  1. Don't expect a lot of help from others when you don't initially provide enough relevant information for troubleshooting purposes, and have very poor spelling/grammar skills.
  2. He posts what I usually keep as after-thoughts...
  3. My fiancee has the same issue but you only notice it when you use headphones or turn her two speakers up really loud. I've taken the system apart and re-assembled it before and still the same thing. Maybe weakened shielding in the cables? Other electrical interference?
  4. Try a different media player such as Media Player Classic. For future reference, try Googling and searching instead of sitting idle waiting desperately for someone else to do your task for you. No one's replying because this should be simple if you actually bother.
  5. Precaution is to not have it powered up and be pulling or bending things inside. But the fan is like any other fan inside your PC.
  6. You could have actually Googled FileMon and searched for the folder under Application Data... C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\your.email@whatever.com\ObjectStore\ - Backgrounds - Custom Emoticons - Dynamic Backgrounds - UserTile - Winks3 For the custom sounds under Messenger Plus!: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Messenger Plus!\Custom Sounds\Sound.dat
  7. There's a Cache under the Application Data folder for WLM where the emoticons and other things are stored. Use FileMon.
  8. Yuck. IrfanView for me! Been using it for 6 years now.
  9. Another constructive defense for one's preference...
  10. Yeah, sometimes you get the "Cannot remove MSI Installer" error message when doing it with CCleaner.
  11. For future reference, if its a piece of software that you no longer use and the Add/Remove entry remains, simply navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall Find the entry for the program and delete it. You could use CCleaner or the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility for the same thing as well.
  12. I think that's because of the "last access" time stamp for files, which can be disabled in the registry.
  13. lol @ my IM window on your taskbar.
  14. The ideas come from the books. The movies are obviously just summarized versions of the books on screen, with some minor changes of course. My fiancee loves the Harry Potter series and I enjoy watching them. We're going to the new movie next week.
  15. I voted for AMD because I decided to pick one at random rather than showing bias or favoritism. That's my excuse. Cheers. My friend, who chooses to remain anonymous, states that within that particular price range, the price : performance ratio between Intel and AMD is nearly identical. This is Jeremy the messenger signing off...
  16. I can't mention a specific registry cleaner. Do you have a System Restore point from before this occurred that you could revert back to?
  17. Backup your data, format your drive, reinstall and don't get infected next time.
  18. That's because the registry entries that link to those buttons have become altered or, more likely, removed. A poorly designed registry cleaner will do that. Have you done that recently?
  19. lol @ WWE RAW But yeah, GrofLuigi is right on the money there. I'm pretty sure that'll do it.
  20. A CD drive and 1GB are so incredibly cheap these days... More or less so depending on where you get them (online store, local store, Ebay, or a friend willing to give you one )
  21. I Googled this but didn't find much. I'm attempting this via the command prompt: convert E: /FS:NTFS And I receive: CONVERT is not available for FAT32 drives. Is it because it's a flash drive? Thanks, Jeremy
