  1. Why doesn't anyone read the rules!?!? Refer to D22's post. [ Closed. ]
  2. First, it would be nice if you could post in the right forum. [ Moved. ]
  3. I think its the same model! Canadian and US models are usually the same...
  4. I think this has been posted before... Still, pretty funny!
  5. If you have Windows XP Pro, you can just open up the command line (cmd.exe), type "systeminfo" without the quotes, and it should give you all that info.
  6. Use Apache. http://www.apache.org/
  7. This topic is great:
  8. Thanks on behalf of the MSFN team!
  9. Dad has one. I think I use it more than he does when I'm with him. Very useful for surfing the net and e-mailing when you're away from a computer.
  10. Custom building comps rocks... You never have to deal with crappy tech support....
  11. Are both systems running Windows XP? If yes, is one Home and the other Professional or both Pro/Home? Also, are you using a router to connect the two computers or a crossover cable? If you are running Windows XP Pro on both computers, is Simple File Sharing turned on or off? BTW, you might want to search the forum. This issue has been addressed before.
  12. DMZ Host setting on your router. Torrents depend on seeders. The more seeders there are, the faster your file will download. If there aren't many seeders, then you get slow speeds.
  13. Why not just use a loop? for( $i = 0; $i < 100; $i++ ) { // Do what you want in here... } So $i is set to 0, and is incremented each time it runs until $i = 99, since it'll stop when $i can no longer be less than 100.
  14. A little searching never hurt: http://www.networkworld.com/news/2005/100505-windows-xp.html http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,122903,00.asp
  15. Come on people!!! Please contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a restore CD for your computer. And for reference: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=18408 [ Topic closed. ]
  16. You're running an OEM version of Windows XP. The key will not install any other version of XP other than that supplied by the computer manufacturer that you bought your computer from. My suggestion to you is to call up HP and see if they will send you a restore CD or a legit copy of Windows XP at no charge, proving that you bought a PC from them. Another thing I would suggest is to not even mention you are using an illegal copy of Windows XP on your computer. Have you read the forum rules? [ Topic closed, and please do not create a new one concerning this matter. ]
  17. Short answer: No. All of what your asking is illegal to do. Unless you're backing up the wpa.dbl file of an already activated system to reinstall Windows on that same system. nLite does none of this anyway. [ Closed. ]
  18. The oldest desktop computer I have is this baby right here: It still works, as you can see! A whole 40MB hard drive, floppy drive, 4MB of RAM and an 8MHz processor! Its been maxed out!! Full details here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_...ac_classic.html Works great for old games!
  19. New MP3 count is 3459.
  20. I've had my Dell with an nLited XP running for about 130 days now... Still runs as fast as it would on a fresh boot! Don't run too many apps while your computer is running for that long period of time... It tends to fill up your RAM and leave excess stuff in there (from my experiences, anyway) as well as other temporary files in your computer's drive(s)! Also, if you're careful with your computer, you should disable System Restore since that'll eat up some stuff while its running!

Now this post proves you did not read my comment above. Let me repeat it: POSTS IN THIS FORUM DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOUR TOTAL POST COUNT!!!
  22. You need the CDs that Dell provided you with in order to use that product key on the Dell sticker. It will not work with any other copy except with the one from Dell. However, I believe that Dell CDs use a generic product key that only install on Dell systems, so that key would be unecessary when installing using the Dell CD.
