  1. Is it possible to run SMB4k (from linux-KDE) on a WindowsXP system? Couldn't find any good results with google...

  3. Strange indeed, extualey never heard anything like it . Perhaps a bit drastic but as I always say: Can't get it solved... FORMAT C: /Q Have you tried updating or reconfiguring your OS ?
  4. Does anyone know if there is a good and working .NET messenger server out there? I know that they are out there ! I'd like to experiment with one on my private lan.
  5. I recently installed Linux slackware 9 on one of my hdd's (Western Digital 120GB 8MB). After a week or so i got bored with it and tryed to install WindowsXP Pro again... The windows setup was unable to create a suitable partition for xp. So I tried Fdisk, it was also unable to create ANY partition (tryed low-level format several times). Eventualy Partition Magic 8 was able to create a new NTFS partition and solved several of the partition table problems, but still I can't have windows boot from that drive I've tried anything I could come up with... anyone any ideas ? (Tryed Fdisk,PM8,DriveSpace,Defragmentation,Scandisk,WinXP recovery) All I can think of is that the zero track has been corrupted... perhaps a result of LiLo and WinBoot getting mixed up?
  6. That's not the problem, dust filters are clean, and the airflow is correct... !! Doesn't anyone has a good idea what could be the matter?? Buying a watercooling is my last resort... but IT JUST SHOULD NOT BE NESSESARY !! plz reply.
  7. I'm having problems with heat.... My CPU used to be a reasonable 35°C in Windows.... Atleast that whas last summer. Today that's !! 45°C !! if I play games longer than 1 hour my cpu gets above 60°C and shuts down. Even my PSU get's overheated !!! What I don't get is WHY... I'm running games and software no different than last year, except I've added 2s-ata hdd's (raid). I fear that I am not able to use my pc in the summer because of this problem... because the heat outside is yet to come. (in my room temp. can get 36°C at easy) Any tips/hints/solutions/idea's ??? Buying a watercooling is my last resort... hope it's not needed (money problems ) Software is not the problem... neither is the airflow...
