, then copy the files outside of it. 2. Universal Extractor
  22. Unplug your headphones?
  23. What makes this emulator any better than FCE Ultra or other emu's?
  24. Wow, an extension for something as simple viewing cached files in *any* browser... ridiculous. and "Spiderzilla" sounds like a flash game rather than a Firefox extension.... weird names.
