@pra, that is interesting. i personally don't use thunderbird/sunbird so i never combined them all. would be nice if some1 can create a installer for them; i mean not replacing the default installer with mozilla's, i mean create a new custom installer (autoit f.e.) so it can place the correct folders on the correct locations and add the correct shortcuts/reg entries. i think i can complete the task with firefox, but never touched other mozilla products. if some1 want to start this project i'll be glad to help

Freeware/open-source skinning n' theming?
SiMoNsAyS replied to seraph00's topic in Customizing Windows
i remember there is a free version of window blinds (2.x i think); but if you're looking for other thing litestep is a good choice -
@prathapml so you moved to firefox? lol open the installer with winrar, extract browser.xpi and open it with winrar again. navigate to \bin\defaults\pref\ and replace it with your firefox.js if the thing is just set your preferences you can do it the way i do: configure firefox as desired, navigate to your profile on %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomstrings and copy prefs.js. open the installer with winrar and extract en-US.xpi (or your localized language .xpi file). open again en-US with winrar and navigate to \bin\defaults\profile\, replace prefs.js. update your setup with the custom .xpi now everytime you install firefox will be set the way you like it

Associate File-types With Programs
SiMoNsAyS replied to AnimaliX's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
"registering file extensions" should give some interesting results -
i think it always worked... (just guessing...) pcanywhere needs that entry and it adds the value again and again... i'm mostly sure on pcanywhere website will help u, if not contact them.

haha! love to see good work in progress, i'll definetly integrate it on my uA CD!

here am i 1st method here. 2nd method is more professional, i'll talk about photoshop. create a new RGB image (180x114) and paste (ctrl+v) your logo on a new layer (doesn't matter the background's color). now select the shape of the layer, that is ctrl+click over the layer that contains the logo (window>layers and ctrl+click over something like "layer 1"). now you've made a selection, keep it. now go to channels (window>channels) while the selection is active. fill the selection with white. keep in mind that black is transparent, grey translucent and white is opaque. save the image as a 32bits bmp and ready to test.

use modifype over it, then makecab the file and replace i386\logon.sc_. if wfp is enabled file will be restored just after being copied

I think you are member in a wrong forum. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it is a fact that every new m$ product comes months after that when it was announced. i'm not really a fan of gate's company, btw i must admit that windows is the best OS ever created... constructive criticism is always welcome lol. i think i'm in the correct forum anyway @XPero, well as you said i'll definetly take a look at it (i'll be forced to include it on my uA even if i don't like to prevent security holes), but i only wait from it a hotfix, like any cumulative update at the moment.

@lilweirddude, theme is longhorn aero ui (night), comes in longhorn transformation pack. a similar one is named longblack (a recolorized-black version of longhorn inspiriat by stefanka).for the desktop icons i use avedesk, a program that can manage icons as "desklets". i converted "longhorn alternative icons" from .ico to .png (128x128) to use them. another desklet, is "vertical calendar" config for sysstats (this last is the desklet name).thanks for your comments

take the image, add the background as another layer. then back to the layer we are going to turn, edit>transform>perspective if you want to, pm me and i can do it for u

another thing, i also disabled some of my app's services so if you install them from runonce be sure to re-import the file.

;El comentario siguiente contiene secuencias de órdenes para SFX Path=%CommonProgramFiles%\Ahead\AudioPlugins\ Silent=1 Overwrite=1 ... but i can't understand why r u so lazy, just enter that path on the box no need of switches but remember to run the file at runonce (%CommonProgramFiles% variable is not defined before). edit: another thing, when i came here after reading the title i just thought i could read a "How To" to add a "Plugin For Nero", next time use a more suitable title for your topic.

@saitoh183, stupid me, sorry man i writed the whole post from memory so i didn't notice it after re-reading it and your post. my fault. @Alanoll, i used a custom msgina file with that regtweak over sp1 (i think it was chaninja's modification) and this tweak never reverted to the classic logon. tried exactly the same thing after sp2 and didn't work.

if timeline is correct i'll be using firefox 1.5/2.0 (i suppose ie7 will be pushed back like any m$ product). i doubt ie7 will come with tabs support and/or plugins/extensions/themes support as any mozilla product, firefox is a non-return road lol

correct, try it and if it didn't work post feedback
