  1. Your CPUs are 69C?! Removing the duct I doubt would change anything. nLite has no impact on temperatures, that's just your OS. Unfortunately, I think the first priority would be to spend money on better cooling and put the video card on hold.
  2. http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=102&source= Sure you may, by searching for possible causes and troubleshooting until you resolve the problem.
  3. Good work. I knew it was something simple.
  4. You shouldn't be going to certain websites at school in the first place. If you get banned from a forum, it's pointless to spoof your IP to rejoin because the admins will find out and ban you again before you get an answer to anything you post. If people waited for the right time at the right place to do what they wanted to do, then "Hide Your IP" businesses would go bankrupt.
  5. There's no way I'm paying over half a grand for an OS. Not a bloody chance in hell.
  6. Just keep yourself busy or go into Hibernation.
  7. During installation or when opening the game? It doesn't sound like a .PAK file corruption issue.
  8. Bad financial decision but that's just my opinion. I hope you are happy with it. Cheers.
  9. I removed the front fan first and had it off for 5 minutes when I noticed temperatures went up by 2 degrees. Removing the top one afterwards didn't affect temperatures at all.
  10. I took the front and top fan out and my temps went up by a mere 2C, which is insignificant. And I'm not like most people.
  11. Ok, so it's probably your Windows machine there. Do you have any errors in Event Log that show any indication of issues or failure? Are you using onboard or a NIC card? Is the cable going from the router to your PC good? Try turning it around? You might have a malware or virus infection that is conflicting with your connection. Please run updated full system scans with Ad-Aware SE, Spybot, and Windows Defender. Also for viruses please use either freeware Avast or a trial of Kaspersky or NOD32.
  12. Try uninstalling them via Device Manager, unplug them, reboot, plug them back in and try again. Also, you might try going to C:\WINDOWS\INF\ and deleting all the .PNF files, then try.
  13. Yeah, I have a DI-604 so the interface is the same. When you get into the administrative console of the router, go to Status and it should give you the internal (usually 192.168.0.1) IP and external IP (the one you get from the ISP). D-Links are actually known for being problematic sometimes. In the long run if no usual troubleshooting resolves the issue, then you might want to consider getting a new router, like the infamous Linksys ones.
  14. Yeah:
  15. What make and model is the router? When you lose your connection do the following: Start > Run > CMD > "ipconfig /release" and then "ipconfig /renew". If that works properly, then it's likely not your router. If the router has a release and renew option do that. If it times out, you need to call your ISP.
  16. Patience? If there were news about it, I doubt you'd have far to go to find the article...
  17. What would be easier is if you simply exported the registry entries for the game (which would include any serial number) and save that as a .REG file and included it in your ISO, as well as the game files. So for example: Game.iso Program Files\Game Folder Application Data\Game Folder Game Registry.reg Next time you want to play, no need to install but simply extract, import and play.
  18. Not really. What you need to do is get a new CPU heatsink and fan, or the thermal paste or pad is dried out. I'd suggest: Arctic Cooling Freezer Scythe Ninja Or a good Zalman one. For thermal paste you want the AS5. Also make sure that you have nothing in your case obstructing the airflow, at least as best you can. The primary concern at this point re-applying the paste (if you haven't already done so or the PC is new) and a new heatsink.
  19. What exactly are you saying? Are you requesting recommendations on what a good BootCD is that features what you are looking for? If so, the first thing that comes to mind is BartPE. However, you can find a lot more info if you Search for "boot CD" or "BartPE".
  20. I have stated before that the goal is to provide information. If what I am doing breaks a rule, then I am sure a moderator or super moderator would bring it to my attention. Ah, I forgot the comment there. Well, I guess I assumed that since I am replying in a firewall related topic that people would clue in that the site links to information on firewall and testing of firewalls. Nonetheless, I was not confronted by someone of higher status so you need not worry any further.
  21. If I get a new one and you want to pay the shipping charge, I'll mail it to you.
  22. I run anything like that by PuntoMX and Zxian as they have a great deal of knowledge between and I trust their recommendations. Cash is something I don't have a whole lot of and when I do it can't go towards my PC on a regular basis. I'm planning on replacing my CPU heatsink with an Arctic Cooling Freezer as explained earlier in this topic. The Zalman would be good but is too expensive for me at the moment. I already use AS5 out of preference although I don't think it matters a great deal specifically which paste you use. My temperatures as nowhere near anything to be worried about under full load as I did a lot of monitoring last night with Everest while talking to Punto on Skype. I'm not worried about them for the time being. I think people over-exagerate or become too paranoid about temperatures without actually experimenting by taking one fan out at a time and testing to see any difference in temperatures. I spent 10 minutes doing this and found out I don't need two fans that came with my case. I also realize I would be happier with a smaller case.
  23. My apologies, I was thinking about Comodo Pro. I still have some waking up to do.
  24. A picture has already been taken: Here. It's of when I still had those two fans in my PC. And to improve your stats, place your PC on the windowsill when it's really cold out.
  25. Yes, it is free. I was using it last week. Freeware.
