3.
i like emule mainly because it doesnt have any spyware or adware bundled with it.
Neither do the popular torrent clients.
4. Yeah, Everest rocks.
5. I don't think many people know what "mappers" are. I don't. The best place is check up on emulator updates is www.emuunlim.com (Emulators Unlimited). There's a dozen or so emulators out there for each console, so just get them all and all is well.
6. FileZilla, CuteFTP, FlashFXP, try them out. I personally use FileZilla.
7. http://blog.ceruleanstudios.com/ The screenshot doesn't look that much different from the current version, although they finally got rid of the scroll bar. You'd think after more than a year's time to develop the program they'd have mastered audio, video and conferencing chat. Oh well, I guess that's what Skype is for.
8. It's ok guys. I decided not to torrent my file. No one started downloading it after a day and a half so I figured it was pointless. DigeratiPrime, I don't use uTorrent because for me it sucks. I tried the same torrent in BitComet and uTorrent and BitComet picked up more seeds instantly than uTorrent did in 30 minutes. BitComet was going at 50 KB/s and uTorrent was at 0-2 KB/s. And yes, I know how to forward ports on my router. I've tried the latest versions and the same result occurs as did on older versions.
9. FLAC is the very best because it is lossless. The next best is OGG. MP3 technology is more than a decade old, you know. If you encode to MP3, just use a program that bypasses all that DRM crap and outputs at 320 kbps for optimal quality guarenteed to sound awesme on home theater setups with surround sound.
10. I use Trillian but dislike the fact that it hasn't been updated since February 23, 2005. Version History
11. I did google and all i find is alot of text with no download of a filter. It's well known that if the average cannot find what he/she is looking for in 3 clicks, he/she will stop looking at that particular webpage. http://neuron2.net/ < Click "Mine" on the left vertical menu and scroll down the following page.
12. Ah, I see. Well, I think there's been some lack of elaboration on my part. I'm not new to torrents. I'm using BitComet and I have the listening port forwarded on my router and I have no trouble uploading. Here's exactly what I did: 1. Used MakeTorrent 2.1 to create the torrent. I put in a description and chose one of the default listed trackers, which the program said was "Alive". The video I made was hashed and then the torrent was created. 2. I put both the torrent and the video in my torrent downloads folder and opened the torrent with BitComet. The hash was checked 100% and then all BitComet says is "Connecting". There should be 1 seed, being me, since it's mine. 3. I uploaded the torrent to Mininova.org. 4. I left it on overnight and was uploading but at 0 KB/s. What am I not doing/doing wrong?
13. Which TCP and UDP ports do you recommend?
14. There's more to "superiority" than memory usage. Keep in mind that's during a scan.
15. Hi, my first torrent; how do I seed it? I'm using BitComet and I uploaded the torrent to Mininova. I am behind a router but I have the listen port forwarded. I have a few trackers that I copied and pasted from another torrent (hope this doesn't really matter). The torrent is hash-checked and 100% complete locally, lol, since it's mine. Any advice would be very helpful.
16. LOL. I haven't tried Kaspersky's product yet, but I really like Outpost. I know you are/were using WinPooch, but I thought it was a retarded program to be honest. Anyway, *poke*.
17. AV Comparatives.org's May 2006 Pure Retrospective Results are in: http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse_2006_05.php NOD32 is the winner here.
18. Google.
19. Antec for me, too. My old system, which I gave to my girlfriend once I got a new system, has Antec SLK2650-BQE Black Quiet Mid-Tower case. My new system, has the Antec P180. There are 3 things I hate about my Antec P180. 1. It's very heavy. 2. The inner design sucks IMO. 3. The front panel door is flimsy. Main advantage is that it's designed for great ventilation and sound dampening, and dust filtering.
20. CD-ROM drives aren't expensive, anyway. Unless you're going for a Pioneer or LG, those babies are top-notch.
21. That happens when the .MSI file associated with that program has either been deleted or the reference within the registry has been altered. The .MSI files are located in C:\WINDOWS\Installer. If directing the pop-up box to the specific .MSI file in that folder doesn't work, I'd suggest just reinstalling overtop of the programs that have this issue.
22. I've heard the ModStreams are known to have several issues that the PowerStreams do not.
23. Nice. Bookmarked.
24. Does WLM require your contacts to also use WLM in order for the messages to be sent/received properly? Another possibility is if you're running a firewall, it may be interferring with that.
25. VirtualDub does all those. You should find it quite convenient for your needs.
