Did you install anything recently? Are you running Server 2000 or 2003? I believe you can login as Administrator if you start up the computer in Safe Mode. Press F8 repeatedly as the computer is booting up and choose Safe Mode from the list that appears. This is only a temporary fix.

Yeah guys, please stay on topic! As for the mods, it is a real pain in the butt to reapply them all after every upgrade. I know xper already has a lot of mods installed on the forum. So let's try to keep his work load down as we all have lives outside of MSFN (I hope).

Does your XP CD function in another computer? If you're hard drive is making a "rusty fan" noise, the head is probably or has probably scratching/ed the HD's cylinders. As for the CD-ROM drive, I have no idea. My advice would be to give it a few days of rest and see what happens after that. If it doesn't work and you still have a warranty, I would send it back... Anyone else think the HD's fried?

OK, great. I was planning on logging in as Administrator, so there shouldn't be any problems there. Just to be clear, it resets the profile but doesn't delete the account and keeps all folder permissions in place, correct?

Hey guys, Does deleting (or resetting, whatever you want to call it) a person's profile also reset the HKCU keys in the registry as well? See attached. Basically, if I press the delete button (when logged on as administrator), will it also clear the HKCU keys in the registry for that particular profile?
