PS for example, just divide the image on the necessary areas. it also can be done with just paint but it will be harder to locate pixel coordenates.

are u using sp2? if indeed it is, you'll had it slipstreamed on your cd, that's why you couldn't find any posts about it

you have to create an administrative installation point, you should start reading http://unattended.msfn.org/index.htm carefully. also don't try to finish your cd today, take your time. finally use the search feature, it will be really helpful good luck!

you mean the desktop shortcuts, right? Not the installation command desktop and start menu shortcuts, right how do you auto-setup the shortcuts? in the file you downloaded you can find the folder "Setup\Shortcuts\es-ES"; shortcuts are already created with "%programfiles%" variable (path independant), if setup.cmd detects an es-ES XPI it copies the propper shortcuts. now that you understand how it works you only need to replaces es-ES with you xx-XX language strings and XPI.

another trick is to open office's word, all fonts will be registered instantly. you can also go to control panel and open fonts folder from there. finally you can search on this forum for "fontinst.exe", a tool to register fonts posted a couple of weeks ago. hope some1 read this post in a future while searching

i find easier to look on "hklm\system\currentcontrolset\services", see how it works and create your own reg.

to remove adt you'll need to edit config.ini, there are instructions attached to first post. i didn't say which xpi because to remove plugins you'll need to edit browser.xpi and to add searchplugins you'll need to edit en-US.xpi

that would only disable indexing service, not the check box; it also won't work on xp, it appears to only take effect on w2k3, at least for me.

i don't know about any1 who has been sucessfull unchecking it... i personally delete completely the service using nlite and the box is still checked after boot. i think the atributes for all the files are defined during setup process so i doubt any regkey can solve the issue, i think is something deeper during windows setup...

for me it mostly depends on the space you have (cd vs. dvd) and extraction time, so it really depends on your purposes. generally i preffer speed so "Just install from DVD to HD (No Compression)"

allowed to dream, lol, i've dreamed about it too many times i don't think ea has nothing to do with this, there were beautiful mods for pre nfs:u games. problem is that those cars had only 2 models (normal and damage). now if you look at nfs:u2 files, you see there are a lot of parts, lots of visual upgrades so it will be mostly difficult if not impossible to create visual upgrades for a new car, or at last that is what i think

@Mekrel, i boosted the icon size up to 128x128. if you change it to 64x64 or something similar you'll see the difference. bigger=better you can always reshack firefox.exe and restore the original icon @ArmyDoc, thanks for your comments dude. add a langpack is really easy. you only need to put the dutch.xpi on XPI\ dir and add a parameter to the shortcut (i do it automatically on the installation, you can look at my shortcuts on Setup\shortcuts\es-ES dir), so the command line will look like... firefox.exe -UILocale nl-NL -contentLocale NL

been using it since 3.0 version. the best tool for customizing windows.

i don't use quick batch file converter and i think it's not free. anyway i want to preserve the .cmd form so every1 can edit it, this was the main purpose. if you read carefully you'll see that the window only stops if the process is not uA (?) and this is solved if you add the parameter /I to every xcopy command. if you want to totally hide the .cmd you just need to use cmdow (delete "rem" to activate it on setup.cmd). i think this is the most suitable solution for every1 and is also the best way to remain the installer customizable.

do you have any idea of what amount of work that would be?? nfs:u2 is not like gta3 or similar. think in the amount of models a car has (check game dirs) and how difficult could be to create every customized part. that's why there aren't any car mods for nfs, because it would be too difficult. anyway there are others like paint-mods, search the web. my skyline looks like the one on 2f2f movie

if we don't talk about some "projects" like linux kit for ps2, you can: of course play your favorite game backups, watch divx/xvid movies with a player stored on your MC, use a HD device with store possibilities (games, savegames...), play master system snes amiga neogeo cd... roms using emulators, you can even use (some of) your usb keyboard/mouse/gamepad on your ps2!
