My MSDNAA account only shows Vista Business at the moment. I would think so. The Windows 7 RC showed up on my MSDNAA just a few days after its initial release. Not sure. Yes, it will be approved eventually. I would say at the same time that it appears on MSDN, but it has to be approved by a school administrator like you mentioned. Yes. They should be the same ones as far as I know. That includes "Developer AA" which I am a part of. And still, it is not available for download. Why is this? Each school has its own MSDNAA page which handles authentication through its own servers (at least that's how mine is). As I mentioned before, an administrator has to approve the release of software on the MSDNAA page.

some people tried this on a german board and it fails when doing sysprep with a MSDTC error. using the Audit mode to install first Sp1 and Sp2 seams to work. Where's nuhi when things go terribly wrong... You better correct me in the other topic then, or else people are going to start yelling at me.

Back in the early days, we used to have monthly topics for people to post screenshots of their desktops. Nowadays, people post in a sticky for the year and, I guess, post other screenshots of their desktops in new threads if they want to change/improve something.

Are you refrering to this topic: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=134783 I dont see any topic talks about how to slipstream SP2 , if there is a guide for please give me a link for it in the topic (link above) they mentioned something about downloading an ISO image "Download the ISO image from your MSDN" Like MagicAndre1981 mentioned, there are three links in that topic that guide you step-by-step on how to slipstream service packs (the links are very hard to miss). No - you can get the ISO image from MSDN ONLY if you have a subscription to it (which costs $$$$$). If you already have an original Vista DVD, there is no need to get an MSDN subscription. Just slipstream SP1 with vLite and THEN slipstream SP2 using the reverse integration method mentioned in the topic. If you don't want to bother with the reverse integration method, slipstream SP1 using vLite without removing anything, install it on your PC, and then install SP2.

I think this sums it up pretty well: http://nliteos.com/nlite.html, but it is NOT an OS, just a tool to modify your OS (i.e., 2000, XP, and Server 2003). And yes, by removing components, you *might* be able to get XP running on an older/slower system. [ Moved. ]

Your exact question has been answered already. Next time, please use the forum's search function or the Google box above.

If you're worried about system resources, try slimming down Windows XP with nLite before you install it. Windows 2000 is less of a hog on resources. Though, it won't run all programs that run under XP. Windows 2000 has extended support until July 13, 2010. Wine works fine with most common XP programs. You'll want to install Ubuntu last to save you from a bunch of booting headaches (and it doesn't take a drive letter like Windows, fyi). So, Windows ME, Windows 2000, then Ubuntu. You might want to also consider just running it from a Live CD before you go and install it on your hard drive(s).

If you removed components from your vLite'd SP1, then no, SP2 won't install. Otherwise, if you haven't removed anything, then I believe there's a registry key you have to remove in order to get SP2 to install (search the board - it's been mentioned tons of times).

m171271, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini file and please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, to do all of your work in one nLite session (using the latest version), and to integrate only one service pack.Secondly, there is no excuse for making that many coasters - always test your nLite'd image in a virtual machine before burning it to CD/DVD. Just out of curiosity... Are you using your nLite'd copies of XP in a corporate environment? Finally... [ Moved. ]

It's not. We just don't support leaked software.[ Closed. ]

No. You have to rebuild your copy of Vista (with an original copy) with vLite and then reinstall it.

Use vLite to slipstream SP1, then use the reverse integration method to slipstream SP2. -
Your best bet would be to contact PayPal. It's never given me that page.

Yes, but as a secondary OS.

Interesting, because it seems that I was written a provincial ticket, yet the ticket states that I can contest it at the local courthouse. I wonder if the same thing would apply. In all honesty, I would rather show up to court, plead guilty, and pay a lesser fine (or the full fine) than have to pay the full fine AND get points.

D'oh... Just checked out my car... Turns out I had my digital speedometer set to mph instead of km/h, so, technically I was following the posted limit, just in the wrong units... Must have happened while getting into the car. So much for having a Civic... *facepalm*
-
Hold up a sec... $436 USD for going 7 mph (~12 km/hr) over the limit? Wow, and I thought I had it bad...
