  1. Are you running Home Edition?
  2. That would be this: I use this on my home computers!
  3. Its NOT true: http://slashdot.org/articles/05/12/23/1329...&tid=95&tid=187
  4. I called Dell today regarding a friend's laptop which I am repairing. ALL I WANTED WAS THE REPAIR CD!! They had to verify the person's address, telephone number, which I had no knowledge of (I only know them where they work and who they are)... Let's just say I ended up ending the call with them... And honestly, do they HAVE to have the call centers in India? No offense to anyone, but the connection was awful and I could not understand half of what "John" was trying to tell me...
  5. Just thought this was funny: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=27...940&q=ipod+nano
  6. Hey guys, Its been a while, but here's the final product. The article was written by a friend of mine... I helped him understand how everything should be installed! Check my site!
  7. Here's a bootable XP CD I'm working on... I'm going to be keeping it under 210MB so it can fit on one of those mini CDs. So far, its 194MB!
  8. Its not HTML... Its PHP! And here how to do it: http://www.alt-php-faq.org/local/24/ If you want to learn more about PHP, visit the website http://www.php.net!
  9. Bookmarked.
  10. Have a great one, man!
  11. I'll give you $10 for that laptop with no network adapter!
  12. Hey guys, Just wondering what floppy boot utilites everyone uses, such as boot managers, partitioners, etc... That is IF you still use floppies every once and a while!
  13. They check your IP's hostname. It's relatively simple to do.
  14. We ended up getting around 40-50cm (20 inches) of snow today... Its nuts... The av was put together while I had my webcam on. It was taking pics every x number of seconds while I was adjusting it... It just so happens that that's what it came up with!
  15. Thanks. Oh, and congrats on finding the pool in all that snow! We had an Ice Storm here in MTL in 1998. I believe it lasted about a week with no power and the bridges closed (so people were unable to come to the city). DL, do you mean this av?
  16. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=5 New forum has been created. Direct your questions and comments there, please. [ Closed. ]
  17. Hey everyone, For the last few weeks, Montreal's had almost no snow... Well, that all changed at about 3AM this morning... Its been snowing non-stop at a rate of about 5cm/hour (2 inches/hour)... Take a look at these pics of my front and back yard! Note: The snow removal guy removed most of the snow already...
  18. Its been brought down to six since I'm using one as a server now... I have two connected to a KVM switch that share one monitor, I have two laptops (an Apple iBook and an old 150MHz NEC laptop). The NEC laptop has Linux installed on it. Then I have an old Mac Classic that has its own monitor (8" monitor) and another old Mac which is sitting in my closet, but still works! I've got a 1.7GHz Dell in my basement that no one uses (since my parents prefer using their laptops), two servers next to it (web/ftp server and a voip server) as well as my mother's laptop. My father's laptop got stolen last week. Someone broke into his car IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY and ran off with it. I don't know how the robber saw it since my dad has tinted windows and was hiding it under one of his seats...
  19. Before making stupid and rude replies to other people's, why not take a look at the rules? war59312's response was perfectly valid. I myself have seen this question answered many times. You'll be surprised at what you can find if you just search the forums!
  20. What happens when your 160 minutes of battery power runs out? You lose all your data...
  21. This might be what you're looking for! http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/IP-Address-...1-10201372.html I've used it in the past and works great!
  22. Yeah, but see here... Neo can dodge anything, and moves too fast for Obi-Wan! Neo is "the one".
  23. He got pwned.
  24. These are getting so old, so fast...
  25. Hey guys, Been trying to figure this out for a while. Is there a way to hide certain directories in a directory listing in Apache if someone connects from a certain IP using a .htaccess file? Basically, let's say my IP address is 1.1.1.1 (theoretically) and this IP is on the deny list in my .htaccess file, is there a way to hide one of the directories in the directory its accessing? Am I clear? Thanks.
