AMAZING!! when i read the topic i thought my installation worked perfectly with the language pack (nero in spanish) because i didn't saw any errors but now that i opened the first time i see it in english so i'm really insterested in how this can be done. my installation looks like this:

lot of thanks a lot for your reply, what i thought it's that if i install only WDM drivers, then with sharedaccess.ini & rasphone.pbk will not be necessary to install the full package (you know C:\install\Alcatel330\xxxxx\setup.exe -s setup.iss). i wonder if it's posible no need to run the .EXE installation. finally i think the better way it's testing it in the unattended installation if someone knows please tell me

well i have find something interesting for users of non-english office verions. follow this process, it's tricky but you will find a solution to reduce the size of office: start: you got the unattended.mst and administrative installation start shrink48.exe. and copy office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML to the target of shrink exe file for example: C:\office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML to D:\office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML don't know why installation will fail. i checked my D:\office\FILES\SETUP folder where i found \PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML (maybe i copied the file in a wrong place or maybe the installation moved the directory or don't know why). another time started shrink48.exe and copied: C:\office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML to D:\office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML with this, installation started but it didn't find the necessary files, and it asked for the files needed, so it's a lot of work copy everytime every file that installation asks to the target folder but very useful if you are running a minimal installation, asking only for a few files. i think it will help the author (i'm running this method now in the other pc i will upload the logs when i finish it) EDITED: my logs are here, they show the installation asks for a few files until it needs critical files like EXCEL.EXE and then it shows "retry or cancel"

thanks for reply, nop, only 2 different folders and both with drivers, i think one of them is for random ip configuration (the one i use) and the other for fixed ip, but i don't know how to identify them and what does it mean IPoA and PPPoE

well i want to slipstream the drivers of this modem in my unattend cd and yesterday searching in program files i found a folder called \Alcatel330\ and 2 subdirectories \Alcatel330\IPoA and \Alcatel330\PPPoE. the folder pppoe don't have a .inf file but the driver files are still there. i wonder what folder i need to put in the $OEM$ drivers folder. i add a screenshot for best references. i'll wait your help

@buckeyeXP i can't find a solution on slimming down office2k3 and i can't finish my unattended cd because of the huge size (227mb SFX RAR for office). i hope you release a multilingual office 2k3 shrink utility (soon ) @alhaddar first check obvious things like installing office on a clean system (no office installed earlier) check out you're running an english version of office, you have administrative privileges, your office version it's simple (not 10in1 or 5in1 versions) and you followed the guide step by step.

i think you've got the office 10in1 version (i also have a 5in1 version in spanish of office) may help you that the exe file you need to run it's "setuppro.exe /a" like you said. what surprise me it's you don't mention that in process of installation it asks for "setup.exe" and you have to ignore it and then copy setuppro.exe to %officesource%\setuppro.exe renaiming it to setup.exe. this may help you

bad news it don't work copied the file from C:\office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML to D:\office\FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\OFFICE11\3082\011\SKU011.XML didn't work, i also copied the sku011.xml file to sources C:\office and D:\office. good news is that i have captured the screen when error prompts: "Error 25003. No puede continuar la instalación de Microsoft Office porque está dañado el origen de la instalación." -> "Error 25003. Can not continue with Microsoft Office installation because the source of install it's damaged" if you need the logs i'll upload'em

log files from D:\ running source installation of office 2003 (spanish version) from C:\office\setup.exe (shrink tool in the same folder) and with target D:\office. the installation started and stops after a short time with error 25003 (i haven't got enough time to read the error message, something like unable to configure it), later shrinkage is complete (new space on disk: 7 mb and num of files copied: 0) hope it can help and sorry for this long post office.log office2.log shrink.ini

i also have the same problem and for now i didn't find any solution. try posting in the office 2003 shrink and hope the author can improve the program

yes, WinXP has built in drivers for the sb 16/32/64. i had a 200mmx with sb awe64 and 32mb ram. and i tried to install xp in that machine to see if it can handle it, the installation concluded and it worked great recognizing all my hardware (but so slooooowly). note that if you want to install xp in a machine with less of 64mb ram u have to change two lines in txtsetup and dosnet. finally a question: Bâshrat when will be available the new version of your drivers?! i'm waiting for the next version to test it in my SB Audigy2

thanks for your reply [bM]Crusher but i don't have that foler and file i have checked it in google and yes the file it's on the office cd but in the admin installation it's not copied or something. any other ideas??? do anyone know other way to reduce the size of installation??? mmmm... could be possible to create a log of the files copied to HD during the installation??? this way you can remove them manually (lof of work but it would help me)

that was thanks MCT in the guide it is said that they can be used with any soundblaster live! and up. currently i have and an audigy 2 player and they work great! note that if you don't have the hardware you wouldn't notice the change but now i have lot of software features like the equalizer, thx console, etc that i didn't have before (they also said that a better quality and less cpu use are posible with this drivers)

i think you're talking about sb live! drivers or non-audigy drivers. the audigy2 drivers can not be installed alone from an update, the installation program do not continue and secondly there are 2 updates in the creative site SBA2_EAX4DRV_031031.exe & SBA2_WEBUP_PCWDRV_1-84-40.exe. if you're runing a sb live! / audigy 1 you have to patch the drivers from audigy2 zs to use them. sorry if i wasn't very clear. try searching for the audigy 2 ZS hacked drivers guide "Guide: How to install Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS drivers on Live!/Audigy/Audigy 2" (i can't remember the forum that i found it sorry) and try with'em

if your MB have support for that u can check it in the bios and could be possible that a DOS program can read it (don't know anyone). try google instead

i have readed it buckeyeXP because of that i added the office.log and said "waiting for a new version to test again!!..." hopping that u can fix that in a short of time

i'm using now the Office Shrink tool but it founds and error in the early stage of the installation maybe because i'm using the spanish version
