  1. for those who don't know 0.9.1 version of firefox it's out and it works applying the same process as before on config.ini
  2. until now i haven't been able to do test it and works!! thanks
  3. close all windows and type in the dialog run: "cmd.exe". then move to your directory like "CD C:\mydirectory and" and use the command "DEL CBROM215.exe" and then "Yes". if file has note been seen in explorer (explorer is trying to show an icon from the .exe file because of that it's in use). i forgot 1 thing: do not use quotes (") in the sentences
  4. i didn't know anything about GUIR until i read your FAQ, thanks for that. while i was posting, i was downloading GUIR and GANT2 pack, now that i have tested i see it fits perfect with my firefox theme (apollo 1.5) and i like it a lot i wonder if Fizical will do a pack with ChaNinja SubZero icons ... that i think it's the best i've seen (appart from crystal, orion and fauxs-x). thanks again
  5. it's a very extensive guide, good work, most of the people don't know how can they replace or that a replace of system files it possible. my problem it's that localized shells pack (english for example) give me menus in foreign languages i will bookmark the sites thanks
  6. i will just say one stupid thing: PE is a "Preinstallation Environment" and can not be used as a proper OS, i will not talk about 32bit applications and many other things that will have a problem with a PE i will talk about the first thing i said: if you want to browse the net u will need a firewall (xp default for example) and a antivir. if u don't use that you are exposed to blasters and sassers so minimal installation with inet tools and a minimum security about... ~800Mb. if inet it's the primary need don't look for PE, look for nLite and the office shrink tool.
  7. i've got the same problem in winter my CPU it's in idle at 33º/36º. the problem it's that here in spain and particularly in my location yesterday we got a record: ambient 44º and a personal record: CPU reached 54º while playing (volcano 12+ at full RMPs!!). i think u can solve your problem, first if it was from last year to current open your case and clean of dust fan arounds and wholes to make sure you have an optimal air circuit. if that not solve the problem buy 2 8cm fans and use them in your HDs (probably 2 nearer HD can overheat the case temp). another time if that not solve the problem try reverting your fans from out-air to in-air or check combinations of them (that gave me -5º). and finally if u don't want to spend more money than the necessary or do not want to use watercooling try to buy a CPU fan with a potenciometer/regulator so you can play with RPMS and ambient temperature. i hope this help
  8. i don't wanna kill your dream but i think u will never leave a 200mb installed xp probably you will take the installation source down 300mb (you'll need to leave all internet options and internet features). but on HD this seems a lot of more for example dllcache will take ~150mb plus and the pagefile.sys file will take 4/3 of your ram (512MB is my ram allocation and my pagefile fills 766mb). if it is a personal question ( ) you can disable WFP and remove your pagefile but that will cause a very unstable configuration and a virus source (thinking in that your primary use will be the inet)
  9. @buckeyeXP i'm currently building a website and i would like to host your versions of office shrink. would u like to have a mirror?? if so please post me the links to the final/multilingual versions of your tool.
  10. i really want to install this software silently. nowbody have replied. any ideas??
  11. sorry because i've never run javascript code... how can i run it from programs.cmd (commandline)?
  12. someone know wich will be the release date for other languages like spanish?? i think i can remember that when SP1 was released, the spanish SP1 was a week later or so.
  13. my opinion: if u don't have a browser with the pause and resume downloads option (like firefox or opera) go for getright, i think it still r00lz
  14. i promised to me to not write again in this spam thread but i can't read this and be quiet well, well... have u done the 100 examples with IE?? you're very very funny because one of the firsts (multitab) can't be done with any external-support and that it's the obvious there are 99 more. another time a joke, that was exactly i said some posts ago and another time if i need to go WU every 15 days and download MBs i can't belive how you can defend that piece of s*** of browser. and the final joke, yes of course it takes a little more resources than firefox but without multitab!! that means that every window you open of IE will take x2 the resources. don't discuss this because everyone in your one PC can test it (and i will not talk about that sometimes when you access a web from explorer it load thread processes from IE and when you leave it they're still resident!! ). @neosapience i remember you that we're discussing a vanilla IE (without enhancements, addons, resident programs... and it sucks!!). i think none will take nothing clearly, you won't win R-E-S-P-E-C-T from micr0s0ft and IE will not be better without external help.
  15. @DarkPhoenix it's a language problem, my sentences are not clear or you can't understand me. what i want to say it's clear IE sucks and microsoft it's expending more time on fixing that buggy thing of browser than improving it features. i think we all miss the point and another time i will not give any more because we touch all of them here (+/-), i'll simply recommend u all to not use IE, go out and check alternatives!! that's what i did and after tests and reviews i have selected mozilla firefox (0.9 version and beats IE in most things) as the best (without quotes ) browser. i will not critize IE because of it's microsoft origin (although i don't like microsoft to much), i'll critize it because i need to go for a windows update every 15 days and if i want to use IE i need to update it, download google toolbar, download multitab support, download a lot of tools that i don't want to and because browsing the web takes me 100 f***** mb of system resources. that's the last time i post in this thread (i think) so hope this long-posts-thread help anyone. see u all in the net and god bless us
  16. @DarkPhoenix when i said "best" it doesn't mean what you think it was an ironic expression like "the one that sucks". another time i think the same but repeat the same points as you don't give us more trust. applied to every IE user: i think u all guys started web browsing with IE because it was the first thing that u found and the main reason why IE sucks it's that u need tools like google bar or MyIE2 to use the same funcionalities that firefox has. i think none have note the posibilities to customize the appearance of firefox (i know that IE-lovers will say that this is not important but i like to see my browser like i want and no like "it" wants). when IE had the same possibilities as firefox (popup blocking, skins, appearance posibilities, multitabs, extensions, format support...) i will move to IE. things like non standart support it doesn't matter for me if are supplied with the half things i can implement with extensions and with no "annoyer-memory-resident-program".
  17. WOW AMAZING!! i live in spain and here 256/128 costs about 42$. i think it's the poor DSL in europe. soon the companies will offer services between 512 and 1mb for the same € but will still be the expensive DSL in europe ps: forgot 1 thing, it's dynamic DSL
  18. DarkPhoenix i agree with you in all (or many) points. i think IE it's the "best" because it's the most used (obviously because it's integrated in the main OS and if i go for first time on inet probably i will use IE, why go further??). another thing it's that IE have no popup blocking so most of the pages will be optimized to the most used and "eat-ads" browser. having this clear i can say that for the easy of use, services and speed i will always prefer firefox (mozilla based browsers). if any1 of u don't think the same go ckeck for reviews, some will prefer opera others mozilla firefox but iexplorer will be always the last
  19. it uses a ZIP SFX, after extracting it i found a setup.exe and bdprof.msi. i will use the /QB! switch to make the silent install (i haven't test it yet but it is supposed to work). the problem it's that i don't know how to register it once installed. i've found in my registry: but i think this only mess with the msi installer. maybe the key it's on the BD dir, isn't it??
  20. i just sent you a mail and sorry because i didn't include my actual mail (*@hotmail.com). hope i can register my gmail account
  21. thanks, it's an old question but you help me a lot
  22. if you always look the larger market probably you will always not get the best. what u want: a browser with lot of security problems, without multitab support, higher system resources...? or a browser that do the same as iexplorer but only a few pages are showed wrong? the answer it's that today the best browser ever it's mozilla (firefox in my case), i've tested it for 2 years and i got this conclusion. the other answer is that if we look to tomorrow iexplorer will not be integrated in microsoft OSs and with competency between them iexplorer will be improved (gates only think in users until they see other resources ) finally this is obviusly a subjective opinion
  23. @Bâshrat the Sneaky thanks, now i'm a little bit more anxious
  24. mmm... what about including the CTCOMP.DAT file in the .inf file??
