  1. funny indeed
  2. because the original code (by jdoe) had it to prevent issues with spaces and long path names, that's the only reason. i still can't understand why it didn't work for Mekrel...
  3. ****! hahaha rlmfao a couple of nice vinyls and a 7.1 sound system will definetly fit!
  4. plz 1 by 1 lol @Mekrel, it is SUPPOSED to work without problems for MOZILL~1 problem just do a search and replace on setup.cmd, search "MOZILL~1" with "Mozilla Firefox" (without quotes) second problem is easier than first, when you export your profile be sure to don't forget profiles.ini @badboy05mtl, firefox first startup is supposed to be slow, it has to create pluginreg.dat file. from that it will start as faster as IE (maybe quicker), as everything it depends of the amount of extensions and themes you've installed. you can remove dlls from plugins\ dir to speedup but you'll lose some functionality, try to remove only what you don't need edit: forgot msn question, if you talk about msgr, then at the moment there's no other way to do it than hex-editing the main msn exe that will be tricky and unuseful when a new version comes up. something similar happens with the link to your mail on the start menu, it calls a system dll used to open hotmail on ie
  5. it is supposed to work, try to use a burn program like cdrwin
  6. @gelome, i understood you but unfortunately i don't know what's your solution i suppose there must be a dll you can add to plugins to have that functionality. the only thing i can recommend you is to re-install acrobat pro while firefox is running...
  7. @Yzöwl thanks dude, first post updated
  8. @durex, sorry to be late. profiles.ini file and <random name>.default dir is what you need. the rest inside <random name>.default just depends of what you want, generally, "Cache", "Cache.Trash" and optionally "chrome" and "extensions" are unneeded (the last two if you use XPI and JAR folders to install extensions and themes). some important files are bookmarks.html (favorites), signons.txt (passwords for your sites), compatibility.ini (info about your firefox's version), prefs.js and user.js (the first contains info and preferences about your plugins and extensions, the second contains information about the location of you buttons and misc.), mimeTypes.rdf (what firefox need to do with the files you downloaded, i.e. open with or save to disk), localstore.rdf (relative to extensions and plugins installed)... other important files to preserve: cert8.db, formhistory.dat, hostperm.1, key3.db, secmod.db... finally some extensions had their own preferences stored on a subfolder like forecastfox so export it too. if you don't want headaches and save time, simply export profiles.ini and <random name>.default dir without subfolders @drn_geek, that's right, this installer simply simplifies the task plus add a couple of functions for people that use other methods and/or want to add custom plugins/searchplugins. don't misunderstand Astalavista, i think he only wanted to read an answer from me keep it clean boys, i'm sure we're a friendly community
  9. @lilweirddude, they are just 2 different wallpapers i did for myself ...but now that i think about... it will be cool lol, maybe any of those wallpaper changers out there can do the job
  10. for me the second looks better but i definetly preffer the current
  11. we must be happy, it was born here and i'm proud to share part of my work shots here!
  12. first shots of XPize3! Daily! - Nightly!
  13. @XPero, ****! definetly looking awesome and already integrated on my uA CD! @Nanaki no problem with language versions so you want to see a preview right? XPize3 vs. BioHaZaRD Style! Daily! - Nightly!
  14. i think what u're looking for is not a "Firefox Plugin Needed For Adobe Acrobat Pro 7", what u're looking for is an "Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 plugin for Firefox" the only plugin i know about for acrobat is named "nppdf32.dll" and must be stored on "Mozilla Firefox\plugins\". it installs together with acrobat so if you installed firefox later...
  15. yes it can, it just depends of the use you're going to give it. if you only want to run office programs then default is ok but what if you want to go a bit further...@prathapml, i totally agree, let's see what is going to happen when dual cores hit the market... @Astalavista, if it's for the office i would recommend a plain athlon xp (barton) or a sempron, anything more than this will be a waste of money. if you want to look at 64bits (i think is a bit excessive for an office) i would go for an Athlon 64 3200+ ("winchester") or the more expensive Athlon 64 3500+ ("newcastle"). @Doggie, i can understand you perfectly
  16. i can't agree, amd chips are really cooler since prescott core days. amd offers a really good perfomance at a competitive price so amd for me. if you want the top speed (by default) go for intel but it will be expensive and you'll need to buy plenty of fans, also OC sucks on intel boards. last to say, i bought my xp 3000+ by the half of a p4 3,2ghz costs, after OC, it runs at 2,4ghz (210x11,5 like an amd 3400+ would be). now take a look at what sandra says...
  17. @ml20, 530 login incorrect http://s86953812.onlinehome.us/march.jpg best this way
  18. i usually don't like to pusuit these threads but... 1. This is not a warez site! Links/Requests to warez and/or illegal material (porn, cracks, serials, etc..) will not be tolerated. Discussion of circumventing activation/timebombs/keygens or any other illegal activity will also not be tolerated.i personally find suitable if you don't like to use your original cd and use a no-cd.exe but talk about cracking and recommending cracks is not the way some people like this forum. back to topic, EA's way is a really good choice to prevent piracy
  19. @`Felix`, there is an edit button, was necessary that amount of posts on the last 3 pages? also next time try to be precise while quoting, some of your posts are really hard to scroll
  20. enable "server" and "computer browser" services... this reg must help: ;;Computer Browser [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser] "Start"=dword:00000001 ;Server [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver] "Start"=dword:00000001 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> next time read 5 posts above
  21. @LaptoniC, did u export your own profile (setup\profile)? if not try creating a profile first md /y "%userprofile%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" "%programfiles%\mozilla firefox\firefox.exe" -CreateProfile profilename "%userprofile%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" @Excalabat, many thanks dude. people like you worth the time expended creating the file
  22. search is ok, you only need to know how to use it http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=36149
  23. i did something similar with win98 and win98se but of course w2k and wxp are totally different. the main problem i can see as ryan said are the .INFs, if drivers are updated then files can be added/deleted/moved from the cabs and of course there will be a version missmatchs
  24. hahaha! we are aware of adblock, check the latest posts on "guide: mozilla firefox unattended" there is a link for an adblock xpi provided by nologic that works perfect with this method
  25. SETUPLDR.BIN i think, or this is what i've read from other members my thoughts are that is not on the bin file, string is on SETUPLDR.EX_ (.exe), just b/c of the way windows setup works
