Id rather go to a REAL concert, go fishing with my buds, squEezZ my girlfriend, make yet another UA CD, hack something, take a vacation, sleep in, watch cartoons, play a game, go spend money somewhere else........ ect..>?/~*-
  9. One word: Underground. Most people today who use and have illegal operations are "underground". I think most people will always have P2P file sharing. Maybe other Newbies like moms and paps and other non-skilled PC users will be more cautions or stop using P2P networks. There is soo many of them, can the US Justice really put a stop to them ALL? Of course not. Remember what happened when the US Justice decalerd the "CAN-SPAM Act" in late 2003? It was reported that only 8-12% over a 1 year period actually responded to the new law. What makes this any different? What happened when they shut down Kazaa Lite++? Kazaa Resurection was born. What happend to eDonkey2000? eMule was made. What happened when SuprNova was shut down? About 7 other networks with 100 servers opened up within a week. And so on........ Don't get me wrong, everyone deserves the credit for the rightfull work they have done. Some companies are overpriced and/or make you update there software every month with a different Serial number. Other companies only charge once for a lifetime of updates - Those are the best! The music companies are affordable with thier online download, "pay for each song" feature. This I don't mind - as long as it is not copyprotected. I paid for it, I should be able to do with it what I want within my legal terms. Other music places have very strick policies on the music you download from them - even though you paid for it!!! I hate those kind, and refuse to use them and I discourage you from using them. On the other hand movies I pay for. But I like to watch the movie first before paying fot it. Paying $9 a movie at the theatre is a lot for most movies. Waiting 3 months for it to come available via DVD/VHS is way too long. How many movies have you seen / rented / or downloaded and you had to fast-forward, walk out on or deleted them because they sucked! so bad. Just like the creator of the movie, I work hard for my money too. By downloading a movie/song to watch/listen, is that wrong? Keeping the contents and sharing them - that is wrong, (to a certain extent ). Short ver: ~~~~~~~ Yes, certain things that you can obtain by a P2P network is wrong. No, illegal file sharing will never die, ("We never die, we multiply.") or (We don't cry, we don't die, we just multiply) and yes, America is sooner to the endtimes.... lol.
  10. @DonDamm: Short version please.... B)
  11. Quute: "The software maker said on Friday that it will build support for RSS into the next version of Internet Explorer, as well as into Longhorn, the Windows update scheduled to arrive next year." Sounds like another excuse to delay codename Longhorn In No way will IE EVER be Close to the REAL FIREFOX!!! and you have what PROOF that this could even become a theory? IE speaks for itself... but FireFox puts IE to shame ('Bill Gates' wakes up, and noticing he fell asleep at his MAC OS computer again.... )
  12. After 180 days Windows basicly Locks Up, not allowing you to contuine using it, Unless you purchase a Serial Number from Microsoft. $$$$ If you were to to do a clean install of Win 2003 and use the same Serial number I don't know if that same serial number would be good for another 180 days - hence you have to activate Win via the net.... Of curse if Windows didn't need to activate via the net, then the same sreial number would work for another 180 days...!!! Sorry I don't have an true answer on that, I have never used the trial versions from Micro$oft. (I have a MSDN Account ) I know on a normal license for windows you may use the same serial number on the same PC and activate it 3-5 times before you have to call it in. At that point it takes a really long time over the phone. You may also request another serial number.... but I don't know if that will work with the trials. (don't read\|--__ ```~~~7878787there{-}{.>??.""might1010101'be.))))==+ways **<><%$$around@@!@!that^^^<><>/*/`!activation~&,;&^*crap.... ??::::']{^>\/ |-|but~don't~ask~here. ?_+-=_|later 2 U|>.<
  13. Happy Birthday Prathapml! 21 isn't all that bad... - birthdays are like bugers, the more you have the harder it is to breath (lame) - A recent survey showed that at the age of twenty 90% of men have sex four times a week and that by the time they reach 40 they are still capable of telling the same ie. Today is my birthday: I woke up early feeling a little depressed because it was my birthday, and I thought, "Another year older", but decided to make the best of it. So I showered and shaved, knowing when I went down to breakfast my wife would greet me with a big kiss and say Happy Birthday, dear. All smiles, I went into breakfast and there sat my wife reading the newspaper as usual. She didn't say one word. So I got myself a cup of coffee and thought to myself, oh well, she just forgot. The kids will be in in a few minutes all cheery and they will sing Happy Birthday and have a nice gift for me. There I sat, enjoying my coffee, and I waited. Finally the kids came running in yelling, "Give me a slice of toast", "I'm late", "Where is my coat", and "I'm going to miss the bus". Feeling more depressed than ever, I left for the office. When I walked into the office, my secretary greeted me with a smile and a "Happy Birthday, Boss" and said, "I'll get you some coffee". Her remembering made me feel a lot better. Later in the morning my secretary knocked on my office door, and said, "Since it's your birthday why don't we have lunch together. Thinking it would make me feel better, I said, "That's a good idea". So we locked up the office, and since it was my birthday I said, "Why don't we drive out of town and have lunch in the country instead of going to the usual place." So we drove out of town and went to a little out-of-the-way place and had a couple of martinis and a nice lunch, and started driving back to town, when my secretary said, "Why don't we go to my place and I will fix you another martini." It sounded like a good idea, since we didn't have anything to do in the office anyway. So we went to her apartment and she fixed us both a martini and after a while she said "If you will excuse me, I think I will slip into something more comfortable," and she left the room. In six minutes, she opened her bedroom door and came out carrying a big birthday cake and following her was my wife and all my kids, and there I sat with nothing on but my socks!!! lol, now go enjoy a beer! (without having to use your fake ID....)
  14. thats what i did on one of my ua cds, works freakn great thanks again to everyone at msfn B)
  15. Yes password, password, password! Can't get enough of that password!!! I am a security freak, been told that and I am starting to hear it more and more from work..... but I don't care. Passwords, firewalls, Antivirus, Group Policy - snap ins, anti spyware, etc... what ever it takes to secure a network, or home PC, I got it and use it to the full extent possible. I put a password on my home server that keeps all the good stuff, you know games, music, videos, software, upgrades, patches, misc things. The catch is you have restricted access to it. Passwords and using Group Policy settings with the help of multi users accounts make it easier (believe it or not!). Some users have access to everything - but can only read the data, no changes. Others have full access with read/write permissions. And other users may only view certain things when log onto the network. So if jimmy wants to watch a movie - no problem. But lets say jimmy tries to install windows updates or wants to browse the server for software or even games, first the server will check his users permissions, then deny him of even seeing the contents. If by chance he was to get it, Group Policy will block attempts at doing those certain things. I even block Remote Registry, Remote Desktop, access and modifcation of the registry, Turn off FTP Services, Turn off services for wireless, Turn off MSN Mess., Turn Off Win Mess., access to comand prompt, etc... loads more of services that run in the background, (bloatware). For what we use our network for, it works great. Another thing is, I do not allow WiFi or any other Wireless devices to access the network because most people are too stupid to configure a Proxy setup - so we never added a Wireless Firewall. So yes password protect what you can, it will help. Even though there is great password hackers out there and software to do it with, take what ever steps are needed and what you can do might prevent a desater! "If it's not secure, it's not allowed". 16. Thanks for the warning, I think Lightning UK was giving us a heads up when he said, .... "The domain name will be transferred over to the company by the end of the week"..., ..."With 3.5.4.0 being the last version, it makes sense for everyone to disable the "check for new versions" feature, as obviously there won"t be any. Of course what I really mean is that you should all stop using the program out of respect for the company’s rights." ... and ... "Anyone hosting DVD Decrypter is advised to cease doing so immediately. I"ve the feeling they won"t stop with just me."..... This really sucks, I am still pi$%ed off about this. I am glad I was able to download v3.5.4.0 before it was hard to get.... Best Wishes to Lightning UK!! B) and regards: Thank You for such an Awesome, Free, no bullsh1t program!!! to see you go
