  1. Question? What are the recommended BIOS settings for my motherboard to give me the best experience with my NVIDIA based graphics card? Answer! There is no industry standard among motherboard manufacturers for BIOS options. Each motherboard manufacturer will feature different BIOS options which work best with their products. The following recommended settings are BIOS settings when used with NVIDIA based graphic cards. If these options are not present in your motherboard's BIOS, or differ in the way they are phrased, please consult with your motherboard manufacturer for further BIOS setting information: BIOS settings Assign IRQ to VGA: Enable PnP O/S Installed: Enable VGA Pallet Snooping: Disable PCI Bursting: Disable PCI Latency Timer: 128 Peer Concurrency: Disable Video BIOS Shadowing: Disable Video RAM Cacheable: Disable USWC: Disable/UC Pipeline Cache Write: Disable PCI 2.1 Compliance: Enable (Only needed when using PCI graphic cards) Passive Release: Enable Delayed Transaction:Enable VGA Boot Sequence:AGP (When using an AGP graphics card) Graphics Aperture Size: 128MB (When suing an AGP graphics card) AGP Turbo Read Mode: Disable AGP Turbo Write Mode: Disable

  10. hi! everyone!! specially to the administrator... Grounding What is Ground? Many readers have written asking about grounding and if it is really needed. Electricity only appears when there is a potential difference between two points. For example, if we take two wires, one with a potential of 12 V, and another with a potential of 0 V, then we'll have a potential difference of 12 V. If both wires have 12 V, there will be no potential difference between them, and electric force will be zero.. Therefore, the mains electrical systems are made up of two wires, one called phase and another called neutral. The neutral wire shows a potential of zero and the phase wire is where the electric energy is transmitted. As there is a potential difference between phase and neutral, there is electric force. In mains distribution network the voltage is alternated, as the electric force of the phase wire varies along the time making a sine wave. Ground is a signal having a zero volts potential. It is used to level the electric potential between electrical equipments. Usually the ground is connected to the metallic casing of the equipment. In equipments where the cabinet is made of plastic, ground is connected to the internal metallic case existing inside the equipment. You must be wondering what is the difference between ground and the neutral wire, once both have a zero volts potential. It happens that the neutral wire potential may vary due to the equipment connected to it and installed in your house or office. For example, it comes out of the public power utilities with a zero volts potential, but due to the connected equipment, the neutral wire may be showing a slightly higher potential, say of 6 volts. The potential difference between neutral and phase will then be 6 volts lower. As electrical equipment usually have a high tolerance this voltage drop will not affect its operation (in this example the voltage lowering will be from 127 volts to 121 volts, and the equipment operation is not affected). But ground shows a permanent zero volts potential. Ground potential is obtained by means of a steel/copper bar into the ground. As Earth is an perennial source of electrons, its potential is absolutely stable. In case any equipment tries to alter the ground voltage (as it happens to the neutral), the voltage in excess will be diverted to the Earth, thus holding its electrical potential always in zero volts. The issue is that the ground wire is meaningful only when we are operating with interconnected equipment where there can be no potential difference between them. An electric iron, a mixer or a lamp will operate without that zero volts ground reference, even if the neutral is presenting voltage differences, due to their tolerances. (That is not absolutely true if one considers the user who contacts a metallic part of the equipment while contacting ground simultaneously).
  11. hi! everyone!! specially to the administator... i just want to share this article on how to read binary orgin.... shareodie Ok, i picked binary up in all of 2 minutes, so it shouldn’t be hard for the rest of ya; here's the break down - things to know A) Binary reads from RIGHT to left The Zeros and Ones aren't numbers - they're symbols C) The Zero (0) symbol represents an empty place holder D) The One (1) symbol represents a filled in place holder E) Excess zeros may be dropped F) Each place represents the number of the previous place multiplied by 2 (2X) (128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1) Example: 00000101 This binary number is equal to 5; the first 0 represents {1}, the second {2}, and the third {4}; Since the First and Third place are filled in (with a 1 symbol) the value is equal to 4 AND 1 which = 5 Because of rule E we can just write this number as 101, instead of 00000101. Next Example: 100101 This one is equal to 1 + 4 + 32 = 37 Now, can you figure these out? Q1) 10111111 Q2) 21 If you have any further questions just post it or PM me, I’m on SOD frequently. A1) 191 A2) 10101 hope this help stay cool!!
  12. hi! everyone!! specially to the administrator i just want to share this cool! tutorial on how to block a site without software installed!!?? origin... shareodie Steps: 1] Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc 2] Find the file named "HOSTS" 3] Open it in notepad 4] Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.sitenameyouwantblocked.com , and that site will no longer be accessable. 5] Done! -So- 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.0.2 www.blockedsite.com -->www.blockedsite.com is now unaccessable<-- For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip (127.0.0.2) and then the addy like before. IE: 127.0.0.3 www.blablabla.com 127.0.0.4 www.blablabla.com 127.0.0.5 www.blablabla.com hope this helps
